She hurled one knife in the direction of the Empress while gripping her other again in her hand to position it defensively. Even with that speed, in the open like this, she expected to have some ability to lash out when Feferi made to close with her. Of course, she wasn't sure that she could do enough damage to matter even if she managed to turn the tines away when her hand pulled out another knife for close-combat.
