Summary: Considering everyone's pretty out of it thanks to the event, Naegi decided to check up on his friends before giving them some space in order to check some of the higher floors more closely.

[Room 03-20]
[Ever since everyone has returned to normal, there's no doubt in the fact that all of the one changed harbored some guilt over what they did, so that's probably why he's just pacing by himself within his own room, looking a bit concerned as he mulled over on what to do today; of course he can just barge in to their room and ask if they're okay, but he isn't that tactless!!!

He sighed. This is just great, isn't it? But perhaps if you happened to just wake up from the sound of footsteps going back and forth or you just happened to walk back after breakfast, you can still find Makoto Naegi walking around looking tired and harried over what to do.]

[Dormitory Area]
[Perhaps, if you're going back after your sulking from wherever you are, or maybe you're just feeling like going out, you might find and awkward looking guy just. Standing outside your room not really noticing you, a little too deep in wondering to even notice he's in your way-]

O-oh, sorry!

[It's just Makoto Naegi, guys. Move along.]

[Floor 1]
[...It's still nutrition bars.

Well, the month isn't over yet, so what was he even expecting when he reached there? Sure it might've tasted bad, but the taste has at least become tolerable to him no thanks to the time he's spent in this tower. Might as well eat them in silence while people-watching, he guessed.]

[Floor 81]
[...Stars.

To be honest, this floor is one of the ones he kept on passing while checking on the more dangerous floors, but perhaps that's because of its nature as a lounge that he didn't bother looking for more information on this place until now. Though...]

...I wonder what it's like to be free like them?

[...Of course, that just made him a bit jealous of the twinkling star, floating around in space without a care as endless planets orbited around them, compared to the existence of this... jail that just kept them locked up and tortured to their limits.

He shook his head at that, no, it wouldn't do to be that depressing this early on after the event, he has to keep his morele up!!!]

[For once, chaos was looking forward to watching the stars without seeing people who had been at the mercy of Jason's experiments. However, when he wandered onto the floor and heard the other person speak, he couldn't help but reply.]

Even for the stars, it is a hard existence..but their freedom is nice in comparison to this one.

[The teen was startled by the voice of someone speaking up to answer his words to himself, but regardless turned towards him with a small smile.]

Kinda makes us jealous, doesn't it?

[It's just said in jest, as he tried to keep his mood as light as possible.]

I wouldn't call stars "free"... Their place in life is fixed. They can't deviate or refuse to move.

*Rhetorical question, get answer from fellow star observer. Don't mind him, he's just waiting for a friend to show up.*

Well, I meant figuratively, but that fate is certainly still better than this place...

Better than what we have now, yes... But we can still choose our own path here. It may be harder to see that we can, but believe me, we can.

*Enoch isn't quite sure what everything has done to him. He spent a long time in this tower in ups and downs, intermittent despair and hope. And now...fear and pain did not bring him despair anymore. The thought of those he's lost hurt, but he did not despair. Such moments of strength had all but left him over the past months.

But then...that's the way it's always been. Spend a year in a depressive state, catch an emotional second wind and surge forward. Another year or two or three of darkness, and then his strength would return.

He supposes there's comfort in knowing the tower has in fact changed that much so little.*

[chaos returned the smile and kept his voice light. However, he was being serious.]

..Not really. I wonder, if the stars were sentient, might they not envy us?

[There's a sigh of relief as he heard the man said that, from what? Even the boy himself isn't sure, but at the very least there's still somebody still hanging on, albeit weakly as he sounded.

But... there's still a chance, yes.]

...Maybe, but at the very least they're not tortured until the brink of breaking and then some.

Perhaps..but we have things that the stars do not. Sentience, for one, and the ability to move about as we choose. The stars are on a fixed path..and unlike people, they cannot control their own lives.

...In a sense, they're more like the ones modified last week, are they?

[And that comparison is just... saddening to hear coming from his own mouth, really.]

[ Without a word, Urotsuki sits down at Naegi's table, almost as if she doesn't notice him. She did though, that's exactly why she's sitting down at this specific table.. and she's just starting to build a tower out of her nutrition bars as a way of passing time. ]

No..not really. The stars have not been altered so that they cannot think for themselves..they have just always been like that, living their own lives without thinking.

[Far be it for him to question what she's doing, since it's really obvious, but...

I wonder, just how far does this tower stretch, really.

[It was probably because of chaos..the person was rather odd. However, at the question, chaos smiled.]

I do not know either..but it would be nice to find out eventually, if we can.

[ At least she's never bored, she just keeps herself entertained like this. The food is really boring this month otherwise, after all. ]

Hopefully, we'll be able to survive until it reaches that point.

[ She stands up from her seat, and he might be expecting some kind of amazing power, but.. instead she stretches out her hands in front of her, sort of like a T-rex, and with the least intimidating voice ever she says-- ] Gaao..

W-whoa, that's kinda scary, isn't it...?

[He's not sure how to react, since it's actually more cute than terrifying!!!!!]

[ She nods solemnly to herself, dropping her arms a little bit again. ]

Godzilla was ferocious, after all. I have to be the same way.

Uh-huh. I stayed out of the way of people who seemed weird. [ Since she quickly realised something was up with all those people acting strangely, but she didn't mingle much in the middle of it.. she might be oblivious, but she's not always completely stupid. ]
