(no subject)

Characters: Sephiroth, Zack Fair, Cloud Strife, Doc Brown
Setting: Making their way to the fifteenth floor, followed by Doc's workshop
Format: Either or
Summary: The Boys of SOLDIER are getting their weapons fixed. Huzzah.
Warnings: None that I know of.

He'd scheduled to meet the other two early; Sephiroth wanted this over and done. And pray Shiva this metalsmith was capable, for if he didn't have the Masamune back in his hand and functional quite soon, Sephiroth feared he actually might go insane.

Pieces wrapped in a bedsheet, reverently, the tall General waited in the hallway by the elevator for the others, leaning nonchalantly against the wall, arms and ankles comfortably crossed. He was patient, to a point, but if he didn't see them heading this way soon, well...annoyed wouldn't even begin to cover it.

There were moments that he thought he had gone insane. Not only had he been tolerating Sephiroth's presence without the usual amount of anger, but he had also set things up to get his sword fixed. He still had freshly healed slices from that sword - the tenderest one being the trust through his gut. He did not like the idea of Sephiroth being fully armed, but he also knew that the sword was just as much as a security blanket as Cait Sith was to Reeve. Without the Masamune, there was a good chance that Sephiroth will break down much sooner.

Cloud sighed to himself, stepping around the corner and seeing Sephiroth standing and waiting. If he was paranoid, he would think that Sephiroth had been standing there for hours, waiting for Zack and him to appear. Of course, it could have been only a few minutes, but the General was certainly giving off a vibe that he had been waiting for hours and was getting impatient.

His hand clutching the blueprints tighter, Cloud came within two feet of him and stopped.

"No sign of Zack?" This was going to be awkward.

Zack knew just how impatient Sephiroth could be, and he knew better than to test it for long, but with everything else that was going on, he did have something to take care of before making it to the elevator, skidding around the corner of the hallway so fast he nearly banged into the opposite wall before regaining his footing and making his way to his friends.

"Sorry, sorry. Got held up."

That's all he says, too busy catching his breath and hitting the down button on the elevator panel; it'll be faster to go down from Floor 21 than up from Floor 1. Still, there is something that bears mentioning and once he can actually talk again, he looks to both his CO and his old friend at the same time.

"Once we're done here, there's something we have to talk about. Something's attacking people in the Tower."

"During the daylight hours"

Cloud had ventured out from his room at night. There were creatures that he had never seen before out there, some of them common and not as much as a threat as some of them he had heard while exploring. He always traveled armed, but now he needed to remember to carry his materia as well.

"I don't like the sound of it."

Zack nods at Cloud's comment, but before anything can be said, the elevator arrives and they enter. Zack immediately heads for the back wall, leaning against it and trying his hardest not to fidget and start pacing as his nerves scream at him to move, burn off the excess energy, or just plain get away from here.

"Some kind of giant spider, near as I could tell. Doesn't seem like many people got a good look at it before they had to run away, or they just...didn't make it."

He sighs at that, but shakes it off a second later and fiddles with the materia at his wrist.

"I can't confirm, though. I looked around, but couldn't find any trace of it. It's like it just vanished into thin air or something."

"A giant spider..."

Cloud looked down at the blueprints in his hand, chewing on the inside of his cheek. That did not sound good for the people around them. While there were perhaps some that had abilities to keep them safe, a lot of the people he saw didn't seem to have any special abilities. He could be wrong, but he didn't like the idea of a giant spider out there.

If allowed, he would be in the back, watching Sephiroth, but Zack was there, and he liked the idea of Zack being there. It calmed him a little to know that things may not be the best, but at least right now Sephiroth wasn't trying to kill them. So he found a corner to wedge himself against, looking from Zack to Sephiroth to the elevator doors.

"We could probably handle a giant spider, but we may want to see about getting the weapons sorted first."
