Though Ocelot had spoken with Nyx and had vowed to accept death gracefully, she had yet to make the connection. As far as she was concerned, Ryoji was a strange boy who had gotten mixed up with things that he wasn't exactly prepared to deal with and nothing more. Ganondorf wanting to take advantage of the power that Ryoji had therefore didn't even register.
