What is this sorcery and why is it even here
Characters: Kachessa and YOU!
Setting: Dorm 1-13, cafeteria, floor 3 and the aquarium on floor ten.
Format: I'll change to match
Summary: Kachessa wakes up in the tower and laments the loss of her happily ever after, and thinks maybe she's being punished for her sins while she explores.
Warnings: Possibility of the Venomania Event coming up in conversation!!! This means mentions of rape could happen. I will warn in individual threads if this does come up! Added note, if you don't want me to tag you ever, please drop me a line here.
Room 1-13
[So. You saved a bunch of women and then eloped with your girlfriend, had a child and you were living a happy life. Except then you wake up in a foreign bed in foreign clothes with a note saying your world is destroyed. Your first reaction is to not believe it, right? Well, not the case with Kachessa Crim. Instead, she frown at it and... Puts the note aside before getting up and exploring the room. She finds her trunk easily, and quickly changes into something more comfortable. A shirt, pants, boots... ...The key and a wedding band. ...Ha. Should she really be allowed to wear this, with Yufina and Rook both gone...?]
Cafeteria
[She doesn't really have much of an appetite when she finds her way to the cafeteria. It But the bland, boring oatmeal does help settle her stomach while she mulls over everything. She probably looks utterly depressed as she is, just idly eating her oatmeal and staring at her wedding band. Ha. ...Maybe this is punishment for her sins.]
Floor 3: Library
[In an attempt to distract herself, she's looking through books to read. Surely there's something here that can tell her about this purgatory? But, frustratingly, there isn't. So instead she's left to look for anything that might catch her eye. Anything that looks like it could be even remotely informative.]
Floor Ten: Aquarium
[...Okay now this is just getting ridiculous. What is this? How is this happening? Sorcery? Well, Kachessa Crim has had enough sorcery and demons to last her a lifetime. So she's going to sit on the stairs and just sort of wear an annoyed expression for awhile, because being annoyed at magic she used to not believe existed is better than just moping over her family.]

