[Saber had asked Ruler to meet her in the lounge and was waiting by the windows. Looking out, there were many thing occupying her thoughts, but only a few would concern the other Servant.]

[Jeanne probably should have been suspicious. Being contacted without any sort of explanation as to why Saber wishes to meet up, and considering how their last encounter ended on someone less than pleasant circumstances...

Well. Okay. She was a bit cautious. But something tells her that this might be pointless fretting on her side. Even so, she keeps her distance for the moment, at least until Saber acknowledges her presence.]

You wished to speak with me?

[Saber's head turns a bit as she feels a Servant's presence draw near to make sure it was Ruler. Once she identified the women, her gaze returned to the window.]

I do. There are a couple things regarding Rider's upcoming symposium we need to discuss. Join me, please.

[It was almost as if they'd never crossed blades in the graveyard.]

[She lets out a somewhat heavy sigh as she approaches, the only thing giving away the stress she's been feeling over the thought of that meeting.]

I'm glad that you voiced your concerns. To be honest, I approve of the theory behind it - attempting to draft up some sort of truce, unless your theory should be correct and a new War starts here... but I fear the execution. There is no possible way for every single Master and Servant in this tower to meet without something going wrong.

Rider, Archer and I held one of these in the middle of the Forth War. It was... very interesting to openly discuss the Holy Grail and our individual ideals regarding it and we all revealed our identities and wishes. There was at least one master present and we were all civil, enjoying Archer's wine as we spoke.

[Saber kept her eyes on the scene outside the window as she recalled that time.] We were interrupted by Assassin, but that Servant did not survive the glory and power of Rider's Noble Phantasm.

[faithstaynight]

[Ah, yes. She had known the three Servants were together prior to the fight - if it could even be called that! - between Rider and Assassin. But she hadn't known what had happened before. It wasn't really important information the Grail had permitted her to see.]

... But you do not believe this meeting will play out as well as that one. [It's not really a question. That seems to be what Saber's getting at...]

Three kings can hold a civil discussion, even with a few masters present. We all had experience in using words over blades, but you will find some of the other Servants do not have that experience nor are most masters of the same caliber of souls as we three kings.

[Saber fell silent for a moment.]

The masters fight amongst themselves and there are Servants that wish ill to certain masters. Only one of those Servants has stayed her blade in regards to that. [But she always had more honor than Archer; she didn't understand his hatred of Shirou.]

Rider has already stated who has the right to attend this symposium and who does not. You and I must take measures to ensure it is as safe as if can be with that number of master and servants together. Your concern should be Ryuunosuke Uryuu, master of Caster.

[faithstaynight]

I will gladly do whatever I can to keep everyone who attends safe. And, if I must, I will intervene if any fighting should break out. [It's still a strange concept for her, but still...] Though I still remain neutral, stopping a fight for the sake of the safety of all the others involved in this meeting is something I can most certainly do.

[And, of course, a frown crosses Jeanne's face at the mention of that man...] Do you think he might attend and try to cause trouble?

I am certain he will attend, but it not his mischief you must be concerned about but his safety. There are many masters that would deny him his rights as one because he is not a magus.

And yet, he summoned Caster. [Saber's eyes narrow just a slight bit as mentions the other Servant.] Therefore, even without Caster present, he is still a master and by Rider's decree to attend.

But others will not agree. Waver Velvet for one.

[faithstaynight]

[A shadow crosses Jeanne's face at the mention of Caster. It's not the spark of anger that Saber might hold, but it's... something. She can't help but feel conflicted each time her fallen friend is brought up.]

He seems to have no desire to participate in the war, nor does he seem to particularly care about the conflict between magi in general. Are you really so sure he'll wish to attend?

[If he thinks it'll be amusing, that would probably be why...] Even so. I said I would be making sure nobody comes to harm during this meeting. If he wishes to attend, then my protection extends to him as well, no matter how anyone might feel.

Rider has promised 'snacks'. He will attend.

[Saber falls silent for a moment before looking back over at Ruler.]

I will not be attending. I ask that you relay what was spoken of, the positions of all involved and any decisions made. And I strongly urge you to not let Shirou Emiya ramble on should he inevitably feel the need to open his mouth.

[Color her a bit surprised. Saber's the one that seemed most into the possibility of another Grail War starting, so it seems a little strange that she wouldn't attend.

Even so, Jeanne's not going to try prying where she knows she's not welcome.]

Don't worry, I'll be sure to fill you in on anything of worth that might be said or done during this meeting. But... [She looks confused.] Is there a reason you don't wish for him to speak?

[Emiya... that name rang a bell, but she can't understand why...]

It is not that he should not speak, but that if left to speak well beyond when he should shut his mouth and listen to others he has the tendency to compromise himself or offend others. My former master is not the brightest. Dedicated, yes, but not bright.

[Saber looks back at the window.]

I know you are curious, so this is all I will say regarding my absence: I will be occupied at the time keeping all of the masters attending it safe from the one that fully intends on doing them harm. Consider it a bit of self-sacrifice, but I want your word of honor that you will not speak to any others that you are aware that I shall not be there.

[faithstaynight]

... I see. I will be sure to keep my focus on the others as he speaks, then, to watch and make sure he is not crossing any of them.

[It might be hard, with how different each and every one of the Masters and Servants in this tower are, but she'll do no less than her best.

A small smile crosses her face at that. It's good to see that, despite how different Saber seems from how she was in her Grail-given memories, she still has a firm grasp on her honor.]

Of course. I swear to you that I will not speak to anyone of your actions, nor will I mention this meeting at all, should you wish for me to stay silent.

[Turning to meet Ruler's eyes, Saber looked up at the other Servant. She stared for a long moment before nodding.]

I will be informing Rider of my planned absence. No one else should know we have spoken on this matter. Thank you.

[faithstaynight]

[She holds that gaze as Saber speaks, only breaking it to offer a small bow after the other Servant finishes.]

You're quite welcome. Was that all you wished to discuss?

Yes. I have nothing further. Do you?

I do not. I suppose that means this meeting is over?
