6th Recipe - Scrambled Eggs [Open]

Summary: Finding the issue with the languages, Kazumi decides to use the universal language: food!

[Kazumi had never really thought that much before about the fact that everyone here could talk to each other... but now, suddenly they can't! Somehow, the Tower sounds noisier than ever as all the talking becomes a cacophony of different languages. Still, people would need to eat so... maybe they could all agree on that at least, without a need for words? Whipping up an array of dishes - casserole, curry, pastas... all unfortunately kind of orange due to the weird food dye this month - Kazumi was keeping busy. Of course, the newest addition to the kitchen wasn't helping]

Ah, Toto! Don't play with that!

[Unfortunately, the cat didn't understand Japanese any better than the kitchen workers today, so the scruffy black critter was happy to push over the canister of sugar and spill it all over the floor.]

[Saki's words come out in Cantonese, and that's frustrating. At least she's thought to bring a notepad and a pen with her. She attempts to write down what she means, at least.

[Kazumi is scooping the cat out of the mess but she has to stop when her friend starts speaking Cantonese at her]

[ Homura came to grab herself a snack and finds herself somewhere between being glad to see Kazumi and upset. She knows she needs to get to know this girl, so that she may have a possible future ally in the fellow Puella Magi, but doesn't want to cross the border between "ally" and "friend". ]

[ Sayaka is by now aware that there's something weird going on, and she can't talk with some people except her own classmates. As such, she's got to suit herself and look for people who speak either Japanese or English.

Once she enters the kitchen, she's startled by the sudden noise of something dropping to the ground. Heading over to the kitchen, curious but wary about the dangers that are possible to happen in this tower, she grabs the handle of her knife holsted on her leg and proceeds along.

... Her fears pretty much fade out when she sees the sugar all over the floor, a kitty, and a girl who's speaking her language. ]

[Seeing what that cat did, Colette feels sorry for poor Kazumi and decides to help. So she says, in Fonic] Oh, no! I'll help you clean that up!

[Whereas Saber isn't affected by the language thing, she does speak Japanese.]

When did you acquire the cat? I do not remember you having it before.

[America was drawn in by the scent of food, which was in general a good way of attracting him. He peeks into the cafeteria before slowly making his way toward the girl and her cat, watching curiously.]

[Kazumi laughs sheepishly as she picks up the cat, who unhelpfully flails its limbs, flinging sugar around]

[A bit flustered for what to do, Kazumi just kind of waves her hands a bit before deciding to at least first pick up the cat so he doesn't make a bigger mess]

[Rosa had just noticed the cacophony of confused foreign languages echoing around the Tower. However, she believes the cafeteria workers would understand her if she pointed to what she wanted.]

[Scooping up the cat, she moves between America and the sugar]

Please stay over there for a moment, I need to clean this up!

Oh, hello! Sorry about the mess...

[Kazumi hurriedly scoops up the cat, looking for where she can put him with his sugary paws so she can clean up]

[She notices the girl's garb.]

[Thankfully, they were both speaking Japanese.]

[ Aw, look at them paws. Sayaka relaxes visibly, joining her hands together, and smiling openly. ]

[Saki's trying to get her words to come out in Japanese this time, but this time, they sound like they went into Google Translate in Japanese and came out in Spanish.

[Kazumi giggles at that, and more as Toto reaches up to paw at her face. It's a good thing Satomi tamed him to be a lot nicer...]

[Kazumi is so confused... she looks over at the piece of paper though trying to figure it out... well, if red is bad then...]

Wait, can you understand me?

Heheh, thank you... and yeah, that would be a big help! Or maybe if you could just hold onto him while I get it?

[She holds out the cat for her to take. Toto stops flailing so much and looks over curiously at the stranger, tail flicking back and forth]

Yeah, he is! He just arrived here recently...

Eheh, sort of! I mean, I'm down here to cook a lot of days... my name's Kazumi! And this is Toto. [She takes one of Toto's paws to make him wave at the woman]
