☆ Exploration
Characters: Alcor, Yamato, open to everyone~
Setting: Literally everywhere conceivable, Nov 2nd all day.
Format: I will follow you to the ends of the tower
Summary: In an effort to put October as faaaaaaaar behind him as possible, Alcor's going around with Yamato to see the sights and look for some folks to do a formal introduction.
Warnings: Dadcor being really grossly proud of his little bratty kid <3
If he ever left this forsaken tower and returned to his own place, set to claim the heavenly throne...he'd actually have to stay his hand from erasing the concept of 'October' from the new world he would make. Really, Alcor hadn't been very visible for most of the month; he had teleported around, stolen candy and given it to those he was most invested in, and then sleeping off his stress. It hadn't been a healthy exchange for him, but he had mostly been able to keep from lapsing in to a moment of mental emptiness. ...Mostly.
So the best way to greet November was with his best foot forward, right? Metaphorically speaking, of course. He wanted to have more time to actually show Yamato what was where, and to show him people he could trust- thus a leisurely tour of the tower was begun bright and early on the 2nd. Feel free to run in to them anywhere and everywhere, just be prepared to deal with a really ridiculous father-son duo.

[......there's just someone looking zoned out and shuffling through the hallways.
Yeah, remember when he talked about hope?
He's kinda needing them right now.]

October had been downright traumatising to him, and right now he just wanted to sit in his room eating pumpkin seeds for an eternity. Instead Alcor made him come out of his room and stagger about the stupid tower which was full of stupid things like stupid costumes and stupid people and stupid candy.
Did he say the tower was stupid yet.
"Are we going to do this for long? I'm not in the mood for a long walk."
Let the bratting commence.
Floor 28
Though at least this time the melody sounded less sad and more angry than the first time he'd met Alcor here.
no subject
Of course seeing someone he enjoys spending time with, Alcor gets a nod and a smile.]
Good day, Al Saiduq. [And to Yamato as well.] Who is your companion, today?
no subject
Even if he had put October out of his mind, that didn't mean others had- and clearly it had been enough to cause hopekid to become a shambling wreck. Yamato would have to understand- this was something Alcor had to help with.]
Makoto Naegi?
no subject
You know this person?
[DISDAAAAAIN]
no subject
Take THAT I mean Alcor was at least trying to offer help, okay? Even if Yamato would never take it because of his pride, it was an honest statement.
"It isn't good to lock yourself in, Yamato. I want to show you some things that are not horrible."
Implying heavily that there are few of them.
no subject
Peasant."This entire tower is stupid. I do not want to be shown anything within it, because it would be stupid too."
no subject
Alcor, as he is often one to do, had followed the melody to it's source. Even with a small smile on his face, he was at least apprehensive enough to know better than to risk aggravating the situation...but he also couldn't leave sleeping dogs lie, apparently.
It was only a little, reciprocated tune, but he did hum back at the piano's reverberating feelings as a means of greeting.
no subject
Hmmm...
Yamato frowned when Alcor hummed back at the music, and lifted his sleeve to his mouth as he grumbled lowly in his throat, half-tempted to mimic him, but deciding not to after some thought. He didn't feel like it, mutter mutter...
no subject
This is Yamato Hotsuin, my child, ab incunabulis.
[Since everyone else seemed to assume Yamato was his biological child and not, well, "adopted".]
Floor 48
The energy he senses makes him pause, however, and he turns to greet Alcor.
"... Ah. Alcor. And Yamto as well. Hello there."
no subject
Who's this?
[He says quite rudely]
no subject
"Also, pumpkin seeds are within the tower." Don't think he didn't notice your enamored state with them, okay.
no subject
Yamato scowled and turned his noise up, even stamping his feet for a few steps to show his obvious irritation. As he was wearing geta, this made a loud cracking noise whenever the wooden teeth struck the floor.
"Fine. Most things are stupid within this tower, with a few exceptions, that being myself and the pumpkin seeds."
YEAH. YOU'RE NOT AN EXCEPTION. YOU DUMB DUMB.
Re: Floor 48
"I should not be surprised that you two are already acquainted." Seriously, it just sort of made sense like that. "To whom are you tending, Naoya?"
no subject
"Hello, Al Suha-- Yamato." Just gonna smile and nod as if nooooothing happened.
no subject
COMMENCING BRATTY IGNORING.
no subject
"Only you and pumpkin seeds? There are other things, I'm sure." He pretended to ponder, but not for too long. "Your clothes, for example."
no subject
Er.
Naoya stands and brushes the dirt off of his hands and clothes. "Someone whose name has been lost to the flow of time. I'm all too familiar with that state... so I thought at least someone should tend to them."
