Characters: Commissar Cain & YOU
Setting: Room 2-16, Floor Fifteen, Cafeteria
Format: I'll roll with whatever you use
Summary: Cain be rolling and he definitely be hating.
Warnings: Noticeable non-humans and open magic using, tread at your own risk.
Room 2-16
[Uh-huh, yeah. The note/letter was hastily discarded. Cain rarely cared about reading up on his current situation.
Instead, his eyes went straight for the storage case. Without pause, he hastily put on the carapace armor and then his great coat over top of that. He couldn't forget his hat either!
With a sigh of relief he found his laspistol and stuffed it into its proper holster. But...]
Oh, frak me.
[...his chainsword was in multiple parts. He'd have to put it together. Double frak. He gathered up the parts and glanced around the room to make sure no one was around to give him a hard time.]
Floor 15
[After a little bit of searching, he found this place.
With a smile finally on his face, he got to work putting together that enigmatic weapon that was called a chainsword. It only took a few minutes since he was pretty decently versed in taking it apart and putting it back together again.
And with a few test revs, he found it was working great.]
Now I just need a Jurgen and I'll be satisfied. Like frak that's going to end up happening though. Where in the Emperor's name am I?
[Yeah, he should have read that paper. Unfortunately, paranoia came first on the list, making him want to make sure he could properly protect himself first.]
Cafeteria
[Did I mention he should have read that paper? Because Cain had a few trips to the refresher before he figured out he needed to eat the oatmeal first.
With that craziness over, he took a few tea leaves that was left in his storage box and brewed up some of that....unique smelling tanna tea in the cafeteria. PRIORITIES. It was definitely an acquired taste but Cain loved it. It helped him relax, which was just what he needed. Thankfully, he could find the hot water to make it right here.]
Now that hit the spot. The sad part is that I'm going to need to ration this. Watering it down isn't going to be an option.

Floor 15
[ Yeah, Amberley was behind Cain, just watching. She kinda wanted to wait before he was done with his chainsword to interrupt him. ]

[Ah.
He's not dumb and he's not going to say 'Inquisitor' out in the open where other people could hear it.]
...I don't remember drinking enough last night to make me pass out so I don't think you dragged me here.

no subject
[Which it was a strange situation! And while he wasn't going to blame it on the Emperor (as he is not an Emperor-botherer), he still finds himself lost.]
I don't suppose He has a plan for us here. What do you think?
no subject
[ Amberley takes a few seconds to think about how to phrase it, since anyone could be listening in right now. ]
Most... Well, actually, all of the residents I've spoken with come from the dark age.
no subject
[THE Horus Heresy. Still, that's a long way to travel through time.]
no subject
[ Which is something you never really rule out when you're an Inquisitor. ]
no subject
[His instincts say it's people lying.]
Either way, until the situation is fully assessed, defending myself is the top priority.
no subject
[ She says this in a seductive voice, but that's mostly for possible onlookers. It's pretty obvious that she has a lot of things to go over with him. ]
But, really, I'm glad you're here. You'll just have to deal with everything else so I won't have to be so lonely anymore.
[ Even her worst enemy from the Imperium would be a welcome sight. Better than being around HERETICS all day long. ]
no subject
[He had high hopes for the word 'privately' for obvious reasons.]
Considering that you're you, what cover story are you running this time? I'm guessing it's not being a singer.
no subject
[ It was actually pretty clever. She could actively do Inquisition snooping around without being accused of anything. ]
no subject
[He was thinking on the same lines, of course.]
I'm just going to stay a normal Commissar, if you don't mind.
no subject
no subject
[Not that he often did. People usually just listened to him, thinking his ideas were the best ideas. And Cain liked that.]
no subject
[ Amberley's pretty sure he could still influence people here if he really wanted to. It's what he was best at, after all. ]
no subject
[Not that he would run from fights, oh no. He just served the Emperor better while being alive.]
no subject
Though, to be frank, I like you better alive.
no subject
Can't die? That reeks of warp sorcery.
no subject
[ Honestly, Amberley wonders if the warp even has any effect on this place. It just seems so isolated from everything she knows.
But wow, she really doesn't like seeing Ciaphas upset. So she'll gently wrap her arms around his waist. ]
no subject
[He'll get distracted in a bit. Once he's sure he's not being possessed or something.]
no subject
[ She honestly knows just as much as Cain about this, all she can do is try to reassure him for the time being. ]
no subject
[In his experience with the Eldar, which wasn't a lot, but enough for him.]
Maybe I should stop thinking about that.

[ She brushes the band of her ring against his backside. Yes, that ring. ]

[ That tone of voice is dangerous, Ciaphas... ]

I know I may be dumb at times but even I know that you always have something up your sleeve.
no subject
Then you know you don't have to worry about me.
no subject
He's back on his feet now, sword sheathed and ready to go.]
I've got some tanna calling my name.
no subject
[ Pft like this is even optional. ]
no subject
[It was an automatic yes.]
