Finally, another party

Characters: ProtoLancer [personal profile] puppy_lancer, Zero Lancer [personal profile] oathshackledbird and anyone interested in attending a birthday party. Details here.
Setting: Meadow
Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[OBJECTION.] There is absolutely nothing wrong with my mood. My so-called 'stern look' is a perfectly normal facial expression. [Well, in Edgeworth view, anyway. He isn't in a bad mood - well, not until Dia started questioning about it, anyway.]

[And in regards to the tea] This brew is actually quite decent. Certainly not up to the standards of the Gatewater Hotel’s back home [Pretentious high-class hotel. Meaning your roomie is a shob, Dia.] but it’s not that bad, considering where it came from.

[Diarmuid gives Edgeworth an amused look, but lets the discussion about his expression drop. After all, the last thing he wants to do is cause a problem when he had been trying to defuse one. Hopefully, he brother won't bother their roommate too much.]

It's better than I would have expected from this place, that is for sure. I should see if some of the leaves or mix is in the kitchen. I am sure a few friends of mine wouldn't mind having a supply for when our 'hosts' forget to give us since nice alternatives.

[He would definitely like to gather some for Mami, so that the next time they decide to have a party there are more options to choose from.]

[Edgeworth nearly gives Dia one of his icy cold glares for that amused look but restrains himself.]

You mean like our 'hosts' forgot last month? [Because you may or may not have seen Edgeworth grumbling at all those nutrition bars at some point during that month.]

[Diarmid laughs, though there is a slightly bitter tone to it.]

Unfortunately, that was not forgetting. It was done on purpose. Last month was my first Jason month, but from what I have been told, he always only allows nutrition bars for his months. It is why people will often gather and set aside extra food when they can before one of his months.

.....I already knew that, Mr. Diarmuid. It's quite difficult not to notice when it's pretty much screamed all over the network. [In other words, his statement wasn't serious and wow rude I do check my information.

In other words, your roommate is an arrogant douche. :(]

[Nice try Edgeworth, but it takes a more than a little rudeness to upset your roommate.]

Just Diarmuid is fine. There is no need for the "Mister." I am actually happy to hear that information is now on the network and pretty easy for others to find. Computers and such didn't exist in my time so I have to admit, while I understand how useful the network is, I probably don't use it quite as much as I should.

Diarmuid, then. [Whatever.]

I suppose that you would be more accustomed to writing things down. Not that this is a bad thing. Few people in my world seem know how to use a hand-write properly anyway. Or even spell correctly. It's quite disturbing.

Actually, you would be wrong there. Paper didn't exist in the time that I originally came from. We had a written language, yes, but it wasn't all that widely spread. What I am used to is talking to people face to face. The only reason I am so comfortable writing is because of what the Grail taught me. I would not have been much use in the war if I did not know how to use the native language of the land we were in, after all.

[Diarmuid laughs.]

I shall remember your dislike of misspelled words and be sure to never write you anything in my native language. I expect the odd spellings might give you quite the headache.
