first strike.
Characters: Blazenova and you!
Setting: Room 03-17 to start off with and then EXPLORING. 8D
Format: Prose, but can go to action.
Summary: Blazenova wakes up in the tower and is immediately suspicious because she thinks she's in Alliance territory.
Warnings: Bitchy/condescending blood elf count? Also possible violence.
[ ROOM 03-17 ]
When Blazenova awoke, she was expecting to be surrounded by her fellow Horde members in the camp she was in and begin her day once more. Wherever this place was, it felt wrong. More importantly, so did the item around her neck. Her motions were quiet as she checked the collar and her expression soured that much more.
She dared to move her head to the side to look around at her surroundings that much more before disappearing in the shadows to skulk around in the room, moving around on the walls and not making so much as a peep as she moved around to look at the note on her chest.
Your world has been destroyed. I saved you. Let's all be happy here.
Happy? Saved? More importantly, destroyed? Quel'thas be damned, what did those idiots in command do to destroy Azeroth?
Whatever the case may be, she knew she had to work quickly and try to get out of this area. First came her clothes and then her daggers, and after that, she sank into the shadows again, scoping the area around her more.
[ HALLWAYS ]
Sap. Cheap Shot. Ambush. Garrote. Then, if her stealth was broken, finish them off quickly with a Dispatch or Envenom. It was second nature to her by now to take down the Mirelurks that stood in her way and then quickly slip back into the shadows. How many enemies were teeming around here and did she have to kill all of them just to get to the person in charge? Blazenova didn't know, but she wasn't about to sit by and think about the answer while she could be taken down at any moment.
She moved quickly through the monster-infested hallways, keeping an eye out for anyone who might be familiar. Maybe fate liked her and would let her see someone familiar from Azeroth here after all...
[ CAFETERIA ]
To survive, she had to eat the oatmeal. Well, that was all fine and good - it beat some of the gruel she ate while in Horde camps, even if it was made by Alliance scum.
Still, her defenses were as sharp as ever and she had a steady hand on her dagger, ready to toss if needed and lay a lethal strike at a target.
Not too bad, she commented idly to herself, making sure to eat every last bite of the meal in front of her. She didn't know when her next one would be, after all.

"I know you're there rogue."

And she was so not looking forward to dying today, thank you.
"Prove to me you're the Dark Lady."

"You know of my race. However, how do I know that this is not a trick by the Alliance to keep their Horde prisoner secure in these walls?" she asked, still concealed in the shadows themselves.
room :x
"How did..."
Cafeteria
[Hello Blazenova, meet the king of saying the wrong things with good intentions, carrying a tray of varioius pumpkin-flavored provisions.]

[ While she liked Azeroth's cuisine for the most part, there were a few things she could have gone without. ]
...I did not realize it was Hallow's End here, too.
Cafeteria
However, this particular Troll female was hanging upside down from one of the rafters while eating, musing to herself as she read a book she had pilfered some time ago.
Sometimes you just had to keep things different to keep your mind sane.

"'Hanging' in there, I assume?"
It did make her glad to see others from Azeroth here, even if she hadn't ran across any sin'dorei yet.
no subject
"'Aven't seen joo before, ya jus' arrive den?"
no subject
"Have you seen anyone else from Azeroth here?"
no subject
Hallow's End? [Hallow's...oh.] You mean Halloween? Yeah. Normally it'd be something fun to do, but I'm suspicious about the trick-or-treating.

Xue shrugs and eats another treat.
"S'far as otha Azerothians, I only saw da Dark Lady recently. Always as displeased as she be, it was still nice seein' her mon."
no subject
Explain, please.
no subject
Blazenova listened to Xue, nodding every so often to show that she was listening.
"It's a suitable enough explanation for now," she said with a firm nod to show that she understood the troll's words.
"However, can you go a little bit further in explaining our current situation? I didn't go to sleep with this on my neck." She yanked at the collar, hating to be brandished like this.
no subject
"We all seem ta wake up wit dis ting 'round our necks and we all be gettin' da letter dat joo already know about. Da rest is pretty much as dey come an' go. Some of der experiments ain't too bad, but mosta dem are fatal or life threatening." Not that Azerothians weren't used to danger but still.