A-Aquarium /facehands and breaks hiatus more
Just... diving inside the aquarium and using their Longshot on one of those bigger fishes, yeah. And then the fish not-so happily attempts to get away and WOW they sure are falling out of the side of the Aquarium with that large fish in tow, getting water everywhere. Possibly also on you. Sorry about that? ]
Link pls.
...Excuse you.
SORRY BOUT THAT
It seems you have lost this battle, noble creature!
[ ..... Oh. Wait. And then notice Kachessa.
Oops.
Still holding (and attempting to keep still) the fish, yes. Ah, Silver Gauntlets, your usefulness is endless. Blinking. Er. ]
... Oh... yes? Is something wrong?
no subject
[NOW SHE HAS TO GO BACK TO HER ROOM AND CHANGE UGH. But now she's standing, at least, and trying to wring out bits of her outfit.]
no subject
[ Whoops. Embarrassed... s-sorry, Kachessa. ]
I apologize, it was a particularly difficult battle for something so small.
[ Link... Link this fish is pretty freaking big, how is that small, what even. ]
A-ah, if you need a change of clothing, I can offer you one...
no subject
[Ugh, what is with this person. Don't mind Kachessa, she's going to begin making her way back to the dorms. Because she is soaked and that's uncomfortable.]
no subject
... I did not mean to anger you, please come back!
no subject
[She's more annoyed than anything, but Link is free to follow. While. Chessa continues to wring out her shirt.]
no subject
I can dry you off, though! ... I... think. If I use the right spell, perhaps... in the right way...
[ Theoretically, if Link manages to use Farore's Wind just right... ]
no subject
[There's a bitter laugh as she continues on, now wringing out her hair.]
no subject
[ Link is quite bothered by this, really. In fact, they'll just worriedly glance at you, Kachessa. ]
no subject
[Kachessa sighs, then turns to Link.]
Do you want to hear a story?
no subject
[ But, Link will pause. Being a child still and all, they'd always loved this kind of thing. So innocent--they're not expecting something horrible. ]
But I would be willing to listen...
[ If she's willing to tell, anyway. ]
TW: Venomania Event/Mentions of Mind Control and Implied Rape
[She's not going to be explicit as to what happened, but the implications should be enough.]
no subject
[ ... But--Link will pause here, looking down. How to ask this...? ]
Though I... confess I know precious little about what that would... entail, exactly. I have never heard of a "harem".
[ Is this person really 17+ because wow Link sure is clueless--there's an oddly... almost overly mature sort of look to those eyes, but they speak of innocence, somehow, as well. Innocence and Courage... and compassion. Link's expression is soft. ]
But I would beg you to give those of us born of magic another chance. ... Not all are evil.
no subject
[Though she'll frown.]
And it's less that they are all evil and more that I've had more than my fill of it.
Cafeteria
Being alone is the worst part of dealing with any of this, and it doesn't seem right to just ignore her. So quietly, the young knight approaches the table before clearing her throat. There's a sword on her belt and a strange, black axe slung over her back but a friendly smile on her face.]
Excuse me ma'am, are you new here?
no subject
[ Ha... hahaha. Link looks kind of--unsure at that. Wife... she'd make a terrible wife. They... cook and clean and take care of people and are subservient, right? Sure, she can do all that, but she would never bow to someone else...
Though, Link knows little about most things in life, so there's a long sort of searching look as the Hylian tries to think about this. Mm... better to try to steer away from that. It's all a little weird for Link. ]
... I am sorry that he ruined magic for you. But, it can do good things, too. Transport people, heal them, protect them from harm... my friend's magic is able to remove bars and do all sorts of things. And I know a lot of fairies who are more than happy to help heal others when in need... but, this place does not have a lot of magic anyway, so I suppose you'll be happy to hear that.
Cafeteria
She's a new arrival and while he's unaware of her circumstances, it's enough to put her in this mood.]
Are you alright?
[A young man is standing near her table, looking mildly concerned.]
no subject
[Kachessa will sigh and begin to head back toward her dorm again. She's still soaked, after all!]
no subject
...So it would seem. May I help you?
Re: Cafeteria
...I woke up and found that everything I knew, everyone I loved, is gone. Would you be alright after that?
no subject
... There's also a towel.
Really! They're sorry.
But Link is suddenly glad that they set their warp point somewhere higher up, hah. ]
... At least let me make it up to you, um--
[ Wait, Link... totally forgot to ask for a name. Oops. :c ]
--I... I do not know your name yet, I am sorry. Are you new?
Third Floor
Good morning! Need help finding anything?
no subject
Kachessa Crim. And yes, I am. You?
no subject
[So now she's just bummed and looking for anything to catch her eye.]
Re: Cafeteria
[The time he went home was more than enough to convinced him. His Social Links wasn't something that can be easily falsified.]
Most people either don't believe it or they do for their own reasons.
no subject
... Link! Just Link. ... Everyone always has these two names, I do not really understand it, but it makes you all sound very important. Are you royalty?
[ Totally normal question from a Kokiri-raised Hylian, okay. ]
no subject
[It's a very grim view of what she did, saving those women. But, ah, it's how she currently views it. It has to be why she's here.]
no subject
[Kachessa pauses before pulling the shirt on.]
...That's a very complicated question to answer.
[And she'll leave it at that while she gets dressed and towels her hair.]
no subject
no subject
... Is it...?
[ Pausing. Maybe change the subject? Link considers this for a moment. ]
Well, then... do you have any questions about this place? It is a terrible sort of prison, but I have been here for the better part of over a year now--almost two soon, I think. Most new people have some trouble figuring things out... and if you are from a world like mine, the communication methods will probably seem strange.
no subject
[She thinks she's here to suffer for her sins. Oops.]
no subject
[She finds this curious. That's the only way she knows of communicating. A good old quill, some ink and some parchment. Maybe a wax seal, if you're nobility.]
no subject

no subject
[ Link smiles. ]
... Though we do have a mail system, now.

[Managing a small smile Amelia continues, hoping that perhaps a friendly face will help ease the shock of being here.]
My name is Amelia, I'm a soldier from the Grado Empire, although it's pretty likely we're not from the same world at all. May I ask your name? [And yet deep down she can't help but hope that maybe one of these days, she'll find someone who recognizes that name.]
no subject
But he feels there's some missing context. It doesn't excuse the actions completely.]
Then I can see why you believe that now. But regardless of what you believe, that's not the case here.
no subject
[...She doesn't know what machines are. So color her confused. Sorry.]
no subject
[Sorry, not from the same world. But she does appreciate how friendly Amelia is. So Kachessa will smile.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Amelia.
no subject
[She'll even smile a bit before focusing on her oatmeal again.]
Kachessa Crim. It's a pleasure to meet you.
no subject
[But she can't. It sounds too pretty a lie, that this is just some horrible place that isn't there to judge your sins.]
no subject
[He'll use his typical approach when it comes to meeting new people. Be polite to them, answer their questions and only stay on guard if they start harming people in the tower.]
no subject
There's no one here that could judge your sins. There's no Heaven, or God, as far as I'm aware, and no Angels either, other than the ones that have been brought here. Please, believe me, terrible things do happen here, but that's because of the Administrators, not because we did bad things in our own universes. And we're attempting to find a way to restore them, so we might be able to help everyone out, if it all goes well.
