00110010 | One small animal adopts another~ [OPEN]

Characters: Chihiro Fujisaki and you!
Setting: The kitchen -> The forest on the 32nd floor - > the 2nd floor dorms -> the 4th floor dorms [Daytime]
Format: Both styles are fine~
Summary: Chihiro tries to look for food in the kitchen (climbs up shelves/cupboards, almost falls). He doesn't find anything so he decides to pick some berries from the forest and befriends a bunny! He decides to take said bunny with him so that no one else will catch and eat it... After that, he goes to the 2nd floor dorms as he wants to show his best friend/bro, Mondo, his bunny friend! And it ends with Chihiro back in his dorm room trying to hide the bunny so that his roommates won't eat it...
Warnings: Crossdressing, lots of fluff (?) and hopefully no one hurts the bunny?

The kitchen
[Chihiro backs out of the ground level cupboard he'd crawled into with a flashlight a kind lady (Willow) had given him earlier.]

There's nothing to eat here.... What about on the higher shelves?

[He tries to reach the high shelves on tiptoe... It doesn't work. So he looks around for anything he might stand on and finds a stool. He climbs up on it and can just abouuuut touch reach the shelf when the stool starts wobbling dangerously then it starts to tip... Will anyone catch him before he falls?]

The forest
[Since there was really nothing to eat in the kitchen. Chihiro decides to revisit the forest he'd found just the other day. He'd seen berries growing there and they'd looked edible. He carefully gathers as many as he can and wraps them up in a piece of cloth he'd found in the workshop then places it in his backpack when suddenly he hears a soft rustling nearby. He nervously grabs hold of a tree branch he'd found to protect himself with. He tenses, ready to swing the branch at whoever is sneaking up on him when.... out pops a fluffy brown bunny! It's so cute! The boy and the bunny look at each other with timid curiousity for a moment before Chihiro softly moves closer to it, wanting to pet it. The bunny seems sense that ~~they are the same~~ he means no harm and lets him touch it.]

You so soft! [Laughs happily] So there aren't just monsters here. But it's dangerous for you to be out here, Usagi-san... Someone might try to eat you... [Gets a little teary at the thought then he decides] ... ... I-I'll protect you! I'll keep you safe from anyone who tries to hurt you!

[He reaches out to pick up the bunny. It lets him and Chihiro hugs it gently.] I'll protect you.

2nd floor dorms
[Chihiro runs excitedly down the corridor of the 2nd floor dormitory to room 02-02. Don't bump into anyone, Chihiro! Usagi-san is hidden under his jacket in his arms. He knocks on the door, quite out of breath but so very happy. He can't wait to show his trusted friend what he's got!]

4th floor dorms
[Chihiro nervously sneaks down the 4th floor dormitory corridor to room 04-08 with Usagi-san still hidden in his arms under his jacket. He's going to peer into his room to make sure none of his roommates are in before going in with his new friend...]

Oh...

[Hyunlee looks up when he hears the door open, smiling further when he sees Chihiro peering in like that. As usual, he's with Soma. This time though, the two God Eaters are just lazily seated on Hyunlee's bed.

They're sharing earphones, it seems that they're just lounging and listening to music. There really wasn't much to do in a power out.]

Chihiro-chan, hello. Are you all right?

[Soma would not allow Hyunlee into his room, so the only other option was to 'crash' in 04-08! Sorry for the disturbance!

He slowly looks up from his mp3 player when something seems to have caught the other God Eater's attention. Looking towards the door, he sees the familiar person entering in.

A couple of blinks.]

...Aahh...? You guys are still rooming together?

[The only thing Chihiro sees at first when he looks in is the two of them on the bed together and he blushes thinking that... he's disturbed... something... but then he sees the headphones and realises what's really going on.]

H-Hello, Hyunlee-kun. I didn't know you'd be here. I hope I'm not disturbing you...

[Then he turns to Soma...]

We... you see, this actually is the room I'm assigned to...

[His trunk of stuff is there and he's managed to check his room assignment on the network before it went dead.]