Too many lives and names that had been blotted out completely. It wasn't fair, and he wouldn't stand for it.
"What are you two doing today?"
no subject
"...and my clothes- and my geta, before you say anything else."
no subject
Your father and I are well acquainted, and share similar passions for knowledge. It is a pleasure to meet you.
[And to Alcor:]
I believe some congratulations are in order. You are quite fortunate to have been reunited.
no subject
"You did not have to stop. The music was soothing in it's way." Expressing emotion through other medium- he knew humans did that, but the star had never considered trying such himself. Maybe it'd help with his nasty I WILL UNMAKE YOU problem.
He turned his gaze down to Yamato, ruffling his hair. "Are you busy, Jun? I wanted to show Yamato something, but...wasn't quite sure I could replicate it alone."
no subject
I'm quite glad, even if it has been a trial in other ways. [Obvious ways. Tower being the tower and all.] I am seeking to bestow upon him a list of people who would not, to be crass, remove his head or anything of the sort.
no subject
Although he was peering at Jun suspiciously from the corner of his eye. Remember - Alcor is his so don't be too friendly with him, Jun, or face the wrath of a possessive child Hotsuin!
no subject
How did you two meet?
[Time for rude, probing questions hour - and Yamato shifting a bit closer to Alcor to hold onto his pants leg in a clear show of 'this is mine B|'. He doesn't want to share his caretaker okay]
no subject
"...an unfortunate truth, though I commend you for it." He had always tried to remember the otherwise forgotten, but...it was a hard thing to do. Instinctively, he gripped Yamato's hand a little tighter.
"I was trying to investigate the new floors, as well as showing Yamato around more properly, as things have calmed somewhat." He glanced down at said kid, frowning a little. "Please, do not be rude Yamato. Naoya is a dear friend of mine."
no subject
Okay, Yamato's dislike simply intensified. Anyone 'dear' to Alcor was deemed a threat to Yamato's place in Alcor's list of priorities. He liked being first place, and he wasn't quite used to 'sharing' his caretaker yet.
He glanced at Naoya from the corner of his eye, letting out a small grunt that could've meant anything before resuming his ignoring.
no subject
"... Hey."
no subject
So needless to say he was pretty OK with not playing and helping Alcor with whatever it is he wanted. And you know, ignoring Yamato's drilling looks of suspicion.
"Sure, I can help. But what with...?"
no subject
He could see that jealousy a mile away.
"Did you stay mostly out of harm's way last month, Alcor?"
no subject
[Of course his own "family" is quite capable of defending themselves... when they're not instigating trouble on their own...]
I believe your father was investigating the pool.
no subject
yes
hes doin it
hes doin this thing
"But, I am not sure I remember how to hook them up. That part of my memory is...fuzzy, at best."
no subject
Yamato tuned better into the conversation, glancing up at his caretaker with a frown. "You can play the guitar?"
He never knew that.
no subject
He nodded. "Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem...!"
And rather than take the initiative and explain to the kid about the bodyswap situation, Jun was going to leave that task to Alcor and instead get up from the piano seat and go over to inspect one of the electric guitars that was closest to the kind that Tatsuya played, setting up the amp and making sure it was tuned and playable. Or at least as much as his skills could afford, he was a pianist not a guitarist after all.
floor 48.
Sonic the Hedgehog
19?? - ????
Shadow's fingers trailed over the engraved text, disbelief finally having worn down from his features, leaving him staring blankly at the name and reading it over and over again. To think that, such a short while ago, he'd wanted him dead, yet once they finally forged an alliance, he wanted to... protect him. Battling that Biolizard, he shoved him to the side whenever he was too weak to go on, looking to defend him from further harm. He used most of his power during that Chaos Control, and while he would have fallen either way, he kept Sonic from enduring the same fate.
Now he was gone - at least, according to this mysterious tower grave - and he felt as if he'd failed him.
Just as he did Maria.
He felt so much mixed emotion twirling within his mind, yet he felt as if all ability to feel had gone from him physically, leaving him as an empty shell. He wasn't angry, he wasn't regretful, he wasn't proud, he wasn't upset, he wasn't mourning, he wasn't celebrating, and he just plain wasn't feeling anything. All he could condense it to was feeling horrible, yet lost, leaving him in a form of living, walking stasis, much like when he was locked in a tube for fifty years.
He remained crouched down next to the grave, his expression unwavering as he gave a haunting whisper to a hedgehog who will never hear him:
"I will never forget you."
Care to approach this angst-bucket?
SORRY I'M SO LATE
...
[There's just a nod from him.]
