Endou? Yeah, he had a gaggle of shadows following him. And they kind of amused him honestly. They didn't say anything, they didn't really do anything, they just...followed him around! That was no big deal.

What was a big deal, however, was when they stole the soccer ball and started playing keep away throughout the tower. While you people may be dealing with hateful, accusatory whispers, Endou's going to run past you chasing after his shadows with a laugh.

"Hey, come on guys! You can't play soccer without the ball, and you're not really playing it right!" If he bumps into you, he'll give you an apology and probably stop to figure out if you're okay. Because some of you really don't look like you're in the best of moods right now.

Those shadows aren't really getting too far away from him anyway, so he can get the ball back whenever he wants.

B August 14; Soccer Field in the evening

Even with the shadows talking, he seems to be holding up pretty well. Yeah they were...saying some pretty hurtful things. And yeah it was his own team doing it but...well. He couldn't help what happened. It wasn't his fault that this tower place took him, and being down about it wasn't going to help anything. Just like being sad Kidou left wouldn't help either. None of them would really want him to kick around like a lost puppy over it! So instead he focused on others.

He wanted to help everyone else in the tower. So he was going around with a soccer ball, doing some tricks to try and get a smile. Or stopping by people just to ask them how they are.

But it's when Kidou started talking that he started struggling. While the others just generally told him he was abandoning the team, Kidou told him he was being a horrible captain. That he wasn't even trying to help them. He didn't just leave them, he doesn't care enough to try and figure out how to help. And...well that wasn't strictly true either. He did care! He just didn't know where to start so...no. He wasn't really helping.

So, later in the evening he can be found on the soccer field, kicking his ball around by himself. He tries a few hissatsu, but they all fizzle out or miss the goal. The more Kidou talks, the more off his game gets.

You can protect any goal, Endou, but you're terrible at protecting your friends.

[ He isn't the only one who's having problems with Kidou, either way. Not that Urotsuki has a shadow following her around, she's way too focused on her relationships in the tower to mind anyone from her own home, but she too noticed him missing a while ago. And even right now she's wearing the boy's goggles around her neck. They look like they've been patched up a lot as if they were horribly broken (courtesy of the tower when they gave them to her) but they're definitely there. Even as she watches Endou with slightly heavy eyes, more heavy than her usual blank expression. Seeing him just reminds her of Kidou's departure too, after all.

She doesn't even say anything. She just stands at the sides of the field, staring and watching him. ]

[[At first she isn't noticed, the boy seemingly too focused on trying to make this goal. He attempts another hissatsu - it's nothing he's familiar with, the shoots he knows impossible to accomplish without his friends (as the shadows remind him constantly. You could do those if you hadn't left them behind), but he's trying something new maybe - knocking the ball into the air. He leaps up behind it, gathering as much energy as he can to focus into the kick...

Only to have some cutting words from his shadows throw him off. His foot hits the ball at an awkward angle and all that energy transferring to it fades out as it falls just short of the goal. Endou hits the ground on his back and lays there for a bit, eyes closed, just...breathing.

God this was shitty.

When he opens his eyes though, he notices her out of the corner of them.]]

...yo, Urotsuki.

[[He raises a hand, but he's not sitting up just yet.]]

[ At first there's only a very slow nod when he first notices her, as if she isn't sure how to reply now she's finally been noticed. She was just fine with watching, really.. although "fine" would be an exaggerating, she can't fully be fine while being reminded of the boy who left.

After another moment she does speak up though, her voice a little more hollow than her usual blank light one. ]

Hi. .. It's not going well.. huh.

What isn't? [[It takes him a second before it clicks and he quickly scrambles to his feet, forcing a laugh.]]

Hahaha! No, it's going great! Good training! I'm just...working on......strengthening my back!

[[Look at this grin. What you talking about gurl????]]

Ah.. I bet it's very strong by now then..

[ She seems to believe it at least. Urotsuki is horribly gullible, so she just nods before she finally steps over to him, slowly and calculated as if every single step takes effort until she's right next to him. ]

You.. haven't seen Yuuto either, huh..? Since he's.. gone. [ Even her speaking is happening incredibly slow. ]

Definitely! [[He laughs...but that dies down at Urotsuki's question. And he sort of wilts a little after a moment, looking down.]]

Mm...no I haven't.

[[Liar. I'm right here.

Oh wait, that's right. You had replaced me.

His brows furrow momentarily at those words before he smiles at the girl again.]]

But don't worry! Kidou won't stay away for long. He's always helps his friends, and he loves you! There's no way he'd leave us behind. He'll be back!

[ He'll be back. .. Huh. She knows this guy knows him more than she does, probably, because even if she spent a lot of time - a year - with him here in the tower before, she wasn't in his home world. She's never been. She grabs hold of the goggles around her neck for a moment as she thinks. ]

That guy said Yuuto was in danger. Ruana... we need to save him from her, right..? We need to save his soul.. I won't let Yuuto get hurt.

[[Kidou's in danger...that's right. People who are sent home, she feeds off their souls...right?

He looks at Urotsuki, then places a hand on her shoulder.]]

I won't let him get hurt either. I won't let Ruana touch him, I promise! We'll save him.

[[It's said mostly for her, because he already knew he wouldn't let Kidou get hurt. But...well she's his girlfriend. While he's gone, Endou feels he needs to take care of her. It's his job to protect her if she needs it.

He won't let anyone hurt her either.]]

.. Hmm. [ She nods, a little more resolute. Her hands leave the goggles alone for a moment, and instead she grabs his hands (including the one on her shoulder, yes) to hold them in her own hands. It's a little tightly, but not too badly so - it's probably because of the determination she too feels at those words. ]

We'll save him together for sure. We can't let Yuuto disappear all by himself..

[[He gave her hands a squeeze in return with a resolute nod.]]

We won't let him! He can't get rid of us that easily!

[ It takes a moment.

But then Urotsuki's usual expression actually manages to change into a small smile.. and then she even actually giggles just a tiny bit. ]

Yuuto's really an idiot if he thinks he can escape us...

Yeah, definitely!

[[Though he's sure Kidou wouldn't even dream of leaving them behind like this...he probably never wanted to. But hey, he's not going to say that. Urotsuki is laughing, and that's a small victory.]]

We'll just have to kick his butt when he gets back for this, right?

Ah, we'll have to do it gently though.. [ How do you gently kick someone's butt? The world can only guess, but apparently Urotsuki still seems pretty set on it as she nods to herself.. ] I mean.. I wouldn't want Yuuto to be hurt. And I'm sure he'll need to have some fun and warmth once he comes back from being stuck like that too..
