[When the Tower no longer provided food, it did not understand the forces it was messing with. Though Saber did not require food as she had a steady immense supply of prana, the knight loved to eat. Her vassal made food far superior to the stuff provided, but that wasn't the biggest concern to Saber - no matter how she reacted.

Whereas she did not require food, Kazumi did. And so did Hakuno. Rin did as well, but that master had her own servant. Lancer would provide for her. Saber needed to take care of her own.

So she lead Kazumi and Hakuno up a few floors from the lounge to the sprawling forest. Saber had shed her armor, having calmed down, before she found Hakuno, so she was clad only in her black dress as they stepped out under the trees. Excalibur was in hand, but she used the Invisible Wind to keep it concealed.]

Take this moment to converse and ask any questions you may have. Once we begin the hunt, there will be silence.

[Kazumi was already transformed into her Puella Magi outfit, staff in hand.]

Any idea what we're hunting in here? I haven't really explored this floor before...

[Hakuno isn't quite as prepared as the others. She keeps the Exorcist Blade - a small, ornate dagger that doesn't really look like it'll be of much help in a fight - tucked in her pocket at all times, but Saber had found her and dragged her off before she could get a chance to go upstairs and pull anything else out from her trunk. Hopefully that will be enough...]

No idea. [She shakes her head.] I've been staying away from the more iffy-looking floors until now.

I was here briefly after my initial arrival while doing some preliminary exploration. I did not venture deep into the wood, but I could hear plenty enough wildlife that I believe we will have the most luck here.

[She turns back to the two.]

I am hoping to find a stag in these woods. Venison sounds perfect. Do you not agree?

I hope it's nothing weird... [Well, these woods looked okay...]

Ooh, I haven't really gotten to work with it much before, but that does sound good!

Knowing this tower? It probably is something weird. [She's only been here a month and she knows that you can't expect normal stuff from a place like this!]

Oh, and it does sound good. I'm not really that picky... I pretty much lived off of cafeteria food for nearly two months. Most things are better than that.

Kazumi is my vassal, Hakuno. If you wish to partake of the food she prepares, you are welcome at our table as you please.

[Her gaze returns to the foliage about them.]

Should it be something 'weird', we will still take it and feast. In these times, one cannot be as picky as usual.

[Which was more to herself than the others...]

Hehe... nice to meetcha, Hakuno!

[She was going to wait until after the Q&A to introduce herself to Hakuno but this seemed like a good opportunity]

I guess that's true...

[Well, hopefully it wasn't... so weird she didn't know how to prepare it]

Yeah, nice to meet you too.

[She smiles. If this girl gets along with Saber, then there's no doubt that Hakuno will get along with her.]

I don't know how much good I'll be with hunting like this, but I'll do my best.

You both need not take an active part in the hunt, just watch and learn. I will be able to take the game down alone.

[She glances at Hakuno; the girl knew exactly why she wouldn't need help.]

There may come a time when I will not be able to provide for you. It would be best to learn how to hunt in case something were to happen to me.

Oh? Okay...

[Kazumi is a little relieved and little disappointed. When she thinks about it though, it's probably for the best.]

Right.

["In case something were to happen to me". Hakuno doesn't really like that thought... but she can't focus on that now. She shakes her head, then nods in agreement.]

I understand. I'll make sure to observe as closely as I can.

Anything else before we go?

[Kazumi shook her head]

I'm ready.

[Hakuno also shakes her head.] Nope, I've got nothing. I'm ready, too.

Now, maintain your silence unless it is imperative you speak. We will move silently through the woods, close to the cover, and keep a look out for large game. Whereas I prefer a deer, I will accept a boar or anything else of sufficient size.

If you see something, I want you to lightly touch my back with two fingers. If I see something, I will stop and raised my left hand. At that point I want you two to be still and wait for me to take it down.

[And then Saber started into the forest, taking slow measured steps, making not a sound as she began the hunt.]

[ooc: Feel free to throw anything at us. You don't need to rely on my to NPC any critters.]

[Kazumi nodded, already falling into silence as she gripped her staff tighter and, after a moment, decided to lose the hat. It was kind of huge, and even if it was a dark color, probably not helpful for sneaking around. She followed lightly after the knight, keeping an eye out for movement. So far she only saw a few birds, and even a raccoon but it didn't look like anything worth hunting...

Wait, what was that snuffling noise? Deer didn't... snuffle, did they?]
