Characters: Luca, open
Setting: Starting in 2-05, moving around
Format: Will match your comments
Summary: Luca arrives, is confused.
Warnings: None
2-05 (closed)
She'd been paralyzed before, so she knew better than to panic. Just wait it out and it'll go away. Just wait it out... Sure enough, less than a minute later she was able to move. After letting out a sigh of relief, Luca opened her eyes, sat up, and realized she had no idea where she was. What was she wearing?
"...Master Cid? Rydia?"
Wandering the halls (open; various floors and stairways)
She'd found that letter and couldn't quite believe it. Destroyed? That was exactly what she'd been trying to prevent! There was no way. Absolutely none. There had to be some other explanation.
If she was here, the others might be, too. Master Cid, Rydia, Calca and Brina, and... well, everyone else.
So she left her room to look for answers, after changing back into her usual clothes, pulling her shirt collar up to cover that weird thing around her neck, and grabbing up her shield and axe. If she ran into somebody else, she would wave them down and call out, "Hey! You got a minute?"
Floor Seventeen (open)
Luca stood at the bottom of the staircase, looking around at the bloody handprints everywhere, and covering her ears to block out that horrible screaming.
"Seriously? What the heck is this supposed to be?"

re-wanderingpatrolling the hallways, now that he's getting almost settled in this odd, new tower. Can't say he's used to it, just yet, but at least he's almost settled.Luca's call catches the other new guy's attention, though, and he turns to her with a helpful smile.]
Yes, of course! What do you need, friend?
no subject
You know what this place is? I found this letter saying someone saved me from the world being destroyed, but that's impossible.
no subject
If I were you, I wouldn't have given them the time of day!
[He crosses his arms as if in thought, shifting his stance a bit.]
I suppose I should give you fair warning, as my fellow knight had; monsters seem to lurk in this place, and the people who own and run this tower don't seem the friendly, outgoing, or caring kind at all.
If you run into trouble, it would be best to go to others in the tower like ourselves, rather than those who seem to run it.
[And that's the clean explanation, of course.]
no subject
Good to know. I've dealt with monsters before, and there's no way I'd trust someone who dragged me here and tried to make me think... [ Hmph. ] Thanks for the heads-up.
How long have you been here? And let me guess, we're trapped, right?
no subject
But yes; it seems to be that way.
... My friend said that even death is not an escape, here. They just revive you.
[Well, this conversation was getting depressing fast.]
no subject
We'll have to find some way out of here anyway. I don't know about you, but if I don't get home, there's a good chance the world really could be destroyed. Maybe it'll be tough, but we can't let that stop us.
I'm Luca. What's your name?
no subject
[The knight gives her a smile, and a polite little bow of his head.]
I wouldn't worry about finding a way out, I'm sure we will find one soon.
Others have been here a while, so surely they've been thinking on a solution, yeah?
no subject
You've gotta be right. We'll be outta here in no time! [ She nods back. There's no use moping about; they need to actually work on a solution. ] What do you say we find someone who's been here a while and ask them how far they've gotten on figuring out a way home?
no subject
There's many people here, after all; someone's got to have an idea.
[He pauses then, considering this for a second -]
Of course, if we plan on wandering about the tower and asking everyone, it would probably be best if we stayed together. It's embarrassing to admit, but neither my sword nor my shield are in good enough condition for a one on one battle with the monsters, here.
And I would repair them, but I'm afraid my skills are in fighting with the sword, not fixing it...
no subject
[ She holds out her shield. ] You can use my shield for now if anything pops up. I'll be able to hold this axe better if I use both hands, anyway. I can't do anything about your sword, but maybe someone else around here'll be able to do something about it.
no subject
[Pipit accepts it, a little surprised; but it is a lot better than his battered old wooden shield. That thing wouldn't even last in a sparring match, anymore.]
There's probably someone who could make good use of the workshop here, yes.
But either way; where shall we start, Luca?
no subject
First things first -- we should figure out if we're at the top of the tower, or the bottom, or somewhere in the middle. Then I guess we work our way up or down.
no subject
[He hooks her shield to his back like his sheath, thinking on it.]
no subject
[ She leads! ]
Floor Seventeen
"There's a few floors like that around here. I'm pretty sure their intended purpose is just to freak us out."
no subject
"So freaking us out is their idea of 'being happy here'? Not surprising from what I've heard so far."
no subject
"Some floors aren't as bad though, so it's not all bad."
no subject
She sighed. "I saw a library, and I heard there's some kind of workshop here?" She turned to start back up the stairs.
no subject
"Yeah, it's equipped with all sorts of tools and stuff." He carefully followed her up the stairs as he spoke. "There's an art gallery and a media room too, and a special restaurant."

She turned to watch for Ven coming up the stairs. "How long have you been here, anyway?"
no subject
Ven had a small look of disgust on his face for a minute as he followed her up the stairs. At the question however, he stopped. "Uuuh....." He had to think for a moment. He never was really good with time anymore. "At least six months I think?"
no subject
"Six whole months?" She let out a low whistle. That long, and still stuck here... "And just earlier I was thinking I'd find a way home in a week at most. Y'think I was a little too optimistic?"
no subject
[Yep, he's following right behind her, totally okay with her taking the lead.
She probably has just as much of a clue as he does about this tower, anyway.]

"You don't have to worry about me giving up hope. Just make sure you don't, either." She managed to grin at him. "I'm Luca, by the way. You?"
/I am totally not late okay

He liked helping new people, so they knew that there were good and nice people here and everyone wasn't like the bad people. This place could be terrible and scary but if you had friends it wasn't too bad!
no subject
"Well, I've heard the world was destroyed, but I know that can't be true... Do you know anything about the people who brought us here?"
no subject
He paused before continuing, "There's four of them miss, well I've seen four of them and one of them is a kid. There's also a little girl I think but I only ever heard her. All the people with red collars or no colour at all in their collars work for them so be careful miss because they do really bad things as well!"

And he returned the grin in kind. "My name's Ventus, but everyone calls me Ven. Nice to meet you, Luca."
