Well that cleared up everything--oh wait no it didn't. Jin's confusion was soon explained when he mentioned he should be dead. Perhaps they'd never heard of his hospitalization, and assumed he had died. Then again, that wouldn't explain why he was here. And five months? ...maybe those keys had really messed up the entire time stream and...shit. That type of technological and magical field was definitely not up his alley.
