A week is simply too long [closed]

Setting: John's room
Format: I'm writing prose but whatever works
Summary: Rose is missing her fiance and seeks out the other John for comfort.
Warnings: Maybe language??? Homestuck kids man.

She wasn't sure what to think or how to feel. He was gone...Sure, not forever. His nameplate was still by the door, so he hadn't left the tower, but...this week was frightening. She hadn't run into any monsters yet, but she'd heard about them and she didn't want to run into them.

Eventually she couldn't stand it anymore and Rose found herself seeking out the other John. Maybe he was in his room...It took a bit of a walk from her own room, but she was in front of his door soon enough and giving it a light knock.

"...um...John?"

John had been in his room, he's been seeking out the other John as well so Rose probably shouldn't feel as if she had been the only one. He just didn't seek out Rose, he should have, but he didn't. So seeing her at his door wasn't as much of a surprise as it should have been.

"Hey," He motions for her to come in, "Everything alright?"

[tentacletrainer]

She walks in, shaking her head as she does so. "You...you haven't seen John around, have you? He's been missing for a while now and I'm getting worried..." Code words for 'I miss him'.

[longwinded]

"No, I haven't. I went and checked his name plate the other day. I'm guessing he disappeared like I did." Ugh, but what John was seeing back home. He wonders if John has ever actually seen ruined Johto.

He misses him too. It's okay.

[tentacletrainer]

"Yeah...I thought that might be the case..." She frowns, sitting down on the floor. "I'm worried about him." She looks up at him and smiles softly. "Thanks for looking out for him too."

[longwinded]

Instead of inviting her up onto the bed, he gets down on the floor and sits next to her. "I don't like what happens when people leave the tower like that." He knows it sounds rather childish put that way...but.

"Of course. He's a dweeb but he's also me."

[tentacletrainer]

Chuckling, she nods. "You're also a dweeb, you know. You're still him, after all." Rose enjoys the fact that he sits down next to her instead. It really comforts her.

[longwinded]

He kind of got that she needed a little comforting. Not that he's actually sure how to go about that. Comfort is a thing that really isn't up his alley. "Not as much as he is, I'll have you know!" But no really, John misses his alternate self pretty bad.

"Seeing your home ruined sucks."

[tentacletrainer]

"Uh huh. Sure." She smiles...but falls quiet when he mentions that. "...yeah. It does." She's been there before. It wasn't fun.

[longwinded]

They've both been through a pretty rough time then. He scoots a little closer to her, to put an arm around her. This was okay right? He wasn't crossing any major boundaries!

"He'll be fine." Both of them are class-a knuckleheads, and he knows john will be alright. Disoriented, but alright.
