Summary: The Princess of Hyrule going about her days while trying not to freeze to death.

Floor 3 or 19
[The libraries might as well have become a second home for Zelda with all the time she has spent there recently. Ever since Ruana (and to a lesser extent, Dax) took to the network, she has been pouring over book after book, network post after network post, trying to make sense of the things she said. Of course, any success is limited at best, and for the most part, the only fruit of her labor thus far has been a stack of notes with more questions than answers contained within.

Still, the search gives her focus and drive - things she had been terribly lacking in since... the end of June, really. And perhaps that's the most valuable thing Ruana gave her that day - not information, but a will to do more than merely endure.

In any case, if you're looking for one long-eared princess, you are most likely to find her here, surrounded by her books and notes.]

Floor 25 (For bow_of_the_galadhrim and maybe friends?)
[Of course, that is not to say she does nothing else with her time. Sometime before the chaos of October and everything else, Legolas said the elven swords he was having crafted for her were ready, and they could begin training. Sure, it's cold now and getting colder, but it's peaceful for the moment (well, for some definition of peaceful), and she needs to learn eventually.

So, looking more like a pirate than a princess in Tetra's mother's (her descendant's?) long coat and her hair tied up in a ribbon, she waits on the meadow floor for the Prince of Mirkwood. At least there's no snow on this floor.]

Floor 14
[And sometimes even she needs a break, though loathe she is to admit it. She doesn't frequent the media floor often - even after nearly a year's time in the Tower, most of the technology there is beyond her. But she does know how one piece of electronic machinery works (though don't ask her what it's called), thanks to a girl who's long since vanished from the tower walls. And it's that piece of machinery that's currently serenading her with the sounds of a certain British classic rock band as she curls up on a couch nearby, wrapped in the fluffy comforter she got as a "prize" for participating in Halloween's "game".

Pass by at just the right moment, and she might even appear to be asleep. Even back in Hyrule, music was always there to provide a temporary escape from life's hardships, and it's so easy to get lost in it...]

Floor 32
[And sometimes, given the high levels of stress inherent to the situation, it is necessary to take "taking a break" a little further.

Look up into the trees on the forest floor, and you might see a blur of blue and grey hopping from branch to branch, disturbing and sprinkling the snow that's accumulated there in its wake.

Investigate?]

[Honestly, Jeanne didn't spend much time in the libraries. With how often strange things happened in the tower, any chances she might have had at reading lessons were more or less nixed. Since they were indefinitely on hold for now, that meant there was no reason for her to be spending time on floors that were of no use to her!

But still... the libraries were quiet. And with everything going on lately, she could use a little quiet.

... That probably won't last long, though. Not when, during her slow stroll between the shelves, she spots a familiar face. With a small smile, she approaches.]

You seem quite busy, princess.

[sageprincess]

[And at the familiar voice, she looks up with a smile of her own.]

That would likely be because I am. Trying to make sense of all the recent information we have been afforded is no easy task.

[And yet, there's a certain spark behind her eyes that has been rare at best lately. One might even say she almost looks like she's enjoying having work to do.

Of course, she doesn't know that her words are likely confusing at best to her friend. Whoops...]

[Floor 14]

[Before Zelda drifts off, another woman will approach her. To Zelda, she may seem vaguely familiar; more often than not she could be seen poking her head into the dormitory room that the Hylian occupied, looking for and sometimes leading away Saber. Maybe she waved once or twice, or offered a quick "hello!", but she's never said more than that.

But that's going to change! If Irisviel is going to be trapped here, she might as well make the best of it. And that meant trying to get along with people she might be interacting with often.

And so she approaches, a look of curiosity crossing her face.]

That's quite an interesting song.

[Oh, right... she knew there had been a bit of a commotion, but she never really found out what exactly happened. A look of confusion crossed her face.]

Just what was revealed? I'm aware that whatever it was seemed to be important, but... I was unable to see exactly what it was.

floor 19

[Given that he had been through something both frustrating and absolutely humiliating, Lancer needed some way to relax. All of his beer had already been consumed, so he decided on the next best thing--puffing on a cigarette in a nice and secluded place.]

[The library served quite well. Hopefully the other resident won't mind him filling the room with smoke.]

[Zelda opens her eyes, blinking once or twice as they adjust to the light before turning her attention to the not-quite-familiar woman. Saber's friend?

Well, she likes Saber, so she'll be friendly. She nods.]

It is, is it not? There is no music quite like it in my world, but I find it rather pleasant, all the same.

[That, and there are more than a few memories wrapped up in these melodies, but she doesn't need to bore this woman with that.]

[Well, the number of terminals within the Tower is rather lacking, considering how many now reside within it. And with the way the main post was deleted shortly after its appearance, she doesn't think much of Jeanne's confusion.]

Ruana - the administrator in charge of all of the others - appeared on the network, along with what seemed to be... recordings for a lack of a better word.

[She purses her lips slightly, as if merely speaking of what happened sends her into deep thought.]

