We're going on a monster hunt
Characters: Romeo and you!
Setting: All around the tower, night time. Pick a floor!
Format: Either!
Summary: Romeo goes monster hunting
Warnings: Here be monsters. But I'll add if anything serious comes up
Romeo padded out of his room quietly, trying not to wake up his roommates. If they were all even in bed. Sometimes they weren't.
He skipped down the hallway and then slowed to a walk when he got to the staircase. He held his knife in his hand and it was time to go and train. Since everyone who had ever tried to teach him to fight had long vanished from the tower, Romeo had figured that just practicing himself was best.
He was getting better. Though he usually still got overwhelmed and had to end the night with a mad dash up to his room.
He jumped off the staircase into the corridor of floor ninety three, hearing noises. Soon there was a scuttling as a few miniblin's approached, on the ceiling and floor. Romeo didn't really like hurting monsters, but they had hurt his friends first and he had to get stronger in order to help everyone. So he gripped his knife and rushed at the first one, dodging teeth as he did so.
He continued on after that, every now and again entering a floor to fight monsters, running away if he got too overwhelmed but for the most part sticking to one's he knew he could fight, even if it was hard. He was cut and bruised by half way through the night, but learning how to look after injuries was something he had been trying to teach himself too, so he could help his friends if they got hurt!

Floor Ninety
Lina wasn't sure what was going on when she came to this floor, other than something big and nasty was making a racket and chasing someone. So on impulse, she threw out a powerful concentration of ice magic to try and stop the thing - or slow it down enough that whoever it was chasing could get away.

"Okay, now we leave!"

That said, Lina made a beeline for the stairs, glancing back partway up. "Just be careful, the next one up is open, and I can't use magic there if that thing chases us, so keep movin'!"

"Yeah, I know - just," she pauses, then clenches her jaw for a moment. "If it goes bad, you keep runnin', alright?"
