Entry tags:
Finally, another party
Characters: ProtoLancer
puppy_lancer, Zero Lancer
oathshackledbird and anyone interested in attending a birthday party. Details here.
Setting: Meadow
Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!
[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]
[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[Nearly every day in the past.]

There is no need. Everyone has their own issues and some are not so easily pushed away as others. Besides, even though we have just met, I would not say you bring negativity around a lot. You are helping train people to better protect themselves here. That is a wonderful thing. And look at how many people are so thoroughly enjoying the food you brought today. i do not think the mood would be quite so happy without you.

Thank you.

You don't need to thank me. After all, if was you who did the hard work. I just pointed out the obvious since sometimes it's easy to miss it. There is plenty of food out now and others have brought a lot of things themselves. I am glad to see you taking a break to enjoy your hard work.

In that you are completely correct. It seems creating stress and pain is the tower's specialty. All we can do is recognize that and do our bests to make sure we don't let that overwhelm us.
If it is okay for me to ask, do you enjoy teaching? Is that why you have been working so hard to get things organized for training people?

[Diarmuid seems a little saddened by this answer. Part of him had actually, oddly enough, been looking forward to talking to another person who enjoyed teaching.]
I really enjoy it. Teaching others was a part of my duties when I first lived. Is there something I can do to make things any easier for you? To give you time to focus more on things you like?

Nothing really. This and watching over a few others are all I have to do. Simply keep doing what you have been doing to aid others in the tower.

I will, but if you think of something, please don't be afraid to ask. I am actually pretty excited. A friend of mine is going to show me how to use the printing press soon. It will be very helpful in getting out that information that Saber and I posted about not long ago on the Network. We have been working on this so long that even getting a few rough copies out will be a large step forward. And it will let those who volunteered to help focus on the map portion since that part cannot be done on a printing press.
