[… Well that's an unpleasant way to wake up. Ken doesn't consider himself someone who believes in monsters under the bed - just Shadows - but in this tower, you never knew.]

[But just in case, he closed his eyes and summoned Dike as quietly as he could (though the bang didn't help).]

'Chidori? I think there's something under my bed. … Not in the little kid way. Please help?'

[… Hesitantly, Ken opened his eyes and peeked under the bed. A large hand reached out and grabbed for his neck as Dike disappeared.]

[Well this certainly was a way for him to be woken up...Naoya doesn't even hesitate and grabs his sword ready to slice whatever is attacking Ken.]

[Ken thrashes against the monster, trying to kick it as it picks him up. His kicks don't seem to be doing much damage, honestly.]

[It's fortunate she wakes earlier than the rest of the tower, most days- she'd already been awake and ready to get on with her day.]

[It doesn't take her too long to make her way to his room, and not too long after that to launch an axe reflexively at whatever the thing is that's got its hands on Ken.]
