[OPEN] Bring me flowers when it's over~
Characters: Amalia & yours~
Setting: Second Floor, 2-19 area, then cafeteria
Time: Night
Format: No preference
Summary: Amalia's just woken up in the Tower and is Seriously Displeased with the situation.
Warnings: Emotional princess is emotional, so there will probably be some dramatics.
→ I. DORMS - SECOND FLOOR
[ From inside of room 2-19, a quavering voice comes drifting out into the hallway. Amalia is sitting on her bed with the pair of letters in her hands with their paper crinkling as she frets, shaking her head back and forth so that her bright green hair swung around her shoulders. ]
No, no, this can't be right! Eva-- Evangelyne? Where are you?
[ She gets off the bed and goes to the door, but hasn't seemed to have found the strength to step out into the hallway yet. There's a pause and then her voice rises to an unhappy shriek. ]
AND WHAT AM I WEARING?!
---
→ II. CAFETERIA
[ Thankfully she located her clothing in the trunk at the foot of her bed, saving her from having to grow all new ones. In fact there were several of her outfits inside, along with some possessions from her room at home. Along with the encouragement and explanations of the people who'd helped her on the second floor, she was cautiously making her way down to the cafeteria. ]
Oh Sadida... did I get lost already?

Oh Sadida... did I get lost already?
[Dorms]
[Came a voice from the hall way, soon after a very
nonimposing figure stepped in front of the doorway, looking uninterestedly inside the room.]If you need to ask, then you are most likely a new arrival... Welcome to pseudo hell I suppose.
Re: [Dorms]
Re: [Dorms]
But no, no This is no prank dear...
Re: [Dorms]
My world is just fine and I am not your dear! Now please tell me where Evangelyne is!
Re: [Dorms]
comicallyin annoyance.]Your world, as well as every other poor sap's that's in this pathetic tower is as well! You can even go see the state of your precious world in the lab room. It's quite... the amusing sight I admit.
As for who this Evangeline is, I know no one by that name, but if she's not here, they're either dead, or have a chance at showing up here as well sometime in the future.
Re: [Dorms]
[ She wants to just flat out say it's impossible, but after having learned about Yugo and the Eliatropes, Amalia's just not sure any longer what's possible and not possible. Her eyes begin to tear when Veigar claims that they're dead. ]
No... no, it can't be true...
Re: [Dorms]
[Veigar blinked a few times and shuffled awkwardly. Why did they have to cry? What was this?! There's no onions around!!!]
Well, like I said, either whoever else was in that world got wrecked along with it, or they'll pop up in this miserable tower, just like you, just like me, just like everyone else who's here and isn't one of the blasted puppetmasters!
Re: [Dorms]
Re: [Dorms]
So you'd rather people tell you lies? To give you false hope maybe? It'll just be worse when you eventually find out down the road, so it's best to deal with it quickly and promptly so you don't forget what's important now.
[Veigar grinned mischievously, his eyes narrowed as he looked at her.]
Which is not to end up like the rest of the destroyed world and survive in this hostile, wretched tower.
Re: [Dorms]
[ She stares hard right back at him, unwilling to back down. ]
So show me some proof before you tell me my friends aren't here!
Re: [Dorms]
[Veigar began to walk, pausing for a moment and looking back over his shoulder.]
Word of warning, the feeling is... unique and the backlash can be potent.
[With that said, he continued his walk towards Floor Five and the viewing stations.]
Re: [Dorms]
I'm not afraid. But I still want to be able to help -- there must be some way that I can.
[ She's quiet for a moment, keeping pace with Veigar. ]
What's from your world that's where we're going?
Re: [Dorms]
What's about my world? There's nothing I truly regret leaving I suppose, it was all bound to end at some point with how much the League failed to control the use of magic. It would have eventually had a similar fate as to the one you might be witnessing soon once you look at the viewing station...
No worries, it knows who you are and what world you came from and it will show you it's state. Again, last warning, it's not a pleasant sight and the backlash from seeing your world in that state... well it varies from person to person I guess, and how much you cared to begin with.
Re: [Dorms]
[ She's having a hard time phrasing that so it isn't a hypothetical, but she doesn't want to keep arguing with Veigar since he's being accomadating at the moment. ]
I appreciate your warning. I'm afraid I've been a little rude... my name is Amalia Sheran Sharm. What's yours?
Re: [Dorms]
[Veigar looked at her curiously before nodding.]
I am Veigar, master of time and space arts and wielder of raw power!
[Of course he had to yell it, it wouldn't be him!]
Pleasant to meet you Amelia Sheran Sharm.
Re: [Dorms]
[ It kind of did, but not in a way she thought she'd be able to emulate. ]
That's quite an impressive title, but it's a little long -- but my name is too. So you can call me Amalia and I'll call you Veigar!
Re: [Dorms]
Are you certain you wish to face what lies in the viewing stations?
Re: [Dorms]
No... I'm not ready at all. I'm sure someone as wise as yourself can tell that even without any deception.
[ She takes a deep breath. ]
But if it's really true, I can't hide from it. I can't stay ignorant when I have the opportunity to learn the truth. It's not very good behaviour for a princess, and it's not the kind of person I want to be.
So even though I may hate it, or be very afraid of it, I still have to face it.
Re: [Dorms]
[He points towards the screens and looks back to her.]
All you have to do is get close and look... it'll know... it always knows what world to show.
Good luck Amalia, I'll be right here.
Re: [Dorms]
Finally she bowed her head and stepped away, hiding her face in her hands. She takes a few shaky steps, but then her strength seems to give out and waves, falling against the wall. ]
I...
Re: [Dorms]
[Veigar said in a calm voice, walking up behind the girl and looking from her, to the viewing station, then back again.]
At least now you know. That's what you wanted, correct?
Re: [Dorms]
No one could expect that, even with all the warnings in the world, Veigar. I know why you tried to keep me from looking.
How did this happen? How could someone or something just... destroy like that?
[ And then in a much smaller voice: ]
But I can't... can't really be the only one left? What about the Tree?
Re: [Dorms]
However, his other side simply laughed, he knew why anyone would destroy hell he THRILLED in destruction himself. Both out of vengeance or spite, or sometimes even just because HE COULD. He didn't seek power and become the most powerful for no reason... no he wanted to make the world pay...
And yet now...]
Sometimes they don't have a reason... sometimes they just do it because they can.
[He took a moment and moved closer, placing a gauntleted hand on her back in an attempt at comfort.]
Like I said earlier, they might, or might not show up here... No one really knows who was saved and who didn't make it. If anything, you can take comfort in the fact that you never know because they don't always show up at the same time you do.
Re: [Dorms]
I understand... I won't let go of my hope that I'll see them again.
Re: [Dorms]
Hope is a strong aspect... it can even become a powerful weapon or defense in times of great strife and grief...
[He'd seen as such during the invasion of Ionia by their enemies... such a small City-State and it still was able to survive such an onslaught even when things looked dire.]
I think you'll be fine here Amalia.
