Summary: Maya is new at the tower.
Warnings: If any of the Innocent Sin kids tag, there will be sufficient mind-fuckery. Given that Maya from the end of Eternal Punishment. You have been warned.

[The world was destroyed, then saved, then destroyed again, then saved again, and now destroyed once again. You'd think that it would be easier to cope with these occurrences given how often they seem to happen, but this time Maya didn't think she was waking up. Did the others make it out all right? She could only hope that they did. Tatsuya and Katsuya... Baofu and Ulala... Yukki and her classmates. Aside from Yukki and Ulala, it had been a while since she spoke with any of them, being so preoccupied with her job. If only she had spent more effort to see them every once in a while...]

[The oatmeal tasted bland, but it still had more flavor than anything she could make.]

[The sounds of the musical instruments were plentiful, to say the least. Exploring the tower, Maya came across this room and was a bit tempted to see if she could play anything in this room. Thinking a bit, the only thing she didn't have to put her mouth against and looked rather fun was a gong - picking up the mallet, Maya let a resounding boom echo throughout the room, thinking it was rather fun.]

[Congratulations, the gong echoed enough to call attention from this nerve-frayed, twitchy moron that currently looks more like a monster than a fellow guest. A... diving suit wearing monster at least. Eleanor was coming up the stairs when she heard the gong and startled, finding herself teleporting into the room in a fine purple mist and landing with a heavy, metallic thud from her boots.]

Whoa, you okay there?

Oh, wow!

[Maya did not expect to see that.]

Sorry! I didn't mean to disturb you! I figured this floor was nothing but noise, so... I decided to add to it!

[Maya curiously looks at the... thing. In front of her.]

The name's Maya. What's yours?

Oh. Well, now I feel silly.

[She stands up a bit straighter, no longer in her preferred ready-to-stab-someone's-face-off-crouch, but it's still a little awkward. Toes facing each other, spine somewhat curved and arms hanging limply at her sides. Eleanor laughed a bit, tilting her head to the side to study the girl.]

It's alright, I've been... a little jumpy, is all.

[She shrugged, suddenly looking as if the suit were heavy.]

Pleased to meet you, Maya. I am Eleanor Lamb.

I'd normally offer a business card at this point in time, but... well, I see little point as my business doens't exist anymore, apparently.

[With a name like that, was she taken somewhere from America or Europe? In any case, she no longer looks like a demon, so Maya decided against Contacting her.]

I'd be jumpy in this tower, too, so I don't blame you! And please don't feel silly - I'm the one who bumbled in uninvited.

I'm... new.

[Is it that obvious?]

Oh. Oh, I'm sorry.

[Eleanor reaches up to pop the helmet off with a hiss, holding it easily with one hand, offering her a small smile.]

Did I scare you? This isn't exactly the nicest of places one might find themselves in, unfortunately. I've been here... long enough to get the hang of it, I suppose. If you have questions, I'd be glad to answer them if I can. I know it's not an easy thing to swallow.

He'd probably have relished the ability to actually find food in this place that wasn't costing him an arm and a leg, if he wasn't sure it meant he was stuck here. Sho wasn't really good at settling and staying in place, and it showed; he'd gotten his oatmeal, and instead of sitting with it, he ate it while slowly walking around. He didn't even seem to taste the food, if the intense look on his face was any indication.

Wow, I wasn't expecting to meet anyone so helpful this soon! Strike up a win for me!

[Maya holds out her hand for a handshake]

I think I'm just adjusting to the... well. Concept right now. The initial shock doesn't take too long to get over, does it?

Apparently this man never had to deal with Trish's Fountain of Healing and HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE PRICES.

Still, it was nice to see that there were actual human beings in this tower, though. Finishing up her oatmeal, Maya walked on over to Sho, smiling, and sat herself down.

"Hi there!"

[Eleanor laughs a little, wry.]

Being here is... not what any of us wanted, I think. I personally think no one deserves to have it made harder by unnecessary unkindness.

[She shrugs.]

It depends. I was never particularly attached to my world at all, so the thing I protested the most was the captivity. But everyone takes it differently, I suppose.

No, he got to deal with alignment temples kicking him out. He'd rather pay out his ear for Trish's ice cream.

Sho jolted awkwardly when Maya spoke up, turning to stare at her with wide eyes before relaxing slightly. Still tense, but not nearly as stiff.

"Ah, hi." Why did he feel nervous? Sure, he was still jittery from Ropponji, but that shouldn't have meant anything now. "Are you...new? New, too, I mean?"

[Maya takes back her hand]

Hmm. I just hope that someone from my world made it. Otherwise, it's a bit lonely.

On the other hand, I suppose that means I get to make new friends!

[Okay, Maya, it's obvious you're trying too hard]

It's still better than being dead, anyway.

[She... kinda? Knows this from experience.]

Maya simply nodded. "Do I make it that obvious?" Maya tried to laugh it off, but the worrisome expression on her face wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Especially after the weird sleep-paralysis.

"So we're both new," Maya concluded, her reporter's instincts sharp as ever. "Just out of curiosity - do you come from Japan, too?" Maya then shook her head, realizing how forward she was being without introducing herself. Visibly taking a step back as she straightened up her spine, she bowed politely. "My name's Maya Amano - sorry for not introducing myself earlier."

