004 ~ Idrial of Lothlorien

Setting: Room 03-11 and wandering around the corridors, late afternoon/night

Summary: Idrial finally leaves her room again
Warnings: Violence/fights likely

[Room 03-11]

[Idrial has not left her room for almost a month now. Of course she leaves for her collar checks and to eat but apart from that...well, it seems her roommates will have seen a lot of her. When she had been killed by that creature of darkness last month she had ended up in her bed, waking up not too long after her death. She had not felt like leaving since. But she has had enough now of being cooped up in this room.]

I think it is finally time for me to go out there once more. [Try and stop her? It is the dead of night after all, who knows what could be out there.]

[Around the Tower]

[Yes, she finally left her room. Those who know Idrial might have been worried about her since she has not seen anyone for more than a few weeks. They might even have thought that she'd left the Tower completely. But no she had died and she hadn't felt like leaving her room since her reincarnation. Until now.

Of course she would chose the middle of the night to wander. Who knows what could be out here now. She has no idea what has been happening in the Tower either except for her few visits to the cafeteria where she had hoped to see the arrival of someone familiar.

She hears a movement in the darkness and she is glad she had decided to bring her bow with her as she points an arrow in the direction of the noise. A monster or simply another resident?]

[ Damn, everyone here is on edge. That there's another out here late at night isn't totally unexpected. But really, Adachi had just been on his way back from the bathroom! ] Uh. Hel...lo?

[ He scratches the back of his head, trying to give something of a smile. It might just come off as creepy in this darkness. ]

Woah, woah, it's okay!

[Labrys raised metal hands in defense and stepped back quickly, trying to show she wasn't about to attack.]

Sorry. I wasn't tryin' to startle ya.

[ Though it's clearly a woman, there's a figure standing at the other end of the hall. Though it's impossible to distinguish her facial features; she has a black cloak on which obscures those pretty well. She has a large gun in one hand, and the other appears to have some kind of armor on it. She looks like something from a weird sci fi with that outfit on, particularly because she's only got a dress on under that cloak.

Too bad she couldn't bring the badass armor with her.

She points the gun up in the air as soon as she sees it's another human that she's looking at. She's not going to unarm herself, and she can shoot faster than that primitive weapon to begin with. ]

Just a fellow inmate! I know I startled you, I was just in the middle of shooting down some of the monsters to see what they're made of.

[He's never one to turn down a fight.....ever. Then again, he's always practically asking for it.]

[ it's bound to be hard to sleep when one of your roommates constantly glows. worse when she's had troubled sleep herself since arriving. she sits up in her bed when idrial speak and levels her with a frown. ]

I'm told it's dangerous to wander out too late. Might be best to wait until morning.

[Well, it would be different if everyone around here was on edge for no reason. Unfortunately, Idrial has more than enough reason to be wary. Idrial's not close to him but her eyes are well adjusted to the dark and she can see him clearly.

[At the raise of the lands and the exclamations that come from the woman's lips Idrial will slowly lower her weapon. She is still wary though, her eyes taking the other woman in and also flicking around the dark corridor for any other signs of life.]

[The woman who is standing at the end of the corridor looks like nothing she has ever seen before and it makes her even more wary. She keeps the arrow pointed in her direction as her elven eyes try to make her out. The fact that the woman points that gun in her direction means that she will not lower her own weapon in the slightest.

She edges forward slowly though the words make her slightly less wary.]

Apologies...

[Speaking of monsters one appears just behind the woman and Idrial releases an arrow. Even though she is far away it hits the monster square in the chest, knocking it dead.] And what did you find?

I do not attack unless I am certain there is a threat.

[He does not seem like any of the other foul creatures that can be found among the Tower at night. In fact, he just looks like a fellow inmate to this place. She is not looking for a fight, the bow is only to defend herself after all.

Though she doesn't lower it.]

[Labrys gave an affirming nod, silver-blue ponytail bouncing and mechanisms whirring as she did.]

