Exploring
Characters: Capell and open
Setting: Room 1-18 and then Staircases Monday also floor 55 (incinerator)
Format: Any
Summary: Capell wonders what is going on now.
Warnings: nothing major
[Just after explosions] The explosions had woken Capell up. He blinked into the darkness of his room and stood up, he had no roommates to disturb so he grabbed his sword, slipped on his shoes and stepped into the corridor blinking in the flickering light. At first nothing seems wrong, but Capell has been here long enough to know that explosions are never good things. And after last month he is incredibly wary of them.
When he gets to the staircase it is obvious what has happened, or at least what it has caused. Capell goes no where near the wires, they don't look safe. But he does walk down the staircase a few floors, the damage continues.
[Later: floor 55] With the power fluctuating it is hard to see on floors that don't have natural light. Which was why Capell was on this floor, with some bundles of wood he had gathered from the forest, to try and make a burning torch that could at least last him a few floors. He had some spare wood as well, because unlike his own world there were a lot of people who could not produce light here, and they might need them.
[Even later, back on the staircases] At first he thinks its just reflections from the torch, the rippling. But he soon realises that it only happens when he is near the staircase, and it is more like last time. Like the void that appeared. It's a terrifying thought because last time had been awful, and Capell didn't want anything like that to happen again.
But he's been here a few months now, long enough to have heard stories. That the terrifying things that he wished wouldn't happen again, happened with alarming frequency.

Staircases
At some point, Darres had accidentally stumbled upon another. It was a face he's seen around the tower before, but never met personally. It was apparent how unhinged the other was becoming.
"Hey! Are you okay?"

"Have you seen anything strange?"
no subject
Strange was becoming a normal thing here, as much as Darres hated to admit it.

But he was the kind of knight that was good at keeping his cool in dire situations.

He doubts it though, there's always monsters.

Do you need help with anything?"

"I'm alright, I'm just checking what other damage this has done."
no subject
"I'll accompany you. It's safer in numbers."

With that said, Darres took the lead.

"How long have you been here?"

Head read many science books, and many mentioned different space theories and hypothesis. For someone with no academic background past being a guard and picking up politics, it was a lot to absorb.

He knew which option he preferred.
Just after explosions
It took him several floors to get over that panic, and also several instances of nearly getting electrocuted by damaged staircase areas. He was using the tip of his keyblade--with the top covered in flames, totally a good idea--as his own version of a torch.
He was keeping it away from people, though, like when he encountered Capell.
"Hey, do you know what's going on?"

He looks around, moving his keyblade-torch with him, to look for any debris that might be lying around that he can use as a test. Half a minute of searching produces a sizable chunk of wall, which he tosses down the staircase at a bit of exposed Tower column.
A loud crackle, then a shower of sparks and smoke follows. Yeah, probably not a good idea.
"...At least we're not stuck in our rooms this time."
