[Dorm Room 2-08]
[Upon waking up, his first cue was the temporary sleep paralysis that threw him for a loop. When Kido became more conscious, he grew aware that nothing around him was his own. The room, the bed...this suit? Considering that, through everyone's efforts, was able to put an end to Sensui things would have calmed down. ~~And he got turned down by the girl he asked out.~~ When reading the letter, Kido hadn't expected trouble to surface so soon. He didn't want to buy that his world was in ruins like it stated.

Eventually he pulled himself off the bed to notice a trunk at the end of the bed. You gotta open things lying around right? Well he did, and look it here, some actual clothes were in it! They weren't just any clothes either, they were his.]

[Media Room]
[Now that he was all dressed and proper he had moved on from the dorm room. Media room was a little spice of home, but this wasn't really the time to play around. Every so often he would have to take breaks from those flight of stairs. Yusuke could probably scale them no problem. Hell anyone from his group could have. He didn't venture onto any untrustworthy floors. Which was a lot of them, especially the gory and scenic ones. Because one, who walks into a blood floor? And two, how can landscape even prosper inside a building? A media room was a little more reasonable and others were already here.]

[Cafeteria]
[Lastly was the cafeteria, the very bottom of the tower and also one of the floors that seemed to harbor a large number of people. At least compared to most of the others. The menu...was as various as ever. Nutrition bars and water...then the oatmeal.]

Is this an institution?

[What kind of salvation was this?]

[ Kuwabara ventured to the cafeteria to get something down his stomach even if it tasted like cardboard boxes. He grabbed a few and balanced Eikichi in one hand, while trying to keep balance with his water bottle. It was a nice form of discipline for him to try to do things beyond his abilities. He's been training himself silly since he was here. He didn't want to be behind when he got back home.

Hell the voice made him turn and double take. He then dropped all the shit that was in his hands onto the floor, except his cat in which was hanging at the end of his long sleeve sweat shirt. Kuwabara floored it and ran right up to him surprised as hell. ]

KIDO!!!

[ Ishtar found the karaoke machine, and she's softly singing to some of the songs on the machine. She had always found the media room fascinating. She found things she could never find at home and it was also nostalgic. She remembered that the common room in Facility had some things like this.

She remembered the card games she played and the karaoke she learned from Ichiru, and then singing it out with Itsuki. The old days that she could not go back to. At least now, she would live for tomorrow with Darres' support. She still hadn't gotten over a lot of things, but having Darres here helped her a lot. She turned her head to notice an unfamiliar face in the media room and she placed the mic down and turned to him. ]

Hello, are you lost?

[It was not long before someone all too familiar came around; in light of the situation the sensation was almost surreal to him. His world evidently had been destroyed and now he wasn't the only one saved.

Not that Kido knew the duration of time Kuwabara has actually been here.]

Kuwabara?

What's going on? I thought everything was taken care of.

[Kido hadn't actually planned on talking to anyone here, he was just taking a break from walking down all those stairs. He's never passed through so many floors before in one session.]

If you consider trying to get to the ground level lost, I think I am.

[Ivan stops in the doorway on his way back from the bathroom when he sees someone rummaging through one of the other trunks in the room. Presumably a newcomer, given his current lack of normal attire.]

Hello. We must be roommates. [Ivan gives a small wave as he steps inside. It's a bit of an awkward gesture, but he clearly means well.] I'm new here, too. I just woke up a couple of days ago.

[ Kuwabara stood right in front of him looking him over for a moment. Is that really Kido? He hadn't changed a bit since Kuwabara last saw him and that was a long time for him considering his preparations for college and stuff. He hadn't seen Kido that much since his detective days. Hell, Kido hadn't even grown all that much either.

The next thing he does is headlock Kido, why? Because he was so damn surprised to see someone from home and he was relieved. ]

You haven't changed a bit Kido!

[ He tightened his grip. ]

How're ya doin!'

[ Ishtar knew that he wasn't someone who had been here long with his response. She pushed herself off the couch and walked over to him for a more formal conversation. She didn't want to be too rude, even if formalities were the least of her worries. ]

Well, there isn't really a ground level. There's a first floor and other things like the morgue but you won't be able to get out of here. I'm sorry to bring you bad news haha.

[He certainly didn't remember Kuwabara being so prone to physical contact, especially with him since he hadn't really spent as much time with him like Kido had with Yusuke. The rather passive psychic tried to politely wedge out of Kuwabara's grip, but found his attempt to be useless.]

Ah! Kuwabara! [asjdhkasd]

I have no idea what's going on.

What are we doing here?

[How can she say all of that so casually?]

Are you saying we're trapped in here?

[Oh... someone else who was part of this room? There were two additional beds too, he wondered if they must have also belonged to others.]

