The highblood rarely ate suspicious candies. Hell, he never even had much of a taste for normal candies, and it certainly wasn't going to start today. It just so happened that the candy got mixed in with the usual foods that he was already familiar with (that oatmeal was surprisingly addicting after having it a couple of times). He regarded the chunk of chocolate that he had already bitten into with curiosity, but nothing more, and tossed it behind his back to return to his normal meal.

Later the night, he'd experience something...odd. He caught the sight of limping creature, but only its long scaly tail and hind legs as it slipped back into the shadows. He followed it into a clearing somewhere on the dorm floor, and it stopped to rest, where he also stopped and watched it from afar.

You'll end up catching him just sitting a little ways off, staring longingly at the pitiful creature curling up around itself. It's a hideous four-legged lizard thing with spikes trailing down its back and all the way to the tip of its tail.

[The Handmaid had thrown her candies away as soon as she'd found them. She didn't trust anything the Tower gave them, and even the usual cafeteria fare was treated with scrutiny. But she'd been eating breakfast and apparently, her breakfast had one of those strange chocolates ground into it.

Ever since, she'd been restless, pacing the Tower and eyeing each passerby almost hungrily. She knows something's wrong, but she can't pinpoint what, and she feels a strange sort of apathy towards whatever is going on.

So she wanders to the forest, weaving through the trees until she spots a familiar, hulking figure. When she pauses to watch him, she feels an odd shiver run down her spine that encourages her to approach.]

What are you doing?

Shhhh, motherfucker, you'll fucking scare it off.

[Absentmindedly waves a hand at her, not even turning to face her. He's just so...enraptured by this creature. But if the unwanted guest gets all up in his biz, he'll have to tend to them first...]

[She frowns, not sure why that reaction upsets her so much. It's the one she always gets, of course. So she approaches, looking a little nonplussed.]

That?

[He furrows his brows, a sudden wave of pity just washing over his features as he gazed at its injured leg. Oh god, this is just the weirdest expression on his face ever...]

Motherfucking that, yeah. Bet some nasty shit went down between it and another motherfucker, and got the shittiest short end of the motherfucking stick.

[And you know what's weirder? The fact that she's irritated he's not directing that look at her, instead. She sits beside him, letting her arm brush against his and staying silent.]

[And just like that, his trance his broken, but on his face is now an irritated scowl. He snarls a little, shrugging his shoulder away so their skin doesn't touch anymore. Who the fuck does this bitch think she is???]

Looking for another motherfucking fight, sister? [He hisses, trying not to yell to loud. The monster below was stirring gently in its slumber, having nodded off just minutes ago.]

[She smirks, tilting her head at him. The odd thing about the expression is that it isn't antagonistic at all--in fact, it's inviting.]

No. No fighting.

[grandhighblood]

[O.........K.............

His expression hasn't experienced this much range in such a short period of time in a long time. This isn't a bad thing, but what the fuck, he's pretty sure the last time they met, she hated his guts in quite the platonic way.

Then a slow grin........]

Well, now isn't that motherfucking something? [Suddenly, a claw is hooked right below her chin, lifting it up slightly.] What does the Summoner's rustblooded pale-bitch want with the little ol' Grand Highblood?

[The odd thing is, nothing's really changed. She doesn't actually care about him, she just... Wants him in a horrible way she can't quite articulate. Her smirk widens when he lifts her chin and she leans into his touch, trailing a finger down his arm absently. She's been manipulating people all of her life, and she doubts the Highblood will be very difficult to influence.]

Isn't it more fun if you guess?

[The tip of his claw hadn't been cutting into her skin before, but the tip shifts a little so the point is now dangerously poking into the soft skin. She has very, very soft skin...it would be so easy to just stab his finger into her throat.

His eyes dart over to the finger trailing down his arm, and the corner of his mouth quirks a little more.]

And I ain't against a little motherfucking fun. Let a motherfucker get his guess on and say, hey, bitch all motherfucking changed her mind about a few things. [Yeah purposely being kind of vague but whatever! He doesn't reciprocate the wanting as much as she probably does, but he's always down for some fun. If it ended in violence, the better.]

[Too easy. If she notices the claw digging into her skin she doesn't let it show. In fact, she moves closer, leaning up to loop both arms around his neck loosely.]

Maybe. Maybe I need more convincing.

