Summary: Saki's trying to learn how to sew! She's also eating the cream puffs she got as a regain! Won't you join her?

[If you want new clothes, you'll have to make them. Which is a bummer for people who don't know how to sew, so here's Saki, sitting either in the cafeteria or the workshop teaching herself. She's got a few bandages since she keeps pricking her fingers, but she's getting better. She's following a pattern, and she's been catching on, so the work isn't too sloppy. This also isn't her first attempt, either, so she's a lot better than her last scrapped attempt!

Every now and then she'll stop and eat a cream puff from a box of them set to the side. A regain that she needs to do something with.]

Cafeteria

[ Today, Sayaka starts her daily routine by heading to the cafeteria for breakfast. There is an afternoon of physical training next, so she's got to eat nutrient food before she can do anything at all.

Just as she goes to pick the food, though, she notices a girl who's trying to sew all by herself. It's not hard to notice the band aids all over her fingers. She must be a beginner... Sayaka isn't a professional sewer, but she taught herself how to fix her own clothes as her career in showbiz picked up. It's something she grew to like.

With a soft smile, she walks over to where the girl is sitting, addressing her politely while setting her tray with food on a free space on the table. ]

Hello, miss. If I'm not disturbing, may I ask what you're sewing?

[With wanting to advertise herself, she had to make sure the pieces she'd chosen to be first were complete and looking acceptable to her eyes. She does notice the girl, and her curiosity turns to a warm smile when she notices what she's doing.]

*The weather's getting colder, and while Enoch can handle the cold without one, it's a nice distraction to have, to make a cloak. Nothing that closes too tightly, mind, since he may need the mobility, and nothing with a lining that will snag. And a hood, out of habit. It's a quiet security, having other people working steadily. After a little while, he looks up at the other.*

I wonder if others already have their clothes for the winter.

[It's said with a bit of a laugh. She fully admits she's not all the good at sewing yet, so she's not sure this will turn out, actually.]

I wasn't even thinking about that. I guess it's good I'm learning to sew, huh?

Yeah... The last thing I tried to make... Let's just say I might have to cut it up and use it as scrap.

[TALK ABOUT A DISASTER. Anyway, she'll set her sewing to the side for a moment and pick up a cream puff... And then offer the box to Juliet.]

[ She sits down across her. ]

It's looking like a good one. [ Small compliment, to break the ice. ] Is it for yourself?

Yeah. If I can teach myself how to sew, then I can make my own clothes. That way, I don't have to keep wearing the same few things.

[Saki will set it aside for the moment to give her fingers a rest. Poor things, she's pricked them so many times!]

*Enoch's time works against him here, of course. Nearly everyone knew at least basic mending, and while he didn't think of women as "worth" less than men thanks to a combination of his kindheartedness and his time in Heaven, there were skills that he didn't think one wouldn't pick up just for the way most societies he'd lived in were...*