[Hyunlee blinks at Chihiro's blush, wondering why he seems nervous. Though, he gives Soma a small look to excuse himself before sliding his piece of the earphones off for now.

He stands shortly, placing the other end on Soma's lap before heading to Chihiro's side. He bends a little to the kid's level as he smiles out.]

I see. Then, we're roommates! I've been assigned to this room as well. Either way, you're never a disturbance to me, okay? Come on in.

[He holds out his hand in a friendly manner, encouraging Chihiro to enter the room. This is his room too, after all. There was no need to be shy!]

[Somebody's imagination is a little too vivid there.

Soma doesn't catch onto the real reason behind Chihiro's blush. He thinks the kid was just embarrassed to be rooming with a bunch of guys. However an idea suddenly crossed his mind.]

...Hey. Maybe this is actually a girl's dorm room....

[IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

Turning towards Hyunlee, he just kind of smirks a little.]

They probably thought you were a girl and placed you here. [Somebody isn't manly enough.

Looking over towards Chihiro now.]

Concerning this moron, [He nods his head towards Hyunlee's direction,] you'll never be disturbing him. He'll always be the one that barges in.

[He smiles and steps inside, though a little nervously as he's not sure what Hyunlee would think about him keeping a pet in the room... though Hyunlee does seem like a very nice person. So he keeps his little bunny friend hidden under the his jacket he's holding in his arms for now.]

Thank you, Hyunlee-kun.

[Well, you two do seem pretty close... Though of course he doesn't realize that the way he follows Mondo around might make people think ~~Mondo's a lolicon~~ that there's something going on between them too.]

Ah! No, Soma-kun! I don't think this-this... [But then they'd know his secret. So he stops himself as he tries to decide if he can trust the two of you with his secret. Would you accept it or think he's a freak? Just then the bunny struggles a bit in his arms. It doesn't want to be covered anymore.] Ah! Usagi-san, stop kicking like that, you'll fall!

[NO... NO, THEY ARE NOT THAT CLOSE. :C :C :C These two will literally have a synchronized surprise if it was brought up... ~~Also, Soma. You're dead in a little while for those side comments.~~

Though, at the small notice that Chihiro's clothes... are moving by itself... Hyunlee shortly realizes that the kid is hiding something inside his top. Huh.]

Usagi-san?

[A rabbit? Did Chihiro have a pet? He didn't notice last time...]

[Wow, it's definitely a good thing Chihiro didn't voice his thoughts out loud. Something would have been flipped over and Soma would rush back into his room, never to return to 04-08 again.]

Have you met your other roommates then? If they all turn out to be girls then... [Casually glancing over towards Hyunlee again.

But he quickly drops the subject when Chihiro seems to be struggling with something. He didn't need to ask his question. Hyunlee just did it for him already.]

[They're lucky the 'super high school level fujoshi' isn't here...]

I... [He looks over at the 2 of them uncertainly. Can he trust them? Well, they did save him previously... So he reveals his new fluffy brown pet bunny.] I... found him in the forest just now... P-please don't eat him.

Soma!!

[QUIT TEASING... Hyunlee gives him a small, frustrated look for a second, but that quickly disappears into the air when Chihiro reveals his tiny friend.]

...o-oh! [CUTE...] No, don't worry. We definitely won't eat any friends of yours.

Though, wait... You said the forest? Is it the one in floor six? I felt strange vibes from that floor... Nothing hurt you two?

[Fine, fine! He'll stop. For now.

There were more concerning matters of course. Like how Chihiro managed to sneak a rabbit all the way up to the dorms.

"We definitely won't eat...."

Whooaaa. Hold up there. Did his gluttonous leader just say something like that?]

Uh... [Soma stops himself from commenting on it. Since Chihiro put so much effort into sneaking the animal here... It's better to not cause any false alarm.]

Yeah, don't worry. It's safe around us.

[Chihiro is much relieved to hear that!]

He's really soft. Do you want to touch him?

[Shakes head] No. The one on the 32nd floor... I went there early in the morning when there were no monsters to pick berries.