What she said then has proven to be both enlightening and infuriatingly cryptic.

[Irisviel offers a smile in return, and - hoping she's not being a bit too forward - takes a seat nearby.]

That's one of the most interesting things about this tower, isn't it? We're all from vastly different worlds, yet we can still find ways to connect somehow.

[faithstaynight]

[Ah, yes... she's heard of Ruana. Not much, of course - she only knows that she is the one of highest authority within the tower - but still... it's a little frustrating, that she missed something so important, but there's no use getting upset over it now.]

The way you say such things... I'm unable to determine whether that is good or bad. Which is it?

[sageprincess]

[... Um. Yes, after a while, she does mind. It's hard to think when you're coughing, after all, and that's what she's desperately attempting to do.

After trying to deal with it and failing, she eventually begins searching for the source of the smoke, coming across Lancer in short order. Despite their informative talk earlier, she looks unimpressed.]

Forgive me for seeming rude-- [Though not really.] --but is that necessary here? There is an open floor not one flight above this one.

[Taro grins as he steps into the room and hears the music. He recognizes that music instantly. He walks closer to Zelda, and leans against the back of the couch.]

Queen? Nice choice.

[If Zelda's offended, she doesn't look or say as much.]

Hm, I suppose. There are precious few things to be grateful for in this place, but I am glad I have been able to meet the people and hear the things I have during my time here.

One cannot help but wonder, though, what it will be like to return home after seeing and hearing all the things we have.

[Because she will find a way home, she will, but in doing so... she will be alone once more. Hmm.]

[He looks over at her, the cigarette still in his mouth.]

Too many people there.

That... I cannot truly decide.

[The purse of her lips becomes a frown, because as much as she likes having something to focus on, it's still frustrating to come face to face with the fact that there is only so much she can do with the information she's given.]

She told us quite a bit about herself, considering we knew little to nothing about her before, and she spoke a bit about the Tower's history. But... there were certain key things that she adamantly refused to answer, things I think would help explain why this place is the way it is.

I suppose, as it stands, it is good in that it is more information than we had before, but bad in that I have yet to find any practical use for said information.

[Huff.]

[sageprincess]

[And, in turn, she cranes her neck back, looking at him half-sideways and half-upside down. ... She's comfy, okay. Moving would require losing some of that precious body heat she's got stored under her blanket.]

I am glad you approve. It is not familiar to me, but it is nice to listen to.

[sageprincess]

I do not suppose you would be willing to move anywhere else, would you.

[puppy_lancer]

[He takes the cigarette from his mouth, twirling it a little and letting the smoke form a loop in the air.]

What? You don't like this smoke?

[wirefu]

[Ah... the smile on Irisviel's face doesn't change at all, but something sort of... fades, in her eyes.]

I'm sure it will be quite the experience. Any knowledge or skills we gained here could greatly change the way things might have originally played out, had we stayed in our own worlds.

Floor 25 obviously

[Legolas carried the swords he'd had made for her, carefully wrapped in the cloak, as he joined her on the meadow floor. His own were put away against his back and he was dressed as casually as possible without feeling too much of the chill. It didn't bother him but better to be prepared.]

Prompt as always, my lady.

[He grinned when he spotted her and set the bundle down, glancing around. Maybe they could make a couple fires to make things more comfortable or once they were done.]

The best way to use information you gain isn't always immediately obvious. For now, simply filing it away is the best thing to do, I think.

She frowns a bit, staring at the pile of notes.] I hate to say it, but... it will likely quite some time until we can put whatever it was that you and the others learned to good use. If the information was vital at all, the other administrators are likely going to be watching us - and the network - much more carefully from now on.

Floor 19

*Was there a brown robed figure there a second ago, Zelda? Probably not, but there is now, and the tilt of his mask implies he's looking at one of the books she's collected.*

Trying to do some research?

Not particularly, no, I must say.

[She resists the urge to fan the smoke away from her face.]

With any luck.

[If she can change Hyrule's fate... she wants nothing more. However, she shakes her head, as if to clear it, then smiles more brightly, turning slightly towards Irisviel's.]

Forgive me, such heavy subjects are not fit for a first meeting. You are a friend of Saber's, yes? My name is Zelda.

I'm pretty familiar with the band. I saw them a few times in concert, actually.

[Of course, he didn't pay - but illusions were good for sneaking into places for things other than robberies, too.]

That is the thing, though; I do not think the other administrators know of what happened to Ruana at all. They might very well be as much in the dark regarding her as the rest of us.

[Filing the information away for later might be best, but it gives her something else to think about aside from the tragedy of their situation. She flips through a few pages of her notes, finger tracing a few lines.]

Both Ruana and Dax said that she is much older than the other administrators, and Dax told me he could not explain why... well, why she is the way she is. Childlike, yet sadistic. [Ah, found the line.] She even said once that, "They do not know a lot of the things I know. Do not be too mad at them."

... You are right, I know it, but... [She wants to understand.]
