01; (belated) intro of a citizen of the water tribe

Setting: Dorm 04-12 & hallways, second library (floor 19), workshop (floor 15).
Format: Starting with action, but can do prose.
Summary: Sokka wakes up in the tower.

[Dorms 04-12 + hallways]
[Sokka can't believe his world has been destroyed. He just helped save it, not six months ago. It can't just be gone.

So, it must be a trap. Someone has taken him hostage or something. Why someone would want to take him, he's not quite sure. Although he supposes his friends might be around here somewhere too.

Though... kidnapped by people who had been kind enough to leave his sword for him in the trunk at the end of the bed he'd woken up in. A sword he hasn't seen in months. As well as his boomerang, bag... and clothes, thankfully.

Okay. Odd, for sure.

After a brief moment as he changes and works over his options, Sokka wanders toward the door, sword braced as though ready for any attack.]

Hello?

[A pause as he peeks his head around the doorway, frowning.]

Uh, kidnappers? Hello?

[He looks around for anyone about.]

'Kay, already weird.


[Floor nineteen | Second Library]
[The more Sokka explores the place, the more confused he becomes. Every floor he passes and peeps into seems stranger than the last. The library, however, is something he's more than glad to see. Finally. Maybe they'll be some answer as to what the hell's going on. He's soon looking curiously through the books available.]


[Floor fifteen | Workshop]
[Sokka had not been intending to stop on this floor, but once he catches sight of the tools available, he stops. Frowning, his hand brushes over the collar around his neck. He doesn't know what it's for, but he knows he doesn't want it. If his sister Katara were here, she might be able to bend the liquid inside out of the stupid thing. But it doesn't look like she is, so he'll have to work on his own here.

Alright, let's get this thing off.]

[While Sokka didn't know it, that word was very interesting and puzzling to Tohko. While she still looked rather sad about having to be the bearer of bad news, she also looked a little puzzled.]

Zo probably tried to. While he is capable of pulling people here, he has trouble with pulling more than one soul here. When he tries, they sometimes just get twisted into one monster, which we call a Phantom here. Either that, or they got scattered elsewhere. That could have happened too. However..what is the Avatar in your universe? I've heard the word used before, but I'm not sure if the word has the same meaning in my universe.

The Avatar is the person who keeps the balance between the nations. See, he can control all four elements, and--

[But Sokka stops here, a little distracted.]

Uh, is... bending possible in this place? I mean, are there people who can control water? Or earth? Or fire?

[Having to explain this stuff is a little new to Sokka. Of course, everyone knows it already where he comes from.]

[Well, that was interesting. So, it didn't sound like this Avatar was related to any gods then. Just a very powerful person with-maybe-some other attributes that she didn't know about. However..Tohko had heard about bending before from Tahno, and just thinking about that jerk made her sigh. However, she did nod.]

So, the Avatar isn't a direct descendant of any deities? And people can perform all sorts of elemental magic here. I myself can manipulate lightning and the rain..but I've only met one other person who called himself a waterbender here, and he was a really smug jerk.