[He just going to study Soma. That pause was suspicious and he's going to move closer to Hyunlee and further away from Soma.]

Hmm... There's another forest, huh? [At the mention of berries, though... Hyunlee immediately perks towards his fellow God Eater.] If there's food there, then we should check it out together, Soma!

[Though, he notices that Chihiro is inching closer to him... He laughs a bit and pats the kid's head, indicating that it's okay. Maybe Soma's a little scary sometimes, but he's really very nice.]

Wah, can I really? I've actually never seen a rabbit before...

[It's a sad, long story. :C]

[Cue the offended look when Chihiro seems to be shifting closer to Hyunlee.] H-hey! I'm not going to eat it!

I didn't even know that thing was edible! [Pointing at the bunny now.

Cute and fluffy things don't really exist back in their world.]

There is. I have some berries with me if you want some.

[Just going to stick close to Hyunlee for now.]

You can. He like being petted. Eh? There aren't any rabbits in your world?

O-oh! Thank you, but no. Don't worry about it, Chihiro-chan... You should take care of your supply of food.

We don't know how long this power out would last, after all. Soma and I will manage by ourselves.

[It doesn't feel right if they take a child's food... He's certain that Soma feels the same way.

At the confirmation though, he smiles and reaches out to try petting the bunny. ...s-so cute. And soft!]

[Soma nods his head a little.] Yeah, we can take care of ourselves. [Since there are less monsters lurking during the day, now the two of them know when to start looking for their own meal.]

There probably were... a long time ago.

This would be the first time we've seen one that wasn't in a book or video.

I can go get more.

[Chihiro smiles happily and holds the bunny out for Hyunlee to pet.] Do you want to hold him?

Eh? ... they... are extinct then?

[Does he!! ;u; Hyunlee nods out happily, then gently takes the bunny when offered. He immediately enjoys the warmth and softness of the animal... He looks like he's about to melt anytime soon—]

Wow...! Soma, you need to try this! It's so cute!

They may have been one of the first things to die out.

[Usually the weak are the ones who die out first right? He would have continued but Hyunlee interrupted him with all of his excitement over holding the rabbit.

Soma gives his leader a deadpan look.]

I... don't really want to touch it.

[Chihiro giggles a bit at Hyunlee's excitement.]

First...?

[Has major weakness complex here. Please don't be reminding him of that...

Looks over at Soma.]

It's okay. He won't bite.

Geez! Don't act like an old man, Soma!

[Hyunlee steps closer to his friend before gently placing the bunny on Soma's lap. THERE. He steps back just a little, then watches how he would react to the tiny warmth on his lap... C:

He glances back to Chihiro shortly.]

... Yeah. It's really difficult for us. In our world, there are monsters called Aragami. We're dominated by them. These Aragami are composed of intelligent organisms called Oracle Cell. Each cell has its own mind, so these Aragami are very dangerous and... ordinary weapons don't work on them. That's why... Animals don't have a chance of surviving against these monsters.

The Aragami can devour anything, including nonliving objects. Once they do, they intake information such as their structure and other characteristics. They learn each time they feed. As a result of their devouring... In our world, normal animals such as dogs are very rare. They've already fallen victim to them and evolved into Aragami.

Right. They wouldn't be able to survive—

[.... and his words were suddenly caught off because WOW, Hyunlee, you jerk!

Now that there's a brown ball of fur sitting comfortably on his lap, how the hell is Soma suppose to move around now.]

....Okay. We touched. Can you get it off now?

I see... [That's so sad...] Is there really no way to defeat these Aragami?

Why don't you like him, Soma-kun? [Takes the bunny away]

Unfortunately... We haven't found a way to completely rid of them. Right now, it seems impossible. Though, our world does have us. [faint smile] People like Soma and I, we're hunters specifically tasked to defeat them. We use a special weapon imbued with Oracle Cells, which is effective against Aragami.

This weapon is called a "God Arc," while the hunters who use them are called "God Eaters." That's what we are. We protect that world to the best of our abilities... in order to help secure a future.
