Ride oo1
Characters: Yuusei and you~
Setting: Room 4-08, dormitory levels, 81 - 101
Format: Action to start with, but I'll match.
Summary: Arriving now of all times, when his home city, his world is in danger of being destroyed, Yuusei isn't pleased to find out that it's already happened. Looks like it's time for him to make a quick adjustment to this place, or find a way out.
Warnings: None yet, but will be updated if needed.
[ A; ROOM 04-08 ]
[ Yuusei remains seated on his bed, still wearing the white outfit he'd woken up in, both letters in hand. The sleep paralysis had given him a bit of a shock, but he's over it now, having forced himself to move as soon as he'd been able to. He's less concerned about his physical state and changing clothes, and more worried about what's going on - last he knows, he and the rest of the Signers were supposed to be saving the world. Though, after a moment, he shakes his head and lowers the letters to the bed, gaze lifting to the wall where a network terminal rests. Could he find people he knows through that? Likely, but...
He lifts his hand to the collar around his neck and tugs on it slightly, then runs his fingers along the surface of it, feeling the tubing for a moment. It's not like the collar he'd been put in before, but the way the place looks makes him think he's in a somewhat better place than the facility - at least, in terms of the condition of the rooms to start. Yuusei swallows and shakes his head once more, finally bothering to look around a little more. ]
... Now what?
[ B; DORMITORY FLOORS ]
[ As the kind of cautious person he is, Yuusei's taking it upon himself to wander the dormitory floors a little, simply wanting to get a good bearing of where he is, and maybe see if he can spot anyone he knows. Hell, even someone that's just friendly would be a good start, someone willing to help him get on his feet a little better. He's in his normal clothes by now though, and content to just wander the area, hoping to find a single person that knows the place better.
After all, isn't it better to be properly forewarned of any dangers? ]
[ C; FLOORS 81-101; NIGHTTIME ]
[ Of course, it's in Yuusei's best interests to get a better bearing of where he is, and as far as he's aware, he's free to wander. But his sense of time tends to slip a bit when he's focused, often having moments back home where he's not even realized how late it was before deciding to try to sleep.
Though he imagines he'll get about as much sleep in this place as he ever has back home.
As he wanders, there are some things he forces himself to glance past, while other floors cause him to linger on the stairs, reminded of something - or someone - he knows. But he rarely lets himself wander off of the staircase, not wanting to risk setting off any sort of traps. He could do without dying, even if his home is destroyed now. ]

Stairs outside of floor 87
The blonde was teetering between the 87th floor and the stairs. It seemed relatively peaceful and he was tempted to check it out. Jonouchi, preoccupied with the idea, was completely unaware of Yuusei. As he backed away from the floor making the decision that he didn't want to enter it, he stumbled into the the other person.]
W-whoa?!
[He'll tumble over with the small chance of knocking Yuusei over with him.]
B
[Comments the blonde girl leaning against a wall wearing a hat and weaving some string between her fingers - cats cradle.]

