1st strike • Lisa's arrival

Characters: Lisa, open
Setting: Starts off in 2-05, then floor 38, the meadow on floor 25, and the cafeteria. Feel free to tag her after she leaves her room!
Format: Action to start, but I'll match you.
Summary: Lisa wakes up in a strange tower; suffering from Stupid Protagonist Syndrome, she starts looking for her friends.
Warnings: So far, just Persona 2 spoilers. Will update when needed.

Ng hai!

[Lisa angrily rips the letter to shreds. "Be happy here," her ass! Was this another one of Nyarlathotep's tricks!? What is this place? Where are her friends? The last thing she remembers is saying goodbye to her memories of everyone...

...Now that she thinks about it, what the hell is she wearing?

A few minutes later, after finding a trunk with her things, she changes into her Sevens uniform, equips her gloves, and sets off. It's time to get some answers.]

[The first place she arrives at is not what she expected. Lisa stares in amazement at the view the large windows provide, shoes scuffling against the floor as she runs closer for a better look.]

Aiyah! What the hell!?

[She edges closer to the glass and peers out, down at the fog that swirls far below. Dizzied by the height, she moves away and plops down on one of the sofas.]

Is this place real?

[If she thought the lounge was incredulous, then the meadow is in the realm of impossible.]

Haime!? [She stares at the greenery that's spread out before her, mouth slightly agape. How can there be a meadow in a tower? ...Well, she supposes that after traveling through a spaceship and inadvertently fulfilling a Mayan prophecy, anything can happen.

Stooping down, she runs her fingers over the wildflowers, the soft petals smooth to the touch. Well, she's still ready to unleash a 15 hit combo on someone's ass, but there's nothing wrong with stopping to smell the roses-- er, flowers, right?]

[The one thing she's discovered (besides this place being incredibly creepy) is that the power seems to be out in most places. Her Persona has been extremely anxious since Lisa woke up, which has put Lisa even more on edge.

Standing in what looks to be a cafeteria, she notices some cartons of milk sitting innocuously on the table. She reaches for one, then shakes her head and turns away. She's never really liked milk. But her grumbling stomach isn't going to be patient much longer, so she starts examining the place, searching for someone who could provide her with answers...and food.]

What is there to eat around here!?

[A bowl of oatmeal slides down the table and stops in front of Lisa. From the other end is a familiar, hateful, yet welcoming face belonging to a Lovecraftian Outer God.]

Newcomers are required to eat oatmeal for their first meal.

*Only three days in, and Enoch finds himself more focused on food than the hope of seeing Armaros, or the despair of losing him. Three days on only the bare minimum was enough to do that, as he'd had three months to adjust to being well-fed every day, then suddenly thrust into a forced almost-fast.

He hears someone cry out as he approaches the stairwell, and thinking it might be someone under attack by a monster, he readies his Arch and rushes down the stairs. When he finds the lounge devoid of monsters, he stows it again, closing the strange weapon and attaching it to the back of his jeans.*

I'm sorry, *he tells the lone woman there, doubtless the one he'd heard.* I heard you and thought there might be danger here.

[She's in a defensive stance faster than you can say "Chinyan," fists raised and feet firmly planted on the ground. Her Persona trembles with fear -- there's no way she can take this guy on her own, and Lisa knows it, but she's certainly not going to lower her guard.]

YOU! You did this!

Me? I wonder.

[Nyarlathotep sits himself down casually, narrowing his eyes and smiling. While one of his aspects was defeated by Lisa and her friends, it didn't seem to phase him too much. He was confident that even now, she would be unable to harm him.]

The absolute truth of the matter is that the world was destroyed. The culprit on the other hand is debatable. We have two suspects, but neither are me. It never has been me.

[She looks up at the man talking to her and stares. Wow, he's big! Not as tall as Undie Boss, but definitely more muscular. Lisa stands up and flaps her arms in excitement.]

Aiyah! There's other people here!?

[Not the sharpest tool in the shed, no.]

Hey, hey! Where are we?

[It wasn't him? She could have sworn-- Wait, what is she thinking!? She can't trust anything this guy says!

Lisa glares at him, sitting there like he doesn't have a care in the world.]

What do you mean it wasn't you? The world was just destroyed when Maya...

[She trails off, suddenly looking incredibly sad.]

You've been blessed with the miracle of being allowed to keep your memories, yet you're already squandering it. Realize that it was human desire that achieved ultimate destruction.

[Until the bitter end, this is what Nyarlathotep will claim. All he did was give humans the tools to achieve destruction. It was with their will yet with Nyarlathotep's power that it came true. He had won the bet, finally. ... or so it seemed until the game started anew with Tatsuya clinging to his memories.]

