His breathing steadily calmed, if only out of necessity. He slowly lifted himself onto a shaky elbow and thoroughly rubbed his eyes with the other. "I...d-don't know..." Rick murmured, pausing to stop sniffling and release a heavy sigh. "I-It's a...a b-bit com-complicated...ah..."

Then, with another pang of frustration, Rick squeezed his eyes shut and quickly shook his head.
