Moros retreated with little harm, and Jin replaced the Evoker in its holster. He was no stranger to dead and burnt bodies, and he worked over nonchalantly to investigate.

He kneeled down to check, and a cursory glance confirmed she was dead. Good.

Unfortunately his burning habit wasn't quite so beneficial for scavenging purposes-- something he realized a bit too late. But nevertheless, Jin grabbed the now singed backpack to see if there was anything still intact or usable. He doubted it, sadly, but it never hurt to try.
