boom boom boom

Characters: Taro and the tower!
Setting: Media room (level 14) and upper lounge (level 38).
Format: I'll match.
Summary: A bored tanuki wanders around.
Warnings: Probably none.

[Taro was easily amused. That was probably one of the reasons why he liked humanity so much - they were endlessly amusing. They were always making things - not like the people in the Underground who rarely innovated unless pushed.]

[This was one of the reasons why Taro was sitting in the media room, playing a video game. It's a shooting game, and it's one of the older ones - first person view and pixelated graphics. He keeps gunning down the soldiers with a grim look on his face - this time, it's personal. ... Just like all the other times.]

[Stupid World War II.]

[Taro is lounging on a couch on this level, reading a book. ... Or at least he's attempting to. Every few minutes or so the book keeps falling on his face with a 'thump'. It's not due to lack of coordination - it probably has to do with the fact that he keeps yawning.]

[... He really doesn't want to go to bed though. This is the good part!]
deloreandriver: (Yup)

[Marty wandered in, ruffling his hair and unzipping his life-saver jacket. It was a tad hot, and he had just gotten off of working the forge in the workshop. After so many months he was getting some impressive arm muscles.

He plopped down near by in a beanbag chair and started watching the game, happy to do just so for now.]

I don't think I've played that one yet.

deloreandriver: (Hey)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, I got to give my hands and arms a rest for a bit. I just came down from the workshop, working the forge.

[He returned the smile though.]

So who's the bad guys? Are those Nazis?
deloreandriver: (Chill man)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Marty snickered and shook his head.]

Come on... Hitler in a robot suit? Why didn't they just make them all zombies or something?

[Little did he know that Zombie Nazis would be a thing in the future.]

Now that would be kinda scary.
deloreandriver: (Hey)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[Pause.]

...but I was joking.

[Another pause.]

Really? That's heavy, man. I guess that alternate universe theory's true, if it's a possibility then it exists.

So uh... you usually this intense playing a game?
deloreandriver: (Finally they're kissing!)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Aaaand another double take there.]

You were in it?

[Was this guy another time traveler?

Wait, then so that... what.]

Time traveler? Vampire? I mean you look... kinda young for an old guy.
deloreandriver: (What's that?!)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[When Taro changed, it startled Marty and he sat up, ready to leap and run if he needed. When Human Taro appeared again, he relaxed a bit but still remained sitting up instead of the slouch.

It was difficult getting used to strange stuff, okay?]

Whoa... like Japanese mythology tanuki?

[He learned weird things reading books.]
deloreandriver: (Hidden)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[And Taro lost him a bit.]

Huh... in my universe, things like tanukis and kappa are just stories people tell. ...I think.

[If there was any in his universe, they never came out, at least.]

So there's really a secret society of supernatural beings? That's kinda awesome.
deloreandriver: (Yeah well I got into a little trouble...)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure, then. I mean, it's possible? But I guess I'm kinda that way myself. Back home it's not a good idea telling people you can travel in time, either.

[Doc sort of wrote the book about time travel.]

Yeah, they probably would.
deloreandriver: (Yeah well I got into a little trouble...)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, sort of. The Doc made a time machine out of a DeLorean.

[It had kind of been a big mess, but they'd straightened it all out in the end.]

It was kinda fun going back to the Old West, and meeting my great-grandparents. We made some pretty big mess ups though.
deloreandriver: (Yeah well I got into a little trouble...)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2013-01-25 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[He scratched his head, a bit embarrassed]

No, but my mom kissed me and my great grandfather peed on me.

[Video games. Yup. Those were totally a fun thing. Picky had hoped he'd be lucky, and manage to score a tv and a controller and some screen time... but that was always hit or miss, here. But he was good about being patient and waiting his turn. When he came in and saw Taro playing, he shrugged, flopped himself down on an adjacent couch, and started to watch.]

...wow, I haven't seen this one in forever.

[He paused.]

I think.

[He paused again.]

Does this one have a chainsaw?
notagiraffe: (awkwardness)

Level 38 because Taiki and shooting games. No.

[personal profile] notagiraffe 2013-01-26 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Taiki has been wandering round like a lost thing for a few days, he tried his best to fight the sadness that kept creeping up on him, but there were many times he would just sit down where he was and cry. He missed Gyousou so much that he thought his heart would burst with sadness.

He was walking through the lounge when he jumped at the sound of a soft bump, he saw the man with the book on his face.]
Um... sorry... are you okay?
twentycoolpoints: (Such A Dork)

[personal profile] twentycoolpoints 2013-01-27 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Cool. I guess. I was always kind of bad at these ones.

[He shifts on the couch, head dipping lower and feet going higher.]

Wonder if you could get some multiplayer stuff going on, here? They've got enough screens...
