whoops didn't realize you guys were already posting here
[Minako is much more calm about this, offering Tara a small, reassuring smile. She'd gone through her fair share of labyrinths before. Albeit she had the benefit of outside assistance before, but the Tower isn't Tartarus. They aren't going to allow them the benefit of help.
So that means they just had to make do.]
If there's something potentially dangerous on the other side of that door, maybe we could split into two groups-- one distracts the thing, and the other looks for a way out.
Yeah, we're apparently a big ol' bunch of go-getters~.
[Tara's fists clench at her sides as she stands by the door. She feels humiliated that everyone else is taking this better than she is. She's not supposed to be this weak. That was what her second death was supposed to have given her the chance to fix.
Stop and think. Breath. Dammit, they didn't even give her one of her mystic stones to use to help sharpen her focus.]
Did, um, did any of us get a weapon?

He doesn't comment on that further, turning to Minako instead, head tilting slightly as he considers her idea and after a moment he nods.]
Sounds like an idea. [And certainly better than storming ahead blindly or waiting here for the administrators to kill them.] ...I volunteer for the first group.

Um...I'm Tara. It's, um, it's nice to meet you all. [Minako gets a nod, however, at this - they have met before, at least, and it is kind of nice to see a familiar face in the midst of all this...thisness.]
I...I guess we're a team. [And, really, it's this thought that cheers Tara up a bit. Teams. She does like being on a team, even if it does seem to happen under the most unfortunate circumstances.] So, um, working together. Right. I-I can do that.
...I know Minako but, um, I'd like to know your names first. Even if it's just so I know what to shout, when we go in.

once he can't take it anymore, out it goes with a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! ]
Thank god! Pleasantries over? Do we need to sit around and drink tea too?
[ rolling eyes now. bah humans. 8/ ]
Splitting up isn't a bad idea. I have a weapon so it makes the most sense for me and anyone who has some hand to hand combat experience to go in first. The problem is this: what if whatever's in there, if there is something in there, decides to split up too? Then team two is more or less fucking defenseless.

Just because we're defenseless doesn't mean we're helpless. I know hand-to-hand combat too. And we have legs, we can run. Even without my powers I can do that much, at least.
[She frowns a little, turning over the worst case scenario in her mind.]
If we're really in trouble, we could yell to you guys and bring whatever's chasing us in your direction.
no subject
If we continue to discuss all possible what-ifs, we won't get out here any time soon. Right now we don't even know what they have waiting for us.
[Not that Riku is really eager to face that, but... speculating too much seems pretty pointless.
He nods over at Karkat, head tilting slightly at his weapon of choice.]
I assume, you are some good with that?
[It never hurts to check. Having a weapon =/= being skilled at using it, after all.]