We are? [A couple of days huh?] Who are you?

[ Because it was hard to not say it casually. Ishtar was so used to it, that it didn't bother her too much. ]

In short, yeah....that's about right. I mean sorry, I should probably be freaked but I'm not. I mean I've been here for a while now so it doesn't really faze me if you get what I mean....

[ Well, this was because everything was the past to him and also because those years, they must have spent time in contact with one another. Kuwabara didn't know where Kido was from so it might cause some confusion but hell, he didn't care. He was glad t see an ally here even though he would rather not see them here. ]

Well to answer yer question, we're in some sorta shit hole tower and when you say thing that was taken care of, ya meen Sensui and his goons right?

[ He tightened his grip more. ] That ain't the response you give to a guy after not seein' them for a while ya know?

Guess that means you just got here. We can't escape this place cuz some crazy asshole decided that they are our saviours and our homes are destroyed or some shit like that.

[Escape was futile, but he didn't really want to be locked up in a hold like this. As much as it must have been comforting to Kuwabara, it only further disoriented Kido.]

M-My apologies! [He didn't mean to offend his friend by the lack of greeting.] I'm very glad to see you, honest!

[Can you please let him go now?]

Yes, Sensui, his reign had been put to an end only a few days ago. [Which should help Kuwabara learn where in history Kido is from.]

You can't be serious!

[It seemed like ever since he got these powers, things only got worse. Really, he wouldn't mind losing them if it meant he could leave peacefully again.]

[So it was like that, was it?]

When you say "for a while" how long do you mean?

[ Yep, Kuwabara trained everyday and all day to get stronger. He took himself to the limit with the monsters here and took chances. Kuwabara was no the same as Kido knew him. He grew a bit for the better as he kept Kido in a lock for a bit longer before letting him go. He could feel that Kido was getting rather uncomfortable with his hold. ]

I didn't mean it seriously, Kido. I am glad you're safe and everything. It's not everyday I get ta see people from my world here ya know?

Yeah we handed him in good and stuff but Urameshi was so damn upset about it and-- wait ya mean it's only been a few days since Sensui's incident?!

[ He was rather surprised to hear that yeah even if he expected it. ] I wish I was shittin ya but this is the reality of stuff. We're stuck here jus' like the hundreds of people here already.

[ Yes pretty much. Ishtar was getting over depression and such too. ]

I mean probably about a year or more 'a while.'

[ She nervously smiled. ]

I know you're panicking and stuff but it's not going to do you good if you flip out.

That long? [To think he only just got here too.]

I-I know that!

[That meant so many things.]

Does that mean the problem behind it is not easy to solve?

[He never knew with Yusuke and the others. They were just so different from what he was use to. That and they were considerably violent.]

Are you the only one here? [He must have been if Kuwabara was this excited to see him.]

That's right. Everything was going back to normal before I came here.

[That was disappointing.] I see. [He may have sound dejected.]

I think so. [He points over at one of the other beds.] That's where I woke up. And my name's on the door, as well. I'm Ivan.

Well, I was also in another place, an experiment facility for about four years or so.

[ She replied giving him a brief smile. ]

Hey no need to get all panicky on me. I know you're really worried and stuff. Your face kind of gives it away. I'm Ishtar by the way. What's your name?

[ She smiled trying to make him feel a bit at ease. ]

No, it's not. Believe it or not, we're not technically in our real bodies and that collar we got on our necks, is proof.

[ Yes, Kuwabara couldn't lie about that. They were rather violent bunch of teenagers and the like ahahah. Kido got that right. ]

Yeah jus' me since...since Urameshi disappeared an' all.

[ Well, Yusuke's clone anyway. Kuwabara frowned at that thought. Clone or not, he was still Yusuke. ]

That's about three or so years ago fer me. Jus' a heads up Kido, most of us are from different times in our histories.

We're getting outta here so don't make that face Kido.

Urameshi was here too? [But not anymore? Could they be picked up and discarded so easily? Urameshi was the strongest person he knew.]

[Three or so?] You're from the future?

How do we get outta this one?

[There were more places like this? And sorry, but four years is long time to be away from home.] Still...

Kido Asato. [Relatively simple for a Japanese name.]

[Oh right, the blue thing on his neck.] If they're not our bodies, then what are they?

[Roommates huh? Was that for better or for worse?]

The name's Kido.

Who're the other two? [Who aren't here right now.]

[ Ishtar shook her head. ]

I know, but I've learned to accept it. It doesn't mean I'll let it have the best of me however, so Kido Asato...so which should I call you, Kido or Asato? Your name sounds .... what was it that he said-- oh Japanese. Ichiru taught me a bit of the language in the past.

[ She grinned cheerfully. ]

They're artificial ones. The only thing that's real is our souls.
