Summary: Oh gosh oh gosh they just ranked up from really good friends to boyfriend and girlfriend. THIS CALLS FOR A FEELINGS JAM.
Warnings: Cuteness. Lots of it.

[Feferi was practically bouncing when she headed to her room to grab a blanket. She did bounce up the stairs, taking them two at a time. She sang all the way upstairs - no song in particular, just something that made her feel happy. Anyone who looked at her would hardly know her as the girl who had been so sad over the network just a few days prior.

But she was happy. None of that nagging confusion that had been tugging at the back of her head.

The weather was always perfect in the meadow, so all Feferi had to do was pick a spot, lay out the blanket, and flop down on it, giggling.]

[Mind if he sneaks up and flops down behind her? uvu Because he's gonna!

He may not be as bouncy as she is, but he's definitely just as happy - this is so new to him, but it's a good kind of new!

... Does he even need to say anything in greeting?]

[Nope! She knows. And that just makes her smile brighter.

For the first time in a long time, she's not worrying about anything. She's relaxed, the sun's shining, and she's with someone she cares about very much.]

I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world right now.

[Have a bit of laughter then, Feferi - and a bright smile in return!]

Now, why would you think that? I'm not that great, am I?

[She flips onto her stomach, giggling all the while.]

Because when I'm around you, I forget all that scary stuff that's lurking out there in that deep water. I know it isn't gone forever, but being able to forget it for a while makes me feel like some kind of anchor just got lifted off me. It's a reely good feeling.

[Haha - ah! Feferi, you have too much hair, it goes all over when you move too much --
Genda doesn't mind much though; he just gently brushes it back from her face.]

Wow... I guess that makes me pretty important, huh?

[He's not used to this kind of importance - everything else was really just centered around his abilities...]

[She smiles, smoothing back a stray lock of his hair.]

To me, it does. I hardly even got to feel like that back at home. There was always a lot of pressure on me. Having to be this perfect princess all the time, learning all this history, all that. I didn't get to see my friends all that often.

It sounds weird, but the one thing this plaice has given me - even with all the awful stuff - is the freedom to do things I'd never get to do at home. And you're a big, big part of that.

Plus, you're really sweet, you make me smile, you make me laugh...

[She trails off into a blush.]

[You know what - she's going to be getting a big hug. That's something he can do right now, right?]

I don't think that sounds weird at all! This place has a lot of good to go with the bad, and...
I'm glad I can be a part of that for you, Feferi.

... And you have a really cute smile, you know. [Hehe.]

[He can definitely do that. She snuggles close, rubbing her nose against his and giggling before pulling her face back a little.]

It really does. It's hard to see it sometimes, because it's so easy to get focused on all the scary stuff. But there are good things that happen here too. I never would have met you without getting brought here.

...not as cute as yours. Or the way that when you get really excited, you get this light in your eyes. I've never seen anything like it.

[-- Oh, damn, he's blushing again. But he's giving her a big, warm smile anyway - and a little eskimo kiss in return. uwu]

You know, with you here, I think even the scary stuff won't be too hard to deal with. Right?

[That last part gets him to laugh though -]

There is no way in the world my smile's cuter than yours, Feferi.

[And then there's that giggle again. She doesn't move back very far when he leans in for that little eskimo kiss.]

It seems like it's going to be a lot easier now, yeah. Having friends here is great, because they always have your back, but this feels so much different. So much better, in its own way.

[She smiles again, bright happy.]

Nope. No way. You definitely have the cuter smile...hey. Can I call you by your first name?

... My first name?

I - well... if you'd like to, you can. [Still blushing, whoops.]

I think I'd like that, actually.

Then I will, from now on, okay, Koujirou?

[She giggles, sounding happy.]

You don't have to call me - what was it, Feferi-hime? You don't have to say that. It makes me feel like I'm being put up on some kind of pedestal. I just want to be me, okay?

Alright. If you're sure - I'll just call you Feferi, then!

[That giggle gets a little laugh from him, of course -] Everything is cute about you, isn't it? Even your laugh is adorable.
But I especially like your smile.

I'm positive!

[That just leads into a giggle loop.]

Not everything! I don't look like the otter gills here. Most of them don't have horns or gills or fins.

...not as much as I love yours.

[Oh, she's getting more laughter then, and he shakes his head a bit.]

Who cares what the other girls are like? So what it they don't have horns or gills or fins - those are what make you, you.

Sure, they're a little odd - I've never met another girl with them, before! - but they're still just as cute.

You make me think of a mermaid.

[She goes quiet for a minute, blushing deep pink.]

I just - I - I couldn't help comparing a little, when I got here. It's kinda hard not to, I think.

[There is so such a thing as Troll Disney, okay. And there was a version of Troll Little Mermaid, only with a longer, more obnoxious title. But the music's the same. So she starts singing the melody line to one of the more recognizable songs.]

I watched movies about them when I was younger. Some of my friends said I wouldn't ever stop singing the songs from them...

[Oh, aw - even her singing is adorable!
... Halfway through the melody line, he couldn't help humming along.]

I wouldn't be surprised, that movie seems exactly like something you'd watch. [He recognizes the song, after all - Disney was his childhood!
Though, he was more of a Lion King kind of kid.]

But really, you shouldn't use the other girls as a standard to hold yourself to, Feferi. You're not like them, and I love that.
Even if we're not the same... kind of person, I guess - I still think you're really pretty.

I watched a lot of those. Let's see, there was the Royal Roarbeast...

[She switches to one he's sure to know. They kept a lot of the words the same.]

I guess I shouldn't, huh? Maybe embracing who I am is better.

[There's that blush.]

Really, Koujirou?

[Well - thanks to the tower's translating, the words aren't the ones he remembers either way. But he does hum along, singing Hakuna Matata at the end with her!
And laughing a bit - are they really singing Disney songs together?]

Yes, really! I'd never say something if I didn't mean it, you know.

[They most certainly are. It's one of those things she hasn't gotten to do with anyone in what feels like forever, and she lets out a cheerful whoop when they're done.]

We've got to do that more.

[She smiles, then settles back down.]

I'm really, really happy right now.