And ends up bumping into someone and losing his balance enough to fall back onto the staircase with a quiet grunt. Stairs digging into his back just... aren't okay, so he pushes himself up to see who's ended up on the floor with him.
It's no one he recognizes, but it's fine all the same. Yuusei pushes himself to a stand and offers his hand to the other. ]
Sorry. I should've paid more attention.
no subject
I've seen stranger.
no subject
[But as her fingers are semi-trapped by the string, she doesn't.]
no subject
We'll see. [ A pause, and he really thinks he should get down to business a bit. ] How long have you been here?
no subject
[She leans toward the string and takes a bit of it between her teeth. She pulls it up, making something that looks like the Eiffel Tower. Looking up, she grins at her accomplishment holding it for a little bit.]
no subject
The blonde glanced up at the individual, there were a few number of things that struck him as odd. Then again a lot of people here did that. Being that they were from different worlds, apparently. Jonouchi smiled, and happily obliged to the hand offered to him. Without much effort on Yuusei's part Jonouchi pulled himself up.]
Thanks! Don't worry about it, I ran into you.
[He took a second glance.]
Been here awhile or did you just get here?
B
With a friendly smile, Kidou jogs over and stops a few feet away from Yuusei, shifting the soccer ball in his hands underneath his left arm.]
Yo! Are you a new arrival?
no subject
I've only just arrived today.
[ Short, no-nonsense responses seem to be Yuusei's thing - he noticed how off-putting he likely sounded just then, and... well. If he's going to make friends and allies, then he'll need to change that a little. ]
What about you?
no subject
What's it been like for you so far, then?
no subject
Yeah. Just woke up here today.
no subject
I'm actually leaning toward the former. She's not really clever.
no subject
[ That's a new one. Yuusei shifts a bit closer, curiosity getting the better of him in a wary sort of way. ]
no subject
Kinda my job to stop her and any other vampires from getting too uppity.
no subject
I just arrived recently, but what do you know?
[Because he would hate for you to be surprised like he was.]
/latest orz; Idek stairs near floor 82?
He will show him true despair soon enough.
Only after the night has fallen, it becomes time to seek him out - to set the stage for this little reunion. It is time to see just how that seed of fear he had instilled in their last duel has come along.]
no subject
It wasn't as if it was painful, burning through his skin and making him clutch his right arm.
Though the moment he feels it start to grow and he has to grit his teeth, there's most definitely a moment when all Yuusei feels is fear. He'd thought he'd gotten over it after being able to bring himself to duel Aki and open her heart to him and her parents once more. But if the idea of a Dark Signer coming closer to him makes him dash off of the stairs and onto a floor that he knows absolutely nothing about without considering the risks entirely, then apparently that fear is still there.
There's a light weight on his face when he enters, and his peripheral vision's a bit blocked as well, and he reaches up to touch-- a mask? Well, it'll help, he supposes. Yuusei moves away from the stairs to try to blend in a little - though it isn't like there's much to blend in with. The pain is a familiar one, but he wants to be sure it's him before he goes running face-first into a battle he's not sure he can fight just yet. ]
no subject
[ Or, well. More like Security in charge of Satellite, but that's neither here nor there. It's not like he'll be having to deal with that again now, is it? Yuusei hesitates a little at that, simply for the reminder, but he ignores the uneasiness after a moment. ]
And you don't know if she's here, do you? Or anyone from your home.
no subject
Aside from my world having been apparently destroyed and the fact that we're all stuck here? The terminals are unreliable, from what I've heard, and bad things happen to all kinds of people so long as we're stuck.
[ A pause as he glanced around briefly - he really doesn't seem to buy the whole thing about his world being destroyed, though. ]
Did I miss anything?

no subject
Well, at least you have someone, then. Keep them close.
no subject
The time to laugh will come soon enough.
Confusion, then annoyance flicker over his face when Yusei's presence just vanishes, growling and grumbling quietly about the meddling forces of the Tower, before he strides down the stairs and onto the floor, blinking when the mask settles on his face and he finds himself in the middle of a crowd.
Well, well... if Yusei wants to play hide and seek... Kiryu has rarely been one to refuse a challenge. Come out, come out, wherever you are~]

After a while, Yuusei makes his way to the furthest wall from the stairs and, quite predictably, decides to lean against it with a few of the other people standing there. And though he realizes after a brief moment that yes it's obvious that he'd go there, it'll at least take a few minutes for the other to show up, assuming they decide to keep up the chase.
And if it's who he thinks it is, Yuusei needs to make use of his few minutes.
His problem before had been that he'd been too confident, he thought he knew Kiryuu well enough to be able to counter his every move, but he'd changed, and so had his deck to reflect as much. He'd still fight back if he had to, but he isn't going to just throw himself headfirst without at least thinking of a way or two to take down that Earthbound. Then again, who's to even say that this will end in a duel?
Yuusei folds his arms over his chest and lifts a leg to rest his foot against the wall, eyes searching the crowd for anything familiar at all. He's... not prepared for this at all. ]
no subject
Quite a shame; Kiryu had thought his former friend smarter than that. Not that he cares; he is quite happy to have other play straight into his hands.
Time to see if he can make the other jump a little.
If Yusei will catch sight of Kiryu's cloaked silhouette, the mark on his arm burning in sinister purple. A second later he is gone again, hidden by the crowd around them once more.]
no subject
It's most definitely Kiryuu.
He waits a moment before throwing himself into the crowd once more, moving himself away from the wall and trying to meld a little into the crowd. It isn't as if he has much in the way of finding places to go, and making his way to the stairs would only make it easier to find him on another floor. So to Yuusei... staying here is his best option.
But if he decides to face Kiryuu? What if he decides that he can deal with what's happened, and if he ends up dead, then so be it? His world is destroyed anyway, so it isn't as if he has much to live for anyway-- But no, he can't give up. Yuusei shakes his head, pushing the thought away as he continues to just keep moving so Kiryuu can't pin him down to one place. There has to be a way to fix things - if not with his world, than with Kiryuu, at least.
Though telling himself he can get over his fear and actually doing it are two different things. ]

From what I heard, no one's seen the bastards in charge in person before.
no subject
He is not busy to find Yusei in the masses around them - he is not in a hurry and more than happy to draw this out a little - and instead chooses to linger in the shadows near the stairs, one eye always on the exit out of the room.
He would not want Yusei to leave prematurely after all.]