Death should not be a concern for you here, then.

[Eleanor smile turns slightly sharp and she shakes her head.]

Should you die here, you will simply wake up later. Just as fine.

[Then she shrugs again.]

There's actually an aquarium and a pool floor, but they are dangerous unless you know how to breathe under water. But no, this is... armor, I guess you could call it, that they were kind enough to let me keep from my world.

[Her expression betrays what she thinks of that kindness.]

I see no reason why not take advantage of it.

Come to think of it, we do each get a trunk, don't we? I haven't bothered to check mine, yet.

That armor seems heavy to move around in. You must be pretty buff if you're used to it!

Anyway, you teleport much? It's pretty cool - I haven't seen much of that. You born with it, or-?

[Eleanor looks like she wants to ask what a teen magazine is - she's never read one before, y'know? - but before she can ask, she's being asked interesting questions, which made her wry smile grow wryer.]

Let's see, no, I much prefer to walk around to get to places. Or swim. I enjoy little freedoms like that. I generally teleport to places when it seems necessary.

[Like loud, angry noises, yep. She shrugs.]

I was not born with my abilities, but rather... given them--

--a few years ago. I don't know about them being cool or not, but they are certainly convenient.

[How did this 17 year old suddenly sit on the other side of her, looking at her curiously? Because that was how Naoya rolled. She was obviously a Persona user, from the way Vishnu and Amon-Ra where talking to him. He had seen many of them be grumpy or tired but there was something...different to her. It was hard to explain.]

Freedom's a pretty big thing a lot of people take for granted. I should know - interviewing a lot of celebrities, a big complaint off of the record they have is that they miss the normal life, not being watched by everybody. Ironic since a lot of peoples' dreams involve becoming famous. I suppose the grass is always greener on the other side?

[Maya waxes philosophical!]

So you have other abilities? That sounds so neat! Could I ask what else you can do, Eleanor?

[Oh crap, where did this kid come from? Artemis must have been enjoying her confusion as his presence was completely masked until he spoke up. Sheepishly putting the mallet down, Maya straightened herself out - yes, she intended to make a ruckus. Because. That's what she did.]

[Maya immediately recognizes him from the Mt. Iwato Springs of Reflection. He's that person...!]

Wow, even back then you were a stylish teen! It's a shame I never got to interview you!

[Artemis becomes an apparition behind her]

It's not as cool as your abilities, probably, but it's nice to know I'm not in this tower alone.

[ There's nothing like the booming sound of a gong going off to catch Loki's attention-- a call to arms in some places, he remembered, and a finisher for days in others. He doubted it meant either here-- form what he had seen much didn't bother to make sense in a place like this. Still, he followed the sound catching the instrument and the player with a raised brow on his part. Hands intertwined behind his back as he walked, allowing his attention to drift over the instruments before back to her. ]

Are you trying to find help? [ Not that he would help, but he was curious as to why she would bother to make such a mess of noise. ]

I see, I'm rooming in 1-15, though I don't really spend much time there? I'm usually making rounds around the tower, seeing if I can help around here and there.

Even if she was new, she sure was on the ball. Sho was almost flustered, but did manage to choke out a "Uh? Yeah, Kichijoji. Er, what's...left of it anyway, 'fore the demons got to it." before knitting his brows together. He gave a half-bow, the head-mount for his comp flopping down by the sudden motion. He didn't bother to set it back, and just let it dangle around his neck.

"Sho Futsuo. Uh, are...you a survivor too? Of the bombing?" Her clothes weren't exactly...normal for Tokyo-2036. There wasn't nearly enough poncho.

[ He has no idea what high school is, and thus just assumes it is some form of higher learning. He purses his lips thinking back to the noise she had made and could not reconcile it to the music he knew of Asgard. ]

Yes, well I've found you now. [ He raises an eyebrow, as if curious, though his own wonder has been sated by discovering the racket. ]

Well, that's a relief!

[Huh, this guy looks Caucasian? He's not Japanese, at any rate - however, how could they understand each other? Just good at Engrish as Maya believes herself to be, this just seemed a bit off - the Tower must be at work here, regarding that.]

I didn't mean to disturb you - the room was already so noisy, I didn't think that it mattered if I added onto it.

Do you often come to this floor?

"Bombing?" Apparently another version of Japan was in trouble. "I suppose it doesn't help if I tell you that I come from a version of Japan that was more or less annihilated after a UFO underneath my city decided to rise up." Well, it was more complicated than that, but it was a really long story - in any case, Maya was far more interested in this bombing. As if the bombs that the Joker set off weren't enough!

"That's an interesting device around your neck. I take it that's from your home world?"

Wow, that's really nice of you! I'd like to think that people would help each other out, though I've seen the other extreme of it, too.

[cocking her head to the side, another question came to Maya's mind.]

Say, is there anyone here I should be watching out for?

Mmm, pretty much anything you see in the hallways at night? There's monsters and stuff that can be fun to hunt sometimes...

[She shrugs a little.]

But the people themselves? I wouldn't know. Haven't met anyone who made me feel threatened, if that's what you mean. But then... I'm not exactly easy to scare off.

[ Could be the work of the tower, could not be, he doesn't even think about it as he speaks the All-Tongue which allows him to speak to anyone he cares to. ]

No, I do not, I have yet to be here I was just alerted by the noise.
