Setting: A few different floors around the tower.
Format: Either works.
Summary: Ken's taking care of a few of his normal, self-imposed 'chores'/daily tasks. That doesn't mean he's going to go undisturbed during them, though!
Warnings: Possible language because Strega, otherwise nothing.


[Floor 1]

[While it isn't something he thinks he's best at, Ken is decent at cooking. Someone might catch him in the morning making eggs, or in the evenings making stew, sometimes throwing in some meat that he's managed to catch on the forest level. ... It's almost always a bit burnt due to killing it with electrical attacks, but it's edible at least.]



[Floor 3]

[Even though he doesn't have to read anything serious, Ken can often be found in the late mornings and early afternoons in the library, reading. Sometimes it's fiction - usually fantastical with a minimum of science involved - but more and more often he can be seen with a paper and pencil and a large and very confusing-looking book. It's less the sort of book that an eleven year old should be reading and more of a book that you squash bugs with if they're giant and huge.]

[Upon further inspection, the book can be revealed as a law book, though if the contents are to be read without Ken snapping the book away the person in question will have to either be very sneaky or approach the book on the frequent occasion that Ken gets up to find a dictionary again. He really should just keep it with him.]



[Floor 30]

[Ken can be found on this floor, too. Yes, the monsters on the level are dangerous, but Ken makes frequent retreats to the stairs. He's not dumb enough to get caught in a giant rush of monsters again hopefully, but he's not taking it easy, either. Sometimes he needs to sit down and rest for a few minutes before trying again, and this is probably a good chance to try to talk to him.]

[Tohko was a librarian, so she noticed the boy reading in the library quite a bit..and noticed the fact that he got up and looked in the dictionary quite a bit as well. After watching him a few times, she'll just take the dictionary and put it down on the table he's sitting at. She'll look pretty happy about it though.]

Here you are! You seem to be getting up to use the dictionary a lot, so why don't you just keep it with you until you're done reading, alright?

Floor 30

[Guess what lucky guy the staircase falls out from under? This guy. This guy right here.

Itachi lands on floor 30, looking completely composed despite being taken by surprise, and immediately twirls around to send a flurry of flaming shuriken in all directions. The attack seems quick and brutal, but none of his weapons even come close to hitting the other Tower resident on the floor. A circle of monsters collapse all around him, and Itachi stands up straight, as calm as if he'd planned the entire thing. He hadn't, of course, but defending himself is second nature to him.

He only has time to glance at Ken before he whirls around and kicks another charging monster across the floor.]

Floor 3

[Romeo was lucky enough to approach Ken and the book just as Ken was returning with a dictionary, but Ken doesn't need to worry, if Ken needs a dictionary to read it Romeo's got no chance even with his lessons from Tohko.

He's only just managing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after all.] Hello Ken! What're you reading?

Floor 3

[Minato missed the luxury of having the time to read books. After his return, his walk lead him towards the library.

As he browse the selections, he noticed Ken and a rather looking book. Relief at seeing Ken again - different world or not - curiosities about the book was what, and considering the young boy as his friend made Minato walked over to him.]

Are you studying, Ken?

[Floor 1] [//horribly late]

[Nanako was hungry, and something delicious was coming from the cafeteria. Which was strange, considering that it had been an all vegetarian menu since the start of the month. Clearly, she needed to investigate.]

[That was why she was creeping around the cafeteria in her detective's cloak, her Loveline spyglass clutched in her hand, her stomach rumbling more than once the closer she got to see what was going on with the food...]

Floor 30

[Ryoji had ventured up to those floors a few times himself. After Rei had shown him just how the monsters could be killed, he was determined to keep an eye on them, make sure no one got caught in a bad situation.

He stands at the foot of the stairs, glances in, and spots Ken. Oh, nothing to worry about then, Ken can handle himself-

Wait... that's Ken! Before he can stop himself, he calls out.]

Ken-kun!

[Don't mind Chidori leaning over the cooking pot of that stew, Ken. She's just wondering what all is going on in there, and making sure there isn't anything untoward going on with it. Stupid tower-induced paranoia. She leans back after a moment, and then tips her head curiously at him.]

Where did you get meat for it? Hunting?

[While Ken's reading in the library, he may hear a man's voice muttering] Ngggh.....is there nothing in this library that is even vaguely relevant to this ghastly tower? [If Ken looks up, he'll see a man in a fabulous suit, putting away a random book away carefully and sighing in frustration.]
