"Death, ah." He smiled to himself. It was almost enough to make him laugh. He was dead, had just died. Failed and died. But here he was, wasn't he? Still with his mind and his equipment and his samples, somehow. "Not even death can keep me from my work. But it does present some complications." The smile vanished in a frown. "What forms does it take, this death, and how can it be avoided? Who is in charge?"
