Open! Around the tower

Characters: Yuka Mochida and You!
Setting: Halls around the tower, the Cafeteria and Floor 81
Format: Action, but I'll follow you!
Summary: Yuka finally leaves her room, and attempts some tower exploring (read as: she's starving and wants food).
Warnings: Possible spoilers for Corpse Party: Blood Covered/Repeated Fear?

[[She spent her first few days barely venturing out of her room or off the dormitory levels. If she had learned anything from her time in Heavenly Host, it was that if you were hoping someone would find you, don't move a muscle.

But after a while she was beginning to get hungry, and maybe that letter was right, and if it was she couldn't stay in there forever...

So finally she leaves her room, wandering the halls trying to find her way around. She looks pretty lost and pretty scared, hugging the walls as she moves to sort of stay out of the way.]]

[[After finding her way to the cafeteria, Yuka immediately looked at the food choices and...why was it all nutrition bars?! None of that is good at all! Oh but...there's also oatmeal. And that's probably at least a little better than the other choices...

But it doesn't really look all that appetizing.

So she's just staring at the food choices, conflicted on which is the lesser of two evils.]]

[[Later in the day, it would be hard to miss the little girl if you wandered onto floor eighty-one. Because the first thing you'll likely notice is the crying. She's tried to put up a good front all day, and succeeded mostly due to being so hungry before. But with that no longer a worry, it gave her plenty of time to think about that letter again and what it means, and she found herself a corner to curl up in and just started crying.

She wants to go home. She wants her family and her friends.]]

B-big brother...wh-where are you...Yuka doesn't want to be here an-anymore!

[John and Chandel were on their way down to dinner when the sound of someone crying brought them both to a stop on the staircase. It only took John a couple of seconds to decide what to do. Nutrition bars can wait, because someone crying is more important than that. So the boy and his Lampent abandon the staircase, following the sound of tears until they find Yuka's corner.]

Hey...what's wrong? Are you lost?

[[She jumps a little when the boy speaks up, and does her best to quiet her crying. There's still a hiccup or two as she wipes at her face.]]

Y-yes. Um. I am. Y-yuka doesn't know where she is at all!

[[The girl looks up at John finally, scooting back just a little when she spots the Lampent because what is that?]]

A-and...can't find big brother.

[chaos had come up here again to view the stars, but when he saw, heard, and sensed a crying person, he couldn't help but go up to them. He had faced many crying, hurt, and injured people in his life..but that didn't mean that he liked it. Or that he didn't want to help. He crouched down to be at her eye level and tried to put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.]

..Who is your brother? If you tell me, we might be able to find him together.

[[Yuka shrinks back - just a little - from the touch, but doesn't pull away completely. Surprised by the presence, mostly. Though it has her quieting at least, blinking up at him.]]

...Satoshi M-mochida. That's his name.

[[Wiping at her eyes a little, she snuffles.]]

Will you really h-help Yuka look?

[chaos smiled and nodded, holding out his hand.]

I will help you look. I cannot promise that he is here, but I shall help you look, Yuka.

[[After a moment she takes his hand.]]

Okay. Th-thank you.

Do not mention it. I enjoy helping people.

[Smiling, chaos would walk out of the room, holding on to Yuka, and get onto the stairs.]

Do you have a problem with elevators? They are the fastest way to get down to the dorms.

Okay. [[Yuka follows closely, shaking her head.]]

Elevators are okay...I didn't get to ride them very often at home.

[[But they're going to the dorms...she didn't think of looking in other rooms, because that's really rude...]]

...mmaybe he's taking a nap. Big brother can be really lazy.

Alright then. I suppose it is a new experience for you then.

[As he spoke, chaos guided her into the elevator and pressed the button. As it went down, he chuckled inwardly.]

Perhaps..napping is a good way to pass the time sometimes.

[Ib had taken to wandering around ever since she woke up here in an attempt to understand this place a little bit more.

It really wasn't so hard to notice the girl who was hugging the hallways and clearly scared, especially since they seemed to be around the same age.

Ib couldn't blame her, this whole thing was scary, she was just doing her best to keep her courage stronger than her fear.]

Um...are you lost?

[Not that she could help much since she hadn't gone everywhere yet, but she could try!]

What are you crying about, kid?

[Reimu leaned down in front of her, wondering.]

Were you bit by a vampire or something? If that happened, you have to tell me.

[There were new people! Though it made Romeo sad that these were more souls that the bad people had stolen and stopped from going to heaven. Still he went round helping those that needed it and making people welcome, because the tower was very scary sometimes.

A young girl caught his eye and he bounced up to her.] You got to eat the oatmeal first. [He pointed] It's not too bad though!

