The whole Tower went a brilliant, blinding white. Then it went black, and there was nothing. Surely this is it--something's gone wrong, something's failed, it didn't work, everyone is dead, or maybe worse--

And then light filters back in--it lights only the various residents of the Tower. No matter where in the Tower they were before this happened, they are all together again now. It appears that they are in a void, but after a few moments, as if their eyes are adjusting to it, more things become visible: the machine that may be their salvation is here. Ruana, with a visible pulse of energy encircling her, is here, but appears colorless and frozen. Aria is here.

Zo is here. And he speaks. "I can't hold her forever. We have to act now. I want to save you all, so I'll do my best. Just tell me, okay?

[The thing arrives on the twenty-third floor where no one is around to see it. But even if there was anyone except the retrieval units there, they would hardly have a chance to spot a single shadow, as the Tower pushes around and caresses the thing, hiding it away. The Tower ripples, then, and delivers the thing up and up, skipping floor after floor.

Floor one-hundred and one goes dark, and the glamour fails entirely. There's a thing lurking about in the darkness, approaching the way to the hidden floor. It can't be seen in this gloom, but it can be heard taking heavy, laden footsteps.]

Aria and Zo tumble out of the elevator more than they step out of it. They look worse for wear; Zo's covered in minor scrapes and bruises, and Aria'a left arm hangs at her side uselessly, bloody and mangled. As soon as they're on solid ground, Zo turns and forces the elevator doors shut without touching them, leaving the broken car lodged in place behind it, and Aria slides to the floor, gasping for breath. They're both on high alert even for all their exhaustion.

Summary: The exhaustion effects are worse on certain floors, so time to get our investigating on.

It wasn't a bad plan. 'Look for something that doesn't belong and see if it's on the other bad floors, and if it's there, we'll figure it out'. It was simple.

That, of course, meant things couldn't possibly go easily, Feferi thought as she made her way down the stairs. Still, she remained optimistic as she approached the entrance to floor 56.

"All right. Let's do this."

She tightened the grip on her trident. The monsters might have been gone, but who knew what else might be lurking? Better to be ready for anything.

Summary: It's the night before the infiltration. People are plotting, discussing, and Xion has brought a Dream Eater so those who want to try to get a good night's sleep have a marginally higher chance of doing so. So in short it's a Tower-flavored sleepover. Bring your own pillows.
Warnings: Nothing in the top level. Will try to edit if anything changes but if something comes up in one of your threads make sure to add a warning in the subject line

[Standard mingle post procedure. Make your top levels. Tag around. Have fun. Or not, this is Animus after all.

Notes will have been passed out and quiet discussion gone around by word of mouth, just saying that several people were spending the night in the hidden floor. Anybody who spoke to Xion would have been told that she's trying to figure out a way everybody can get a good night's sleep. You'll need to supply your own blankets and pillows but... hey, at least if you have trouble sleeping, you'll have company?

Note that any characters who sleep on the Hidden Floor, if they normally suffer from nightmares will likely have notably lessened or absent nightmares (up to your discretion) owing to the Dream Eater that Xion has brought with.]

Sir Lancelot's final memories of the Tower as he knew it last are all Darkness and Fire. But then, many of his own memories of Life and the War both carry a similar distorted taint. He recalls a Madness not his own, and a merciful Death. He recalls a brief respite-- a few lost days in his Master's company before Death took him once again. Suddenly, in that moment, as one struck by an arrow from afar. Or by some poison.

On his second rising, even the air of the place seemed changed, his own senses seeming to have lost their compass for a the space of a breath. Only that little time needed pass before he missed his Master-- and indeed, their bond is broken.

Berserker has wandered since as Mist and Shadow, and sometimes as Himself unseen. Content, for the time being, to watch as events play out before him. Without Kariya Matou, he feels less substantial, and less the more human Self that he had shared with his Master in this Place. Strange and Fae, he goes where his Will takes him.

The Graveyard - Here, he lingers by his Master's grave. He has avoided this Place, as it has nothing to show him that he does not already know to be true. Still, the sight of Kariya's grave marker is a painful one. A reminder that in the end, he failed his Master-- in every way a Servant can.

The Meadow - This was his Master's favorite among the Tower floors, and indeed it was here they met again after having been taken from the War. Here he is sometimes unseen, but today he stands beneath the false Sun, his back to the entrance, unguarded.

The Cathedral - Once a Holy Knight with a Blessed Weapon, Sir Lancelot does not enter the Sanctuary, but wavers just within the threshold-- as if in debate with himself over whether to enter or no.

Room 1-10 & Environs - Those he shares rooms with may find him sat on the edge of his bed or checking the contents of his Trunk. He may also be encountered in the dormitory hallways nearby.

Setting: Room 2-16, the hallways, Room 2-04, and anywhere on the Dorm Levels/Safe floors of the Tower.
Format: Starting in prose, pick your poison after that!
Summary: Log to cover several things including the 'Tower of Jenova' event, dating from the 14th to the 23rd. (A few backdated prompts will likely be added later and, depending on the Mod Event which lasts from the 23rd to the 27th, prompts for it may be added as well.) After denying for a few days anything is wrong, Diarmuid gives in and goes looking for Waver in hopes that the magus can help cure whatever is making him feel so sick. Cue camp out/sleepover in room 2-04 with possible feverish wanderings from time to time. My apologies in advance to the other occupants of 2-04...
Warnings: Diarmuid's cap for the event is LI2, which means he will be very sick and sporting a rash after a while. While he will have mood dips and periods of negativity throughout the event, he won't be having any of the other, more severe symptoms associated with the higher levels and won't be dying. The negative emotions that are mentioned in the prompts will be less prominent during the early part of the event and get stronger as the event goes on. Specific Warnings for negative emotions, mentions of death/death wishes, things related to the flu/respiratory infections/fever, and potential mild violence and mild mentions of blood. If Diarmuid runs into any of those with higher infection levels, their threads will be marked with that character's level of infection (LI) should the thread progress to anything besides them talking. Threads with characters that have higher infection levels should be assumed to have warnings similar to those in the open mingle including mentions of body modification, violence, blood, and injury.
Note: I would like to request that if your character knows or suspects that Sephiroth is behind the illness going around, that they not say anything about that to Diarmuid at this time. I am an evil mun and am making him wait until after the event at least to find out--if he even does then. But he was just so sure Sephiroth was up to something... Thanks guys!
