Summary: Legolas got killed during the Evil Meeting. Gandalf finds him and gets informed of his misadventure.

[ Once per day, Gandalf allowed himself to leave the library and explore a bit the tower. Books were getting old after a while, and no matter how much he enjoyed reading them, walking a bit couldn’t hurt. Today it was the Aquarium. Strange place really, strange fishes, strange everything in fact. But all in all very relaxing. He lurked around for a while when he spotted his old friend, the Elvish Prince.

He smiled and walked to Legolas, having whatsoever no idea about what happened to the poor Elf. Yet. ]

[Legolas let his fingers trail lightly along the surface of the water, watching a few of the fish follow his movements. When he heard the approach of someone else, he turned and smiled to Gandalf.]

I didn't expect to see you on this floor, Gandalf.

[He avoids placing his hand over his chest, only because he's still fighting with himself on how to tell the wizard he'd died.]

Books are invaluable companions, but I couldn't bear staying in the library at all time.

[ He smiles a bit and watches at the fish in the water. ]

Have you explored the tower yet?

I've explored some of it but there's quite a bit left still. I'm rather fond of this floor though, dangerous as it could be.

[He turns to watch Gandalf entirely.]

And you? You've been here longer, there must be quite a bit you've seen so far.

[the_white_rider]

I've explored most of what can be explored by now... Some parts remain accessible to me. In some lurks an Evil even I cannot hope to defeat. And I have felt the Evil growing more and more powerful as of late.

[ He stares at you Legolas. Not just because he'd like you to explore what he couldn't explore... Because he has a bad feeling too. ]

Whatever evil emerges, we'll stand together with those we can call friend, here, and combat it. As we did during the War of the Ring.

[Bad feeling of what though? That's Legolas is hiding something or about evil things...]

[the_white_rider]

[ Both actually. And both are actually more closely related than he thinks. ]

Indeed. During the War of the Ring though, we shared a common world, common beliefs- Here the people of the tower share very little with each other. Countless different worlds, culture and beliefs.

The task will be extraordinarily complicated, but we can do it. We need to work all together and share any relevant information.

I'm sure that the desire to stay alive, to protect anyone they care for, or have come to care for, will be enough incentive for a uniting.

[Ignoring Gandalfs suspicions for the moment. And ignoring that he mentioned 'staying alive' during the conversation.]

[ You're speaking to Gandalf, Legolas. Such details don't go unnoticed. ]

The desire to stay alive is strong, but I believe it's not the main worry around here. I have heard that people who die are resurrected within a day, even though I have yet to see it happening...

I do not plan on casting any doubt on the resurrection claims.

[Gandalf will have to verbally pry it out of him.]

Death could cause one to lose confidence though.

[ You've said enough, Legolas. He stares at you gravely. ]

[Legolas frowns, and his hands finally moves to touch the spot on his chest that Ganondorf had stabbed him.]

Nothing can be hidden from you, can it, Gandalf?

[the_white_rider]

[ He sighs and pauses for a couple seconds. Legolas was one of the most skilled and noble elves he knew. Whoever killed him had to be powerful and on the evil side. ]

Please, tell me what happened.

A misunderstanding. Unfortunately, I remind a man of someone his seems to hate and when I got too close to a meeting he was having, we had a confrontation.

I was, quite obviously, not the victor.

[He knows he's healed completely, not even a scar, but he could almost feel the experience again. Almost.]

How are you feeling? Physically you are fine, but death is no light experience.

[ Mental is the problem. And he needs to know what this meeting was about but that'll come latter. ]

I'm as well as can be expected, not to worry, Gandalf.

[He was going to cover the meeting eventually. When he could think of a way to cover up the fact that he died. Woops, that plan got blown out of the sky.]

Your earlier word lead to think otherwise. You mentioned desire to stay alive and especially loss of confidence.

[ Nothing escapes Gandalf's grasp. ]

Not my own confidence, that does not suffer. I underestimated my opponent and I will not make that mistake again. I do wish to stay alive, though.

[the_white_rider]

Indeed, you learn from your mistakes, but I advises you to be careful and to avoid unnecessary battles whenever possible... Some evil are too string even for us.

[ And now onto the point... ]

And about this meeting-

[keeps_count]

Not to worry. I won't make the mistake of seeking battles I cannot win on my own.

[A nod.]

The feeling alone was enough to know. Elves are sensitive to the feeling of an evil presence, and there was nothing but evil surrounding that place, in my last moments.

[the_white_rider]

This is worrying... Nothing but Evil you say?

[ That can't be good. ]

When and where did this happen?

[keeps_count]

[Legolas nods.] Nothing but.

The night before last, they all met on the thirteenth floor, in the cathedral.

[the_white_rider]

Cathedral, 13th Floor? I've gotten near to this floor on that day, if only I had know...

[ But then this means... Those he saw passing by the 12th and 14th Floor may potentially have been at the reunion. ]

[Legolas nods, just slightly.]

I'm glad that my death could have some use.

And I hope this was the last one. I'm going to investigate the issue immediately, we shall meet soon again.