Well...you're on the...eighty-first floor, I think? Yeah. Eighty-first. [He rubs at the back of his head.] Where did you last see your brother? Or better yet, do you know his room number? We could wait by his door for him. He's bound to show up there sooner or later.

[He has to sleep sometime, right?]

I-I don't know. I-I saw him in his room and...I don't know his room number so I don't think we can go look for him...! [[All of this is working her up again, and fresh tears start slipping down her cheeks.]]

Yuka doesn't want to be here all alone!

[[And now she's crying once more.]]

[[As the elevator starts moving, she wobbles a little before clutching to his side a little to keep balance.]]

...yeah. He tries to nap a lot because of that, but Yuka won't let him. It's not good to be so lazy!

... [[She's quiet at first, looking at the other girl. She looked like she might be as old as her...so she could probably trust her, right?]]

I-I think so. I'm not really sure where I am...Yuka's never seen this place before...

Wh-what? [[A vampire?! There are vampires here?]] N-no! I don't think so...I don't remember being bitten by one...or even seeing one. A-are...are there really vampires here?

I-I do? [[Sorry Romeo, you startled her a little. But she relaxes when she notices that they're probably close to the same age...kids her age can't be bad, so.]]

Why's that? [[She's getting a bowl anyway. If he says she does, well then she will!]]

[And chaos puts a hand on her shoulder to doubly ensure that she doesn't fall over.]

Well..not all the time. There is nothing wrong with being a bit lazy every now and then.

Because you get sick if you don't. But once you eat it you can eat whatever you like. The bars are yukky but I got some fruit you can have once you eat it!

Big brother is the laziest of the lazy. And he is really forgetful. He forgets things all the time! Yuka is always bringing him his lunch or his coat or umbrella.

[[Talking about him seems to calm her down more, apparently especially when complaining about him.]]

...why? [[Why would you have to eat something before you can eat anything else? Why does the oatmeal make it so that nothing makes you sick? She thinks on this, spoon of oatmeal in her mouth, and then the comment about the fruit registers.]]

Really?! You'd share with Yuka?

[chaos, of course, doesn't miss this.]

It is good that you take care of him then, Yuka. However..he can't forget everything, right?

There's always vampires everywhere. But don't worry, I'll make sure they're hunted down.

Because of the bad people I don't know why really. [He nodded with a grin] I will! Is Yuka your name? Mine's Romeo!

[Ib could sympathize with that. It was scary to be lost.]

It's a tower. I don't know a lot about it.

[But maybe she already knew that. Different approach.]

Were you trying to get somewhere?

Well...no. He doesn't forget everything. Which is good! But I don't really mind when he does. Because then I get to visit him at school.

A tower? But... [[How did she get into a tower? She was just at home...]]

Is this another part of that school? What class are you in?

H-hunted down? [[Everywhere? Suddenly this place is a whole lot scarier than she thought it was originally.]]

I-I...I don't want to be here!!

The...bad people? [[Who are they? But oh! He introduced himself! Yuka bows.]]

It's nice to meet you Romeo-kun! Um, yes. I'm Mochida Yuka.

Well, that's good. I imagine that it's nice to see your brother every now and then at school and keep an eye on him.

Yes, they stole our souls and brought us here and do bad things. But it's okay! Because there's lots of nice people here too!

It is! [[Yuka's definitely relaxed now, standing straight rather than cowering slightly and looking around the elevator with actual interest, even if there isn't much to be seen.]] Because sometimes I don't get to hang out with him a lot at home. He has after school stuff to do a lot, like festivals for his culture club, so he doesn't come home until really late. So seeing him at school is really nice!

Wh-wh...why would they do that? [[Why would you take someone's soul?]] Th-that's horrible! [[Souls are sacred! They belong to you and no one else! Why would that even be something someone can do?!]]

[It was good so see that Yuka was calming down and relaxing, even though the circumstances were odd. She must have really loved her brother.]

That does sound like it could be fun. Perhaps you could ask sometime to get involved in the festivals he has at school?

Oh um...I have actually. But because Yuka isn't in the same school, she can't help. Sometimes big brother takes me to see the festivals though! Mommy and daddy come too. It's really fun.

[[And now she looks up at Chaos.]]

Did you ever have festivals at your school?

I see..hopefully you can go to the same school as he does someday. But it is nice that you and your parents have fun at those festivals.

[..How to answer this one..]

..I am sorry to say that I didn't. They are a lot of fun though.

What are you so worried about? I just said I'd keep you safe so you should be relaxing or something.

Because they are bad... and want to do bad things to us so they stole them and keep us trapped here. [He got closer to her though, blinking with wide eyes] You don't got to be scared though, it's okay!

Shhhh, hey it's okay. We'll find him!

[He offers his hand to her.]

And if by some chance we don't, you aren't here alone, don't worry.
