Characters: Sora and Xion
Setting: Room 1-01, forward-dated to Friday.
Format: Action
Summary: Sora goes to visit Xion and apologize for how he acted during the Body Swap event; meanwhile, Xion has worries of her own, and discovers that all is not right with Sora's memories.
Warnings: Kingdom Hearts Is Suffering. Otherwise nothing.

[It had taken Sora awhile to feel completely, totally, without-a-doubt like himself after everything that had happened. For a few days he hadn't even slept much, out of a subconcious fear that he would wake up with the wrong body or heart or worse, but that had been getting better. After all, it's hard to keep a champion napper like Sora down for long.

He was still avoiding shadows and dark places, though. Just for a little while.

But now that he was feeling more normal, he knew that he had to get a few things done. Namely, he needed to apologize to a few people for how he was acting before. Starting here...not to mention that he hadn't even seen Xion around for awhile, so he was a little worried.

He knocked, hoping that she would be around to answer.]

Xion? You there?

[Xion had been trying to nap - trying to catch up on her rest in this room that she didn't feel safe in, but had to sleep occasionally or else she got no rest at all. It didn't help that whenever she fell asleep anymore, she was assailed by dreams - memories?

Only lately they'd been different. Not of home but of here. She... couldn't help but wonder, what it meant.

Still, it means she jumps at the sounds of the knock, head whipping up and around even before she realizes she recognizes the voice.]

Sora?

... Yeah, I'm here.

[Sora opens the door, wearing that dorky grin of his like it's going out of style. He's just glad that she's here, and that she seems to be okay.]

Mind if I come in? I wanted to talk to you a little.

[Even though the subject he wants to bring up is a serious apology, for some reason he can't stop smiling. He hasn't been talking to people enough lately, so...maybe he's just really glad to see her.

Glad to be glad to see her.]

[She's still a tiny bit hesitant, given what... well what happened last time. But she knows about the bodyswap, so it's silly and... Her shoulders ease a little bit at that grin though. That was definitely Sora.]

Sure.

[Sorry she's not the most talkative at the moment. She's been through a lot lately.]

[He closes the door behind him, walking over and sitting down on the bed.]

It's just...

[And this is where the grin begins to fade a bit, and finally completely, into a very apologetic look. His memories of how he acted when he talked to her on that last day in Vanitas' body were still fuzzy, but the more he managed to recall, the worse he felt.]

I'm really sorry, about the way I was acting before. I got really...confused.

[To say the least.]

I didn't feel like myself.

[She smiles a little wistfully. This more than anything, confirms its who she thought it was. This is the person whom she'd come to care about so much. Who cared about her. Who didn't care how she'd been created or what she was. Who saw her. Cared about her.]

It's okay.

[She sighs]

We know... that Jason was in charge of the Tower last month so... I guess it makes sense that some crazy things would happen.

[When she says it's okay, he lets out a breath that he didn't realize he was holding. It's a good thing she's not mad at him, even if he would have understood if she was. He had let things get so far out of hand those last few days...

...except he pauses when she continues, eyes widening a bit in confusion.]

Um...Jason?

[Funny; it sounds as if he's never heard that name in his life.]

Who are you talking about?

[Xion stares. The labyrinth ẉ̩̳͢h̠̮̤̱͔͘y̥͙ ͎͓c̟͚̲̮͔̺̪͘a͈͓͔n̝̬̲̩̯͡ ̮͇̙̫̼̥̜͠s̠͘h̘̪̟͕͖͕e̜̘̻̦̥̳ ̵̩̫̟͇r͉̘͇̙͚̹e̶̲̟̘m̳̝̮e҉͍m̦̭̱b̦̹̠̕e̻͓͕̯̫r̸͖̤̭̤ ͈̭͓i̛͕͙͖̹͙͚̩ṭ͇͍́ and him coming on the network and the nutri-bars and stabbing Roxas and Ven and Sayaka in the hands and other things besides...

... maybe it's just aftereffects of the body swap.]

Jason. He's one of the Tower's admins. He... he's done a lot of awful things. Like the labyrinth. The one you were in back in May.

[You remember that, right?]

Really? Man, I don't remember hearing about him at all.

[That explains a lot, though, if one of the admins likes to do a lot of bad stuff, like switching everyone's bodies around and that...wait, that labyrinth thing...]

...wait, are you sure that happened in May? It seems like a lot longer ago to me.

[He recalls what happened - as much as he doesn't want to - but it all seems distant. Or maybe like he's missing something? Weird.]

Yeah... I'm sure...

[Sora... Sora this is a little concerning... There's... so many different reasons that Sora should remember Jason, and the labyrinth...]

I remember watching, when- [When you died] It was May, I'm sure of it.

[Could it have to do with the drea- ... no... it couldn't be... Co̴͘͘ư͜͟l̛͟d́ ̸͠it̡͠?͝

Side effects from the bodyswap. It had to be. ~~Even though Reno was all the way back to normal, along with everyone else...~~]

Well...I guess you're right.

[He believed her, but he still couldn't recall the date. He - reluctantly - tried to recall all the events, too, and realized that they seemed pretty jumbled.

No, not...jumbled. More like they were in pieces.

He puts a hand on his head, as if he was getting a headache. Maybe he's not in such good shape yet after all.]

It's weird that I'm having trouble remembering. Maybe I'm just tired or something.

Maybe...

[Or maybe...

She shouldn't do this. If she's right then she has no right to be doing what she's about to try. They aren't her memories. She shouldn't even have them, let alone be able to look at them like this... But she's not sure how else to confirm her suspicions.

Gently, tentatively, she reaches towards those dreams. The ones she's been having the past few nights.]

Sora... is... there anything else that you're having trouble remembering?

Well, I guess I'm having trouble getting some of the stuff that happened in the Labyrinth straight, but...

[It's not easy to go over all of your memories looking for signs that something is wrong, but Sora tries all the same. Everything seems normal, but...

Well, how can he tell if something's wrong or not, just like that?]

I don't think so. It's, er, kind of hard to tell, though.

[He scratches his head, though, as if it'll help him think. He's trying reallyyyyy hard, okay?]
