Summary:  Reno has discovered the Media Floor/Room!

Plopped down in a bean bag chair on his stomach lay a turk, headphones clamped down hard on his head. Reno's eyes were closed and fingers tapping to the rhythm of the music. Who knew that they had the best of Midgar's street bands here? This was a welcome surprise. All too soon, the music ended, and Reno cracked open an eye and changed the set.

It may not be booze and partners, but after several weeks in this place, he would take what he could get. It was better than the selections from Loveless. Those could get a little droning for him. Sighing, he rolled over and draped his arm over his eyes, hair curling around his neck. It was easy pretending he was just kicking it back at home this way, and way easier ignoring the weird faces that occasionally flickers on the static filled televisions.

[Hope you're not easily surprised, Reno, because when you open your eyes next, you'll be face-to-face with a familiar-looking psycho alien boy. Not that the fact he was familiar was any more comforting. Gamzee was just leaning over the bean bag from behind, his face inches away from Reno's, waiting for him to snap out of the wicked zone he apparently was in. It was rude to interrupt a brother when he was getting his chill all on this fierce, you know?]

[One... two... three...

Reno felt a presence above him, and, not knowing who or what, or if it was one of those weird static faces, he opens his eyes, and...]


AAGGGGGHHHHH

[That's right. Reno just screamed. Like a girl.]

GAMZEE! [He's breathing heavy, the scare quickly being replaced by annoyance.]

The hell are you doing?!

[knifehands]

[ she had been sitting in the room for a while now, just sitting quietly behind reno to watch whatever was on the television - mostly interested in the disturbing faces that would flicker from the static.

finally, she spoke ]

It's weird how they do that.

[midgarhorizon]

[Reno hadn't realized anyone else was there, so he jumped a little when she spoke. Sitting up, he pulled the headphones off his ears and gave her a glance.]

Sorry, what? Didn't hear you.

[The music he had been listening to was barely audible coming from the headphones- it sounded like rock.]

[knifehands]

[ his voice, it sounded exactly like axel's but obviously this man wasn't him

which only meant one thing. unless, of course - there was a herd of people running around with a voice like axel's ]

Is your name Reno?

[midgarhorizon]

Yeah.

[He wrinkles his forehead in thought- she seemed familiar.

Oh yeah, the weird girl that made the vomit video.]

You're that girl from the video. The bright, shiny, intelligent one.

[Hey, it wasn't him that called her stupid, he merely agreed with her.]

[knifehands]

[ she corrected him, walking towards the tv ]

Who are the people that appear in the static?

[midgarhorizon]

Damned if I know. I don't want to find out much, either.

[Reno raised an eyebrow at her. If she found herself sucked into the TV he wasn't going to go after her.]

[knifehands]

[ she stared at the screen for a bit long, then turned her glance at reno ]

There may be a way out of this place.

[midgarhorizon]

[Was she suggesting it was through the TVs? A smirk flashed.]

Yeah? What are you gonna try?

[knifehands]

[ no, reno. not the tv ]

Have you ever been in the room that looks like a forest?

[midgarhorizon]

No. I try to stay away from the freaky stuff.

[knifehands]

It's possibly the most peaceful room in this place.

[ she continues to explain ]

In the meadow room, there's a deep forest that has vicious animals. If you get too close to them or go too deep into the forest - you'll lose all of your superhuman abilities.

[ a beat ] It seems as if they're hiding something.

[midgarhorizon]

[He's silent, staring at her, shifting on his bean bag seat so he's more upright.]

...

[It seemed she was determined to creep him out. He could play at that game.]

Yeah? Did you know there's a floor that has a really deep, dark, pit? Maybe they're hiding something down there.

LOL BLANKET :( thinking of sleep already

[ she just gives him a blank stare, realizing what he's trying to do ]

A boy named Yosuke and I were going to take the risk of going into the forest, even if the animals attack us. We're trying to gather as many people as we can to come with us, as well...

[ yes, reno. that's an invitation. ]

[midgarhorizon]

Sounds kind of stupid, to me. If they were hiding something they wouldn't need a forest.

[He sets the headset down by the bean bag and leans forward, elbows on knees.]

There's that floor that nobody can get to. Like it doesn't exist. If anything, they'd hide something there.

[He paused, shaking his head.] Hell, there's a tons of places they could hide things. We don't exactly get to go everywhere.

[knifehands]

What happens if you try to go to the room that nobody can get in?

[midgarhorizon]

Nobody knows.

[knifehands]

I see.

Perhaps I'll look into finding out myself.

[midgarhorizon]

[Reno shrugs.]

Yeah. Good luck. It's Floor Twenty-three. If anyone can make it stop there, it'd be you.

[knifehands]

[ the last part catches her by surprise ]

Oh? Why me?

[midgarhorizon]

[Reno plops his chin into his hand.]

You seem pretty stubborn to me.

[knifehands]

Usually, I suppose.

[midgarhorizon]

[Giving a long stretch, Reno shakes his head.]

You going to go for it?

[knifehands]

I might, but first I will check out the forest with Yosuke.