Her namesake, suffocated delusions, believed so deeply in the end. That was her dream and she achieved it. The dream that "nobody has the right to make come true".

*Enoch is taken aback by her energetic reaction at first. It takes him a moment to respond.*

I only arrived two days ago, myself... As far as I can tell, this is a tower that...serves to gather people from many worlds.

*Worlds they claim to be destroyed - Enoch doesn't want to believe it, but the note's simple words and childish optimism paired with ignorance of loss gave it a sense of youthful earnestness that made it hard to brush aside easily. His hope for the best is tempered by a nagging doubt.*

*nestled among those flowers is a familiar golden butterfly. He knows she's there, of course. He's detected the prior hostility from the others, and it's made him...unsure. hesitant, really, wihtout fully knowing why.

But that being said, he's still happy to see her.*

Many worlds?

[Taken aback, Lisa stares at him like he's grown three heads. After a few seconds, she links her fingers together and, this time looking both nervous and hopeful, speaks again.]

Have you met anyone named Tatsuya? Or Jun, Undie Bo--I mean, Eikichi...or Maya?

[Standing outside of Sumaru, no longer overwhelmed by the events that kept dragging them along, Lisa thinks about what he's saying.

Then the anger starts bubbling up. Everything had just been a game with him and Philemon, they didn't care that she'd had to lose the love of her life and her best friends. They didn't care at all that Lisa was forced to give up her most precious memories.

She balls up her hands into fists and shakes.]

Screw you! You're so full of shit!

[When she sees the butterfly, she stops. Part of her is happy to see someone familiar, while the rest of her is still incredibly pissed off at him for what he did to everyone. Though, if he was responsible for what happened in Sumaru, maybe he's had a hand in this place too.]

Philemon?

[Her voice is somewhat calm, although he can probably sense that she's not exactly pleased to see him.]

[Nyarlathotep shrugs. Maybe it should have been clear by now that there was no point in reasoning with her. Funny how Lisa showed more emotion to Nyarlathotep's words and actions, though, than he bothered to give her.]

And you're in denial.

*Enoch wonders if she got a note like he and his roommate did. It stood to reason that if everyone was told their world was destroyed that they all came from different worlds. It wasn't a concept he'd fully gotten used to, but it was one he knew was at work here.*

I've met Tatsuya and Jun, but... *Damn, is he going to have to tell her that her friends were probably dead?* ...where I came from.

[This would require Lisa to put two and two together!

...

Wait, what?]

Haime!? How!?

[How could he have seen them where he was from? That made no sense!]

*What are those strange words she's using? Enoch's world only uses one language. At least he doesn't waste time in answering her question to try and figure it out.*

The last world I was in was...similar. That is, it also seemed to be a collection of people from many worlds.

*The voice echoes throughout the meadow.* Yes, it is I. It is good to see you again, Lisa Silverman.

[Link shakes his head. He had to find out the difficult way that the first meal was... well, it wasn't exactly great.]

The meals here at least get better.

[shrugging, Link at least offers a kind smile]

Everything else requires a bit of... well, an attitude adjustment.

[Lisa doesn't know what to say to that. It all sounds so ridiculous. But she's seen a lot of strange things recently, and so instead of scoffing at him, she sits back down on the sofa.

He didn't mention Maya. Does that mean she's...?

She looks up at the man.] ...Oh! I'm Lisa. What's your name?

Philemon, did you do this?

Huh? [She stops and stares at the guy for a few moments. What is with that outfit?

Realizing that she's being rude, Lisa shakes her head a little.]

Attitude adjustment? Oh, when I find out who did this, they'll get an adjustment!

[She'd love nothing more than to find whoever brought her here and knock their head off!]

[Link would also be willing to partake in that. Mostly by poking and prodding with any number of sharp, magical objects]

I'm new here also, but already it's sort of obvious when you see someone else newer here. The ones who've been here for a while have a certain... look in their eyes.

[Link hasn't met anybody this spunky during his adventure - he has to admit, it's refreshing]

[Ooh, she'd love nothing more than to rip this creep's head off! But Venus is going haywire now, telling her not to get in over her head, so Lisa relents.

What she does do is grab the bowl of oatmeal and chuck it; the bowl sails through the air and shatters against the wall, sending bits of oatmeal and jagged bowl shards everywhere. He might not react, but Lisa does feel a little better.]

[Lisa has enough pep to fuel an army!

Although, she does falter a bit at what he says.] Certain look in their eyes?

[That doesn't sound good at all.]

[here comes explaining. Link is not good at explaining things, especially given he's silent most of the time]

Um... sort of like they've accepted this as normal?

Like, they're not really angry anymore, they're just trying to get on with their lives. Here.

I've only seen a few, but that seems to be the trend. I could be wrong.
