Summary: Taiki wakes up and goes exploring!
Warnings:

Not being able to move frightened Taiki and he sat bolt upright the moment he could move, looking around the strange room in fear. There were three other beds but they were all empty, where was he? Where was Lord Gyousou? He jumped out of the bed and looked around. His clothes felt too tight and when he looked down he realised he was not wearing his usual pajamas but a strange suit.

"Sanshi?" He had gotten used to not calling up Sanshi all the time, because he was an adult and so it was improper, but he was scared and this wasn't where he was meant to be. The trunk at the end of the bed rattled and Taiki opened it, suprised to see his clothes in there. When Sanshi appeared in front of him he wrapped his arms around her.

A little while later, feeling a tiny bit braver now that Sanshi and Gouran were with him, Taiki left the room. He had taken off the strange outfit and was now dressed in his normal clothing. He peeked out the door and then Gouran at his heals in his shiba inu guise, Sanshi walking next to him holding his hand he set off down the coridoor.

Gouran just looks like a small dog at the moment.

[And at the end of one of those corridors Taiki and company will fine one Edward Elric looking bewildered and a little pale. His eyes move back and forth between Sanshi and Taiki, brows furrowed tight.]

W-what... Is that a chimera?

[Taiki blinks surprised at the question. Even though it had been less than a year since he was taken to Mount Hou having someone march up to him to ask a question was enough to shake him. He drew closer to Sanshi, since the man did not know what she was Taiki wondered if he was in Hourai, back in Japan, where he had grown up, but did not know how that would be possible.]

Sanshi is my Nyokai [His voice is soft]

"Taiki!"

To say that the kirin now descending on Taiki looked shocked was a vast understatement and an insult to Keiki's admittedly limited emotive abilities. He knew better than to think it was an illusion or a trick, but... It had been decades since the small boy's disappearance, and to have him standing here, in this tower, had implications that shook Keiki to his core. He stopped a few feet in front of Taiki, at a loss for words.

Taiki turned round at the sound of the voice and for the first time since waking up in the strange room smiled.

"Kei Taiho!" He let go of Sanshi's hand and ran up to the other kirin wrapping his arms around his waist. More bold than he usually was, even with Keiki but he was scared.

"Where are we Kei Taiho?"

Keiki froze at the half-hug as much as at the sound of Taiki's voice; both were things he had imagined would stay only as memories. He hadn't changed at all. He traded a slightly helpless look with Sanshi - the nyokai nodded her approval - before crouching and carefully returning the embrace.

"That is something I cannot tell you," he addressed the top of Taiki's head. He'd only been here a day, himself, and no one he had encountered knew where they were. "Taiki, are you well?"

Taiki relaxed, he was still scared but Keiki was here and Keiki would look after him. He nodded, still not letting go of Keiki's waist. "I'm scared and I feel really sad even though I'm happy you are here but I am well. Did you wake up in a strange room as well?" He notices the collar around Keiki's neck and blinks sadly.

"The day before yesterday." He too was looking at the back of Taiki's collar, wondering for not the first time what it was they did, other than flout the laws of heaven. "I see your shirei have accompanied you, as well."

[Oh crap, he didn't mean to freak the kid out.]

Your what? [Confused Ed is confused.]

The young one's presence alerted Castiel, and, like with Keiki, the angel appeared right in front of the smaller creature in the corridors, eying the female beast beside him.

"Another qilin."

[Alright definitly from Hourai. Taiki kept hold of Sanshi's hand] My Noyokai [He thinks how he can explain] She's a demon who looks after me. You're from earth right?

The day before yesterday, Taiki wondered who had brought them here and then he studied his feet as Keiki spoke, taking it as critisism. "Yes, they were in a trunk by the bed where I woke up, I'm sorry I brought them out with me, I was just scared."

"Quilin?" Taiki drew closer to Sanshi when the man appeared in front of him. "Yes I'm a Kirin."

Keiki sat back on his heels, and let out a quiet breath.

"You misunderstand. I am just... glad you did not wake up alone."

"Oh," Taiki sighed and nodded, "Did yours come too? Is Hankyo here?" Because Taiki didn't want to think that his friend had been here for two days all on his own.

"Are you acquaintances to the other qilin, Keiki?"

Trust the angel to get down to business on first meetings.

"He is." Although Keiki hadn't picked up on Taiki's concern as the reason for the question, he dutifully called the demon. Hankyo's large, sleek head rose out of the floor, tongue lolling from his mouth in a wolfish grin, but he made no effort to fully form himself in the hallway.

Keiki, in the meantime, continued his awkward mother-henning. "Have you encountered any problems here?"

"You know Kei Taiho?" Taiki gave a small smile at the mention of his friends name.

"Hello Hankyo!" Taiki smiled at the wolf and then turned back to Taiki, "No... but your only the second person I came across. The first was from Houroi I think."

"It is safe to assume that very few of the others here will have come from any of the twelve kingdoms." He sounded a little put-out about that. Scratch that, actually, he was very put-out. That they were the only creatures saved from such a large population spoke of rank carelessness. "I have met several people, but only one recognised me as a kirin."

"Where they from the Twelve Kingdoms?" Why were most people not, why where they here. Taiki had a thousand questions but knew that Keiki often didn't answer one question at a time, never mind multipul ones asked all at once.

Castiel nodded just so. "I have spoken with him."

"You did? He is a very kind man!" Taiki smiled, "I'm sorry, I'm Taiki, what is your name?"

"I am Castiel. An angel of the Lord."

"An angel? You mean like a christian angel?" Because Tentai didn't have angels, at least they wern't called angels. But Taiki grew up on earth, so angels were known to him. "Angels are real then. I'm sorry, I didn't know."

"Yes."

He looked down at the raven-haired child, then at the guardian creature he's currently with.

"Who is she? She is a strange mix of my Father's creatures."