That's why I'm here. See, I don't sleep--at night I walk around makin' sure there ain't anybody caught in a corner by those kinds of things.

[ He waves his toothbrush at at her. ] Oh, yeah, I'm sure... A simple walk to the bathroom later, and you could end up dead.

Keep that pointed at me and you're gonna have a threat. You got it?

[A moment after she calls out, a ball of light begins to spin into existence, more dim than bright - Jellal has no intention of blinding himself or Idrial.

He bows his head lightly in a apology.]

I'm apologize; I did not mean to startle you.

[It does not seem to bother Idrial. She does not need to sleep as often as others do, being an Elf. She usually just sits on the bed and looks at the necklace, a gift from the Lady Galadriel which hangs around her neck. She looks up though at the voice and she shakes her head.]

...I do not fear the foul creatures that wander the corridors at night. I have been in here for too long already, I must leave.

[ her nose wrinkles and she screws up her lips as her eyes wander elsewhere. ] Okay, well those may both be things that are true, but your wandering out there would still seem like a considerably stupid idea.

[At the light Idrial takes another step backwards. It even takes her eyes a little longer to adjust than usual but once they do and he speaks she lowers her bow slowly. The light and the bow of his head persuaded her that he was no danger to her.

She will pause a moment before bowing her own head.]

And I apologize for the same. I did not expect to see anyone out at this time of the night.

[There is a pause as she takes Labrys in and the words that come from her mouth. Well, Idrial cannot say anything bad about someone who is only out to protect the people of the Tower from the horrors that reside in it's corridors at night.]

That is very brave and noble of you. I am sure the people of this Tower appreciate it.

[Well, he doesn't seem to really understand the gravity of the situation. Maybe he hasn't came in contact with the monsters of this place yet.]

You would be surprised. I was wandering the corridors only last month and I ended up dead.

[So he is only being defensive. She pauses for another moment before lowering her bow but still staying wary. She doesn't move any closer that's for sure, simply standing her ground.]

You should not be wandering these corridors at night. Foul creatures roam the halls when all light is gone.

[Idrial keeps her eyes on the other woman opposite her.]

I would agree with your statement if it was anyone else you were talking to. I am more than capable of defending myself out there. [Yeah, that's why she died last month...] And I have the Light of Galadriel with me.

Eh, it ain't all that big a deal. I just like watchin' out for people.

[She held out one artificially-made hand, smiling brightly as she introduced herself.]

[ He wonders he she understand sarcasm. ] Ah.... right. Well, I'm not a monster.

Well, not many people would have so much thought for the people that reside her. Especially for people they do not know.

[Idrial looks down at the hand for a moment. It is not a traditional greeting for her but since arriving here she has gotten more and more used to it. She will take the hand and shake it gently while inclining her head.]

And you, Labrys. I am Idrial.

Guess I ain't many people.

[The mechanical girl gave a quiet laugh, cheerfully shaking her hand.]

Idrial...that's a pretty name.

[ well, more a girl than a woman, but you'd hardly hear her say so scrutiny's being challenged. she crosses her arms and leans against the wall beside her bed. she's not really sure what the light of galadrial is, of course, but "light" is easy enough to make guesses from. ]

Well, that's sure to help you see in that dark, certainly, but it's also sure to help you be seen. If you must insist on taking a flashlight, it would be more prudent to recruit one capable of assisting in combat herself!

[Sarcasm is not exactly something that she's experienced much of before in her life. She definitely wouldn't get it unless it was explained to her afterwards.]

No, you are not and for that I am thankful. [Her eyes are constantly scanning the darkness]

[ Another approaches Idrial from behind, and Amberley hits it with a bolt in between it's eyes. It slumps over into the wall, clearly dead after having a bullet put through it's brain. ]

They die, just like everything else.

[Jellal lifts his head again, the light dieing when he lets his hand fall to his side again, and takes a step forward towards her.]

There seem more dangers than allies around at this hour. I suppose this place is not to be underestimated.
