b) on floors that limit powers, there will be Bern wandering around, skulking in the shadows when she can, picking up or examining any objects near her.]

[It doesn't take long for Lambda to spot the cats - she can just feel Bernkastel's presence. So, especially when all those eyes appear from the shadows, she knows. She squats and holds out a hand, wiggling her fingers as she calls out.]

[Most of the eyes disappear, leaving only two. They look at Lambda quizzically.

Of course, Bern knows what's she's doing, but it's never fun without a game.]

Oh? Isn't that a little mean? Come here, I'm not gonna hurt you, kitty, just put a collar around your neck and make you mine...

[wittlich]

[The cat's eyes stay where they are, but Bern settles for apparating somewhere behind Lambda, perched on top of some furniture.]

Your potential collar isn't terribly appealing, if history repeats. [snrk]

[She doesn't turn around, instead only standing and acting as if she doesn't know who or where Bern is.]

Aah, are there two fish in the bowl~? This cat sure did get lucky, what a feast...

He suddenly turns around, grabbing his gun and firing at whatever was watching him. His bullets harm even powerful demons, so Bern you better watch out.]

[she smirks, just a small bit.]

Be careful to chew your food before you swallow.

[They seem a little harder to dodge than normal. Hmm. Consider her interest piqued.]

...what a unique firearm you seem to have.

[he quickly glances at his gun then back to her.]

A demon? [nah, she can't be... he really doesn't feel that from her.]

[oh hey, there are eyes watching him. that's...not new to Dextera but the sounds are, so he'll slowly approch the eyes to take a better look. what are you...?]

Who am I? I'm Bernkastel.

If you already know about demons, you should surely know about what I am.

[A kitty emerges from within the darkness. It looks up at Dextera and mews quietly.]

[he's...never met a cat before! but it looks harmless so he'll try reaching down to touch it. here kitty kitty...]

[stalemates]

[She giggles] But then you couldn't live on inside my stomach~ If I just swallow you whole, you'll get to slowly be eaten up by acid...and maybe even desperately try to swim your way out...

[It seems nice enough. It wants to be petted.

Except now a second cat is emerging from the dark.]

[okay, that's fine. he pets the first one carefully before moving onto the second one. if one gets pettings, the other should, right?]

[Haruhi knows when she's being watched. But when she turns around, she notices the cat eyes and meows.]

A cat, huh...

[The cat it still, watching her.

And suddenly about ten more pairs of eyes appear in the darkness alongside them.]

[Suddenly...the second cat seems to get angry. He hisses and backs away, startling the first cat on top of things.]

Wow, that's so cool! [Except for the fact that Haruhi has always and forever will love things that are not exactly... normal.] Can you duplicate yourself, kitty?

[Dextera immediately backs up when the cat hisses and looks back towards the first cat. did they not like each other?]

He's not the one doing the work. [Bern's voice seems to come from within the shadows, but she doesn't bother to appear.]

[Bern decides this has gotten boring enough, and appears a few feet away, perched on top of some boxes, her legs folded.]

Cats are awfully stingy, you know.
