[open]

Characters: Germany and you.
Setting: The library.
Format: Action.
Summary: In which Germany discovers the library's trashy romance novels.
Warnings: Nothing so far.

[although he's been frequenting the library often since he found himself trapped in the tower, germany has struggled to find books providing useful information about the state of his world or the tower itself. it's odd. and definitely suspicious to him.

he's sitting at a table behind a couple of neat piles of books: ones he has read and other that he's yet to look at. although the tower's library may be lacking in critical information, it had managed to distract him momentarily with a few trashy love novels he had found wedged in the corner of a shelf.

with one elbow on the desk and another holding the paperback open, he occasionally flicks the page over.]

[Wandering through the library herself, she's found her own little section of trashy romance novels and while she has a good handful of them in her arms, she doesn't take notice to him right off the bat.

Glancing over she sees him and flinches, nearly dropping the books but hurries quick to shuffle them behind her back.]
G-Germany?

[Hi Germany! Hang out with any trolls yet?]

[This specific troll enjoys trashy rainbow drinker novels, and is currently searching for one to read when she happens upon Germany surrounded by his stacks of book]

Excuse me, may I bother you for a moment? Are you aware if there is a section for supernatural novels?

[wow germany.

this guy looks like he likes to read. perhaps he can help her!

you now have a young girl with butterfly wings curiously hovering over your shoulder]
Good afternoon. Is it any good?

[Cornet, to be honest, was looking for sheet music. She didn't know how to read it, but hey, she had...a lot of free time...so she might as well try to learn, right?!

She was scurrying through the library, unaware of any sort of arcane 'Dewey Decimal System' and unwilling to ask for help out of stubbornness when someone's book title caught her eye.]

Oh, hey, I've read that one..!

[Oh dear, someone left the door open to Shoutarou's room, and one of his little robots got out.]

[The little froggie-bot is jumping from table to table until it lands on Germany's table, and speaks up in the voice of a young Japanese woman.]

Hello~!

Oh! Ah..I ...was just returning some books. [Moves her books all discreetly behind her, frowning.]

Ah- w-well it's nice to see you again at least.

[Romano's not one for books, to be honest, but there's really not much else to pass his time. And like so many others, he's drawn to the romance novel section.

Where he sees that bastard.

Of all people!

He doesn't say anything yet, merely lurks behind that bookshelf and glares at the back of Germany's head.]

[ To get her mind off all the things, Spain pulls out a couple of her favourite literature classics, Don Quixote first on her list, from the library, and goes to find someplace to sit.

As she walks through, she felt his presence, a strange but familiar feeling. Germanic, she concludes, but it doesn't seem to be Germany herself...

Nonetheless, she is intrigued, and she casually strolls over to peek over his shoulder to see what he's reading. ]

[Likewise there, Germany. She saw that front cover.]

It's very nice to see you, too. I mean, over the network is pleasant but- it's just nice to see you face to face especially given all the lies said to us by our captors. I hope you've been well during your stay here?

[One by one she tosses the books on to the table behind her, pushing them from the line of sight.]

[Tilting her head from side to side, she thought about that question before she gave a small huff.] Just Gilbert, per usual. You know him, he always has to pick a fight.

[Just thinking about it makes her upset again and though she's no where near the point of tears like when she was after her and Prussia spoke, there's a sense of heart break in her tone.]
These are getting just a bit annoying as well. [Points to the collar around her neck.]

[identity profile] edes-virag.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, he is. At least he was a few days ago. I'm rather sure he's still here causing chaos. [Huffs just a bit before she shakes her head and waves a hand.] It's alright. I'd hate for you to be in the middle of something like that... It's just how Gilbert is, of course.

[Nods and steps closer to him.] May I look at your collar? It's easier to see it on someone else rather than try to look at my own in a mirror.

Oh. That is a shame. I'm sorry to bother you, I'm Mercedes.

I was wondering if you could help me find something...

[ She tries to take a book from him, looking at the cover as her eyes widen. ]

Are those... romance novels?

[He just wanted a gardening book; if he couldn't actually garden, he could at least read about it and look at the pictures. . . he hated being here and not being able to do the thing that he enjoyed. Germany will hear soft scolding in Dutch from between a few shelves. . .]

Ach, Poffertje. You can't chew on the cover . . .
