intro
Characters: Marta Lualdi and anyone else--maybe even you!
Setting: Hallways.
Format: Prose or action, I'm cool with either.
Summary: Marta isn't quite ready to accept that whole "your world has been destroyed" business, but hey, who would be?
Warnings: Marta is a terrible litter bug. :(a
Marta had read the letter once, twice--and a third time now as she walked down the hallway. As though waking up in an complete stranger's room, in the ugliest clothes she'd ever seen (and she didn't even want to think about the implications behind THAT) hadn't been enough, she was supposed to believe that her entire world was destroyed? That Emil, Daddy, everyone was gone? And that she had somehow been transported to another world that everyone had somehow been unaware of until now?
"...What a joke." Marta rolled her eyes as she finished looking it over, crumpling up the paper into a ball. That's right. This was just some kind of stupid prank. The whole point of her and Emil's journey was to save the world and they'd succeeded and even if they hadn't, she wasn't anywhere near important enough to be saved. This was probably just some creep's idea of a joke, maybe somebody who was still chasing after Ratatosk's core.
Not that she had it anymore, but she guessed that some people never gave up. Shrugging at the futility of it all, she tossed the paper ball over her shoulder as she went along. It wasn't like she needed it. There was no way anybody'd fall for such an obvious lie.
