"...whoops." And this is why he is also a Horrible Librarian. "Okay, I- I'm gonna go wash up for a second...I don't want whoever has to clean this place to strangle me." He's mostly joking still, but considering he's already planning to make a mess later on...yeah he doesn't wanna heap on even more issues.

At least he couldn't make an even bigger mess while he was washing his hands? ...mostly? If anything, his speedy scrubbing was just sudsing up all the dishes in the sink. Totally beneficial.
