A) Room 1-09
[Mayu awakes with a jolt, looking about with wild eyes, hands going to her neck almost instinctively, finding the collar and... Mayu can only sigh.]

...Lost my head again?

B) Dorms
[Mayu can be found half dancing, half skipping about the dormitory corridors, apparently trying to take in everything at once... axe twirling about in one hand. Is it normal for new arrivals to be this... merry?]

C) Elevator
[You know how long it takes for the elevator to reach the bottom? Because Mayu is finding out the hard way.

...Who wants to spend it with a bored, axe wielding midget?]

D) Cafeteria
Huh?!

[Guess who just found the cafeteria menu]

But is all dull!

'Cause it's a bad month for food. [America nods, looking as if he's very well-acquainted with the food cycles of the cafeteria.] Bars an' water this month, but next month'll probably be better.

[Mayu sighs, twirling her axe dejectedly]

Should hope, yes? If bad food where's point?

[colonial]

[America nods in agreement. He glances at the axe and takes note of it, but doesn't seem especially bothered by it.]

Jason says making other food's pointless but that's just because he's dumb.

[axeforasong]

Mmm? Who is 'Jason'?

[colonial]

Oh, are you new? [America looks up at her and inspects her more critically.] Jason's one of the admin-strators in charge, and this month he picks all the food and he picks dumb stuff like bars.

[axeforasong]

Aaa~aaaah... and could only think water and bars? Must be boring dunderhead...

[colonial]

[America giggles.] Yeah, last month there was chocolate pancakes and milkshakes and ice cream so I think it's just him.

[axeforasong]

Ah, that sounds great! Truly wonderful, yes?

Does he steal all for himself or just poor taste?

Elevator

[wrigurun]

[Mayu isn't the only short person in the elevator. Wriggle stands on the opposite side of the floor, staring at Mayu's axe cautiously. In her hands is a small box with a lid.

She always found these rides terribly boring too and normally she would spend it pacing or hovering around but she didn't want to accidentally fly into anything sharp]

I think he's just boring. And dumb. [America nods.] No one likes him anyway.

[axeforasong]

[AGREEING you talk so much sense]

Is like a horse if only eats oats!

[axeforasong]

[uuuugh, boored, boooored, booooooored.

It's lack of anything better to do that makes her tilt her head.]

What's in the box?

[Being acknowledged catches her by surprise but she doesn't stop staring at the axe]

N-Nothing!

But I'm gonna fill it with bugs and train with them later...

[-oh, that actually sounds kinda interesting! Excited axe twirl!]

Bugs can be trained? Is like circus?

No, it's serious stuff.

Bug do what I tell them to, that's kind of my thing. But there are places in the tower they can't listen to me. I know they should be able to, so that's why I'm training.

[axeforasong]

Uwaaa, is like coordinator then? [sorry Wriggle, 'performance terms' are still the best fit she can think of for this]

They can report back, yes?

Uh, I guess. I prefer the word 'leader' though.

They do but like I said, there are some places I can't reach them.

Ahaha! What's it like being an insect?

It's like... being an insect!

Well I don't know what it's like to be human, so how would I compare it?

Well, like... is everything really big? How do they talk? Everything taste different?

[wrigurun]

It differs for all of them! Things aren't so big for me since I'm about human sized, but things are quite big for moths for instance. That depends on the type of moth too.

It's like how humans walk on two legs but horses walk on four, you know?

Yep! Them's the breaks in this tower. Also, if you're new, you have to eat the oatmeal. Have to. Otherwise you'll do nothing but barf till you eat it. It's weird, I know, but it's true.

[The young woman in the bed across from Mayu's looks up from her book when the girl suddenly sits up, eyebrows raised in mild surprise. Ah, so this is her new roommate, is it?
