Summary: Rika struggles to collect candies and ultimately dies. Then comes back as mini'Bernkastel to be a sadistic meanie.
Warnings: Bernkastel-ness... Violence, cruelty, and a sick sense of fun
15th : Around the Tower / Ending on Floor 22
Rika had been forced to wear many humiliating costumes in her lifetimes. Maids, kitty girls, just her swimsuit... but none were as awful as this. Dressed as Bernkastel, the witch she did not like being associated with, was among the worst of the fates she could have endured. It was annoying enough to have to collect various candies in order to stay alive without the burden of the costume.
The fifteenth started a harder routine for candy hunting. Rika was not a girl with the physical strength or abilities required to fight monsters, which left her competing for what else remained. Her status as a newbie made many parts of the tower unfamiliar to her and she was more out of her comfort zone than ever. As her fruitless search brought her to the twenty-second floor's art gallery, Rika decided she had had enough for the time being. She let her eyes wander to the paintings, drinking in their details rather than scouring the gallery for candy.
17 - 20th : Around the Tower / Floor Thirty-Eight
(( ! Please specify a date! Rika will be becoming increasingly sadistic as the days go by. She will only verbally taunt on the 17th, but will become increasingly cruel and violent as days go by. ! ))
On the 15th of October, Furude Rika died.
She'd expected it. She wasn't cut out for competition as Furude Rika. Her human body was aged, but it was weak. Easily killed. Not built to fight. Just to die.
But now things were different.
When Rika woke up she saw no reason to go on pretending. There was no reason to hide her true nature behind the mask of the girl called "Furude Rika". The sparkle in her eyes had dimmed and faded. She had a single cat's tail and an elegant dress, more detailed and exact than the replica of her previous costume. And it was no longer a costume. She was not "dressing up" as Bernkastel. She was Bernkastel.
And she is behaving appropriately. If you don't find her on the thirty-eighth floor, watching people pass by with a blank expression, then you may find her collecting candy. Sure, she doesn't need any of it herself... but that doesn't mean she won't benefit from collecting it. The sooner and more obvious the shortage is, the more interesting the struggle to survive will become. And despite her dislike of such things as Furude Rika, Bernkastel has no problem with it. Truth be told, she is actually looking forward to seeing more people suffocate in their costumes.

[ Furuderika Bernkastel lifted her head, holding her latest piece of found candy between her fingers. Rolling it, as it was round, and debating whether or not to unwrap it. It would taste hideously sweet, but it would be satisfying to know that the only way for it to be retrieved would be by ripping out her insides... The pain would be a small price to pay in exchange for watching the resulting chaos.
But she manages to resist the urge. Just watching Maya, no light of recognition in her eyes or voice even as her words imply it. ]

[Thankfully, they've met before. Once. And thankfully, Maya has a knack for names. But she'll smile innocently, clasping her hands together. She was obviously gathering candy, too, but was not all that great at it. In fact, she was a little (no, make that a lot under the quota.]

Rika's blank eyes met her friend's. Watching her quietly, then unwrapping the candy in her hands.
"It's not by force, really. Are you forced?"
She spoke calmly, debating. To eat the candy or not? She wasn't really fond of sweet things.