[Hrmm, well, he's all for fun and all but he can be suspicious too! Once those arms wrap around him, she now has all five claws instead of just that one wrapped around her neck. His thumb is a little too enthusiastic though and scrapes against the side, a dark rusty drop of blood running over his finger and down his arm.]

Maybe she's all motherfucking getting in over her curly-horn-q'd head, is what I all think, motherfucker.

[All feelings of his earlier pity for the monster are nearly gone, though the beast shifting on to its other side catches his glance for a second and his grin falters just a little.]

[Feferi shows up silent as a shadow. For a short while she watches the larger troll until she's sure that he might notice her- and then she steps forward, a little.

She's never met an adult troll, but she doesn't seem afraid.]

Hello...

[So. Walk by. See the Highblood. Stop. Watch him... watching the monster. Proceed to get incredibly confused!!!]

[He can't see the guy's face from where he is or else he'd be even more confused, but still... what is he doing? Is he gonna eat it or something? But then why would he just be staring at it...... WOW ALRIGHTY THEN let him just wander over there and... grab one of the Highblood's horns, yanking on it a little]

What are you, waiting for.

[He...sort of notices her, but his focus on the monster is too intense right now! Sorry! Holding up a hand, he hushes her...though it's unnecessary seeing as he's making more noise that she is.]

Shhhhh, hashh-shh-shh! Don't be all motherfucking scaring it the fuck away, motherfucking wriggler. It's getting its shut-eye on...

[Yeah, so, just grabbing his horn from out of nowhere while he's enraptured by this beautiful scaly beast is NOT COOL MANNNN. He snarls loudly in surprise, but suddenly brings it down to a hiss when he notices the monster perk its head up, alarmed.

He glares daggers at the Summoner, and reaches up to wrap his hand around the rebel's wrist, squeezing hard, and pries him off.]

The fuck? You can't all expect me to motherfucking just jump on in there. Shit's just unheard of, motherfucker.

[uprisings]

[Glares back, right up until he gets the end of that particular thing there. And then he's... just... MORE CONFUSED, glancing between the monster and the Highblood. Truly baffled...]

What...

[grandhighblood]

[He releases the Summoner roughly, then with the arm still extended, he does a little Shoo-Shoo gesture at him.]

What, what? Can't be motherfucking bothered to deal with your stupid ass right now. [He's. A little... uncomfortable with having the Summoner around when he's experiencing pitiful feelings towards a creature.......??? It's confusing OK!]

[NOPE. STAYING RIGHT HERE, just kinda staring at that little shoo-ing gesture there. omg Highblood are you serious, please stop]

What are you, talking about. 'Jump in there'? You already wounded it, so why aren't you just, killing it...? [?????????]

FUCK OFF, MOTHERFUCKER-- [But then he nearly d'ohs himself because the monster startles awake and scampers off, limping, and without even a second thought the highblood gives chase...though he mumbles curses and stuff under his breath about the Summoner, naturally.]

[He makes sure to follow even further behind the monster than before, being surprisingly silent and cautious. Man, this sure is...weird...even for him. He's pretty disgusted with himself. But a motherfucker's always gotta do what he thinks is right, and he doesn't doubt his own mind, which is usually a mistake, but hey, he wouldn't be who he is if he did!

Making sure the Summoner isn't behind him, he quietly stalks the creature. It finally sneaked into one of those network terminal rooms, and he gazed at the door. He...wants to go in...and after much deliberation, he approaches the door.]

[She frowns when he glances back at the monster, feeling a sudden odd rush of jealousy. She moves closer, digging her claws into his shoulder blades as she presses her lips against his.]

[uprisings]

[NOPE. GOTTA DEAL WITH A FLYING PUNCH TO THE FACE FIRST]

[Picking the monster's mind for where it was headed sure was useful as hell... Look, bro, this is his first caliginous thing. You can't just go and pull crazy bullshit like this on him out of nowhere, okay???]

[Goddammit you're getting kind of ANNOYING!!! Which is usually fine, because hey, if his spade-partner wants to have a go at him, then fine! But fuck, why now?

After he staggers back from the sudden blow, he turns to slam the door shut, effectively trapping the creature inside. It's for its own safety, honest! Then he lowers his head in a threateningly defensive gesture, horns pointed at the Summoner, the sclera of eyes turning orange, indicating his rage slowly building up.]

Hey, motherfucker...didn't I all just tell you to up and fuck off?
